"Why?" you may ask--because it's the easternmost point of continental South America (and therefore the easternmost point of the Americas. "Continental" because South America has islands that sit more easterly than the continent, including Fernando de Noronha, which is really worth a visit too).
The location is not too far from the tourist section of Paraiba's capital of Joao Pessoa (the Cabo Branco neighborhood), and there are many beaches nearby as well as beachside bars and restaurants that make it more than worthwhile. read more
