Café Tiffanys was perfect. Café Tiffanys was made up of a number of balcony-table-layers surrounding a pool inside the mall. The view isn't all that fantastic (but then again, it's inside a mall so what do you expect?), but for a mall café, the seating was comfortable, service was fast, and cakes were delicious. There was a huge selection of ice cream-based drinks and desserts (ranging from 4-7 euros, if I remember correctly). We opted for the Truffle-torte (3.50 euros), which turned out to be absolutely fantastic. That alone deserves five stars. So overall: Amazing, given its location in a mall. I'd come back if I were in the area again, but it doesn't quite achieve the ambiance of a normal café. Loved the cake! Personally not a fan of marzipan, but any marzipan fan should check out their large selection (probably around 5 different kinds) of marzipan cakes. Definitely best as a mid-afternoon shopping break than for studying. Didn't seem to have all that many drink options. (and many drinks contained ice cream.)

A relaxed atmosphere, unobtrusive dedicated staff and attention to detail provided an evening of discovery and brilliance, deviating from the more than traditional experiences I have had in at some 5 star restaurants. This German restaurant is one of the few in the Northern part outside of Berlin that specialize on…read morewild boar, deer, duck, goose, and fish dishes. LOCATION: 4 stars The restaurant is located right next to lake Gorinsee. Nice views (see pictures) included. You can also walk around the lake and through the forest which will take you about 30-40 minutes. In the summer there are several small beaches, mostly crowded though. FOOD: 3 stars We went for the Christmas menu and ordered Wildschweinfilet mit Klößen (wild boar with dumplings), Gänsekäule (leg of goose), and Zanderfilet (pike-perch filet with potatoes). All dishes came with traditional red and green cabbage on the side. The meat was super soft and tasty, so were the potatoes and the dill sauce for the fish. 18.90 for the main dish was a bit pricey though. As a starter we got the Pilzsuppe (mushroom soup), which to my surprise was watery and had bacon in it, hence a strong taste of pork, which I disliked. Dessert was okay - vanilla ice with hot cranberries, a nice and refreshing combination. AMBIENTE: 2 stars As it was pointed out in the German reviews, if you're seated in the Wintergarten it doesn't really feel like a restaurant, more like you're sitting in a train station. It looks like most seats are not in the actual restaurant but in the attached Wintergarten, so chances are high you end up there. Sit inside if you can. If you plan on driving up North out of Berlin for some meat dishes you might also want to try the restaurant Waldschänke am Rahmersee - similar concept but better atmosphere.
