I started with the chopped seafood salad which was really bland. It was missing whatever dressing and it was simply chopped seafood with romaine lettuce. Yucky!!!! The is my favorite steakhouse so far. I used my Open Table app to make my reservation for two, then made an update for an impromptu party of four. This steakhouse is located inside of the Isle Casino in Pompano. There you can also enjoy the slots or horse racing. The Farraddays host promptly greeted us with a smile and cordially seated us in a quaint booth. The server greeted us with a smile as we ordered some wine and lobster bisque. I ordered the large NY Prime with a lobster tail on the side. My wife also ordered a steak. The kids...well, they ordered steaks as well, along with some salads. Our steaks were cooked perfectly as ordered. I feel that we should have had two sides, not one, for the price. Our sweet potatoes were larger than normal. Service was great! Our glasses were always filled. This is a great place to celebrate special events or occasions. A piece of advice, know your wines. You can buy a bottle of their house wine for $17. read more

It was my birthday weekend and Michelle and I decided to go to Farraday's at the Isle to celebrate. I had a coupon from the Isle for $50.00 towards food at any of their restaurants. Farraday's is a really beautiful restaurant and once inside you don't realize that your inside a casino. It was late, so we had no difficulty in being shown to a very nice seat immediately. We chose a shell against the wall so we could sit next to each other and still do some good people watching. We ordered drinks and bread was served as we looked over the menu. I was in the mood for ribs and Michelle wanted shrimp. We started with a bowl of French onion soup with two spoons. French onion is one of my favorites but not every place makes it to my taste. The presentation was excellent. The soup was served in a cast iron looking bowl which looked like an antique cast iron pot, but in miniature. All the ingredients were there but the soup lacked the "pizazz" that I expected from a restaurant of this caliber. What a let down! Michelle than ordered a super sized shrimp cocktail with eight super sized jumbo shrimp. I'm not a shrimp aficionado so I reneged on tasting them but Michelle said they were great! This appetizer can be ordered with up to 12 jumbo shrimp. Next came the baby back ribs. I ordered a full rack with a side of French fries. Michelle got a baked sweet potato since we were going to split up the ribs. The rack was large and was plenty for both of us. They were cooked perfectly. They didn't "fall off" the bone but came off easily once you grabbed a bite. The ribs were good but next time I'm going to try one of their steaks! We finished up with coffee and the best tasting coconut cream pie I have ever eaten in my life. It would be worth a trip there just to have the pie! Michelle must have clued them in that it was my birthday and they brought the pie with a sparkling candle and sorrounded our table singing "happy birthday" to me. Went to Farraddays for dinner. The hostess was lovely and very friendly. She sat us in a booth, server came over, think she was overwhelmed. They definitely did not enough staff. Ordered cocktails, arrived and noticed that they lacked flavor, when manager came over he told us it's the Caesar's pour, 3/4 ounce. They charged $23.50 for 3/4 pour of McCallens and 3/4 pour of Gran Mariner. I ordered a Tito's and cranberry and got cranberry juice. That was removed from check. We ordered a wedge salad ($14) to receive yellow bitter lettuce, disgusting. I ordered Prime Rib, medium, came out cold, sent back, put on grill and could not even chew it, took off check. Husband ordered Strip. Check total for strip steak, wedge salad, creamed spinach, McCallen and Gran Marnier $100. Rip off. Never will go back. Much better dinner at Longhorn read more

This was quite possibly the most disappointing experience I've ever had. We had a reservation at 8, the gentleman at the front was very kind and welcoming. Once we were seated, our waitress, Robyn, didn't come over to greet us until 8:15. We did not receive our food until 9:30 and the waitress came over one time in between. After the food was delivered, she didn't come back to follow up with us. We had to ask another employee for silverware and salt and pepper. The steak was over cooked, the chicken was dry, our $10 baked potato wasn't even cut open and came with no toppings. The food runners were very kind and literally running through the restaurant to get people's food out in time. When our waitress finally decided to come check on us, we asked for our checks and she responded with "Are all of you separate? It'll take awhile." One of our party won a $200 gift voucher for here recently and treated us to a great meal here.A nice basket of assorted warm bread was rapidly served. The oysters were sea fresh,delicious, as were the crab cakes. The ladies salads were well executed too. One main dish,grilled lobster was somewhat dry and was rapidly replaced with a new streamed one with no fuss by the attentive manager Dominique.Our steaks were perfect and the sea bass beautiful.Sides of broccoli and garlic and onion rings were really tasty, as was my peppercorn sauce with my filet steak and mashed potatoes. We were too full for much then but I had to have the creme brulee....a double sized portion,with fresh fruit and a really hard glaze. I got the jumbo crab cake as an appetizer. It is fried (FYI) but was good. I then got the 10 ounce filet, Mac n cheese and two desserts (cheesecake and bread pudding) the steak was cooked perfectly and the taste of the steak and the Mac n cheese were great. Visited this restaurant for the first time on Friday Dec, 24th, 2021. the atmosphere of the place was nice. the server (Gary) we had was not so nice. My date and I did not care for him nor did we care for his pre-judgmental attitude. He being very nice nasty due to his position he needed to hold as a server, but he body language and his tone told a whole different story. Opinions are made daily when it comes to one another, but when you're blatantly forth coming in a public establishment that is not owned by you needs to be kept between you and your soul. Gary was very rude and disrespectful to say the least. when asked by my date if he had an issue his body language changed, stating that he wanted us to be happy, then in the same breath asked if we would like another server. Our response to that was "we think that would be a good idea". Another server comes over and introduce himself and ask what was the issue, the situation was explained and the server tells us that GARY said we asked for someone black. To our surprise our mouths dropped and what was thought of him (GARY) was very correct. The audacity of him. The server then proceeded to say that he was going to send another server of different ethic background, but she said no she did not want to come, because GARY said that we wanted someone black. How stupid does that sound, which proved our thoughts in regards to him. A very distasteful experience for the very first time and won't be back. read more

The service was good. It wasn't very busy and that MAY be why, but regardless, very happy with the service. The Lobster Bisque was really good. The Wedge Salad was very good too. I ordered the "Prime Rib Eye" and it was "ok". For the price paid, it should not have been just "ok". The other meals on the table included the Kansas City Strip which was "good" but again, for the money paid, should be more than "good". The sides were all pretty good too. If I get lucky on the casino floor and want to have a steak right then and there, I'll try it again. Otherwise, even Outback Steakhouse has them beat on price and quality. read more

Went with friends for the Sunday brunch. Seated on the balcony overlooking the casino, nice but a little noisy, obviously. Gentleman at the front was very personable and accommodating, seating us before reservation time. Waitress Robyn was very nice and knew our friends as they go often to this establishment. Ordered our food...mine was chicken and biscuits as was my partners'. While my chicken was moist both orders were kind of dark like fried in old oil and my partners' chicken was very dry. Sides were hash brown casserole, was okay but no distinctive flavor. Friends ordered Steak and Egg burger which looked really good. Best was the Goat Cheese Grits, will have to try that at home. Dessert chose Pumpkin Cheesecake, generous piece, alot of cinnamon in it. Others got Flan which was a small disc about the size of a baseball but they said it tasted good and got a second round. Surprise there was no offer of juice or coffee to enjoy with meal, I guess because they offer bottomless Mimosa or Bloody Mary for an extra $10, it's not something they think people will want as an accompaniment to their meal. 2 of us celebrated a birthday there on 8/14/18. It was a slow Tuesday night with only about 3 or 4 other tables. We were sat at a nice rounded booth and enjoyed the quiet solitude for a nice romantic dinner. 1st, let me say I'm sorry for being so long winded, but if you want one man's honest review from someone that has 20 years of food and beverage experience, here it is. James was our waiter. He was great. Had it not been for him I would have rated this place 1/2 star. For a Casino restaurant the prices were fair and they don't gouge you, so no complaints here. We began with a nice size Lump Crab Cake and French Onion Soup appetizers. The Crab Cake sat on a slice or 2 of bacon which was a nice touch, but the outer shell, if not deep fried, tasted like it. The inside was blended into a mushy paste that was far too over breaded. There was no lumps of crab and not much taste of any crab either. The onion soup had a layer of a dark bread under the cheese and in the moisture and heat it dissolved into the soup turning it a very dark brown and overwhelmed any onion soup flavor. 0 for 2. We had a Double Pork Chop and Prime Rib for entree's.. The waiter explained that the chop was so thick, that to keep it moist on the inside, they put it in a cryovac pouch and then boiled it for 22 hours. Then they finish it off on the grill. What was I thinking...Against my better judgment, this is what I ordered. OK.. Never...NEVER..NEVER boil a pork chop. It not only had no pork flavor, but it was not kept moist as advertised. It was also way too thick to eat (almost 2 inches). I wound up slicing it down the middle between the 2 bones into 2 separate pieces. I only ate about 1/2 of it because it was not good and I was hungry. Funny what you'll eat when your hungry. They would have been better off if they had just butterflied it, lightly seasoned it and grilled it. It was also served with some sort of a reddish colored sauce that obliterated any flavor and overwhelmed it. I wound up scraping off all of it that I could just to make it somewhat palatable. More than 1/2 of it was left. Why does every chef think he was born in France or deserves to be the next TV star?? The Prime Rib was not cooked to order and came to us too rare. An attempt was made to eat it this way but it wasn't very tender and needed to be sent back for a reheat. Another attempt was made to eat it but you had to fight it with a steak knife to cut into it. Again, this is supposed to be tender Prime Rib. James took it back and we were told the Chef thought it was OK, but the Manager agreed with us and without asking, they did the right thing and took it off the bill. This was PRIME RIB in descriptive name only. Most likely it was Choice or who knows what.. .0 for 4. We had a slice of Cheese Cake and what was advertised as Pistachio Gelato for desert. Cheese Cake is either Ricotta style that balls up or the smooth creamy type. This was neither.. I'm not certain what it was but more than 1/2 of it was also left. And I don't care what the label on the container it came in said, or what they were told by the vendor. this was NOT in any manner or fashion to be confused with the word or product known as Gelato. It was Ice Cream and only a fair grade of it at best. 0 for 6. Finally, and i'll say it again.. James, our waiter, with all the disappointing food, made the evening a pleasant time. As S. We went to Farradday's on a Sunday evening. It was OK. Asked about the seafood, since there was a rather large section on the menu. Waitress said it was all *fresh frozen* since the local area was overfished. We did order the seafood sampler to share. The oysters were small. The shrimp were large, but tasted like they had been sitting in a bowl of water. The crab meat looked & tasted like canned. The lobster *salad* was overwhelmed by pineapple. The cocktail sauce was your regular ketchup/horseradish combo. My husband's Rib Eye & baked potato were good. Nothing special. My filet was dry, even though I ordered it medium rare & it looked cooked to order when I cut into it. The vegetable of the day was roasted Brussels sprouts in a balsamic reduction, which I typically enjoy. They were dry & tough. We laughed at how something so simple to make could turn out so wrong. I would not recommend this restaurant. The service was slow, the ambiance mediocre and the food just so-so. We waited for 10 to 15 minutes before any wait staff even approached our table. We were then provided with water, and a basket of bread. No one bothered to ask if we preferred bottled or tap water. The waiters rushed away. Eventually our order was taken. While we waited, we observed the waiters literally running through the restaurant even though half of the restaurant was empty. One waiter running by actually bumped my head and barely apologized. Overall the service was rushed when it was provided and not at all personal. My husband ordered an appetizer and a salad, and both were brought at the same time rather than as individual courses. When I told the server to return the salad until the appetizer was finished, he did not, leaving the courses stacked on the table. The oyster appetizer was just okay. The salad was unremarkable. I ordered medium rare lamb chops, which arrived medium well (barely pink). The side of sweet potato hash was missing. The asparagus was outstanding. My husbands filet was also cooked beyond the medium rare order. We ordered a brownie bread pudding to share, which was good. The clientele also detracted from the ambiance, arriving in shorts, flip-flops and the like, which the restaurant accepted. Definitely not a fine dining experience on any level. It was ok. I didn't finish it, which says A LOT - soup is my favorite and bisque is my favorite soup. It just wasn't hot enough and there wasn't much flavor. Lots of nice chunks of lobster, tho! Ordered the tournedo filet medallions with foie gras. Sounded amazing and the presentation was amazing but again, it was not hot. The center of filet was not warm and not because undercooked but because it obviously sat for a few minute before it came out. Sweet potato was great but how could it be bad with cinnamon butter? Finished w a comically large creme brulee that was actually really good - perfect caramelization. Got the check, tipped very generously bc Brooks was great (about 38%) and headed out. Imagine our surprise when we were working the the casino the next day and Brooks approached with a check and said he had accidentally forgotten to charge us for the $42 bottle of wine we had. I was pretty shocked as I've worked in food service and to be tracked down by a server the day after one has eaten at a restaurant is shocking, to say the least! Incredibly unprofessional - certainly was not our mistake. And we had tipped generously bc bill was lower than expected!! So he wants $42 and I want to tell him to put his tip toward it but my dining companion prevailed. Was incredibly awkward and I know will NEVER return. This was entirely his fault and, based on his error, he received a bigger tip. The restaurant should always eat the cost there. I've never worked anywhere that would permit a server to track down customers the next day based on their own error and demand $, especially after such a tip. This was a clear sign that this is not an upscale steakhouse but a cheap imitation. And c'mon, a $49 filet special should be served hot! read more

This restaurant is up on the second level in the Isles Casino here in Pompano Beach. Its a beautiful space. So unexpected in a casino. Also unexpected, is the food, the staff. Amazing! Dominique, the Manager is everywhere.. He bounces around the dining room with seemingly endless energy, greeting everyone, many it seems by name, remembering the wine you drank last visit, water, flat or sparkling and making sure you're comfortable & well fed. And his wine knowledge is brilliant! The servers are attentive & funny & always aware of your needs. Then there's the chef, Johnny. Appearing to be way to young to be that talented his menu is compact, yet with enough variation that there's something for everyone. Steaks are cooked to perfection. Burgers are big beautiful and very generous is size. There's a spicy chicken sandwich that is beyond perfection and his Panna Cotta would make your Italian grandma jealous! Winning at the casino will soften the following review, so I will begin with positives. My husband and I both ordered salads, which were very good. I had the asparagus, hearts of palm salad, it was delicious and the presentation was lovely. It looked like a country picket fence and a flower garden. The lemon dressing was perfect. The wait staff couldn't answer basic questions about options on the menu. So it all came down to the food. Tonight, they were not that busy so we sat at a table in the bar area, because we thought service would be better than in the main dining area. Five guys sat down at the next table and we knew it was basically over for us. As she passed our table, we told her our order and she responded in a curt tone with a twisted face that we would have to wait until she came back. When she walked off, we got up and left. If you want a really good steak, this is not the place. Been there two times now and disappointed with the steaks both times. First time we had the small fillet and the split bone (means half thick) wet aged rib eye. Wet aged is their less expensive cut and it was obvious, both dry and disappointing. Second time tried the prime ( more expensive) fillet and KC strip. This time the fillet was good but the strip over done. Attentive server Danielle also observed this and immediately offered a replacement that I accepted. The replacement was a nondescript piece of meat that might just as well have been boiled it was so bad. Otherwise, nice space with good service but don't order steak in this "steak house". read more
