Recently I purchased a beautiful wool skirt. Seeing it was a little tight in the waist, I took it to Fashion Fitter to be altered. The result is wonderful. The skirt looks like it was always as this. What I appreciate the most about this shop, is it's neatness, friendliness, and I as a customer was treated with respect, professionalism, and knowledge to the wool. I am SO upset with this place. I bought a bargain priced gown and was NOT planning to get it altered due to budget constraints but I thought I'd at least get a quote... I was quoted that the alterations for my gown would be $25-50.00. So I agreed. She kept my gown for 5 months (WAY too long) and it was finished 2.5 weeks before my wedding. She then charged me 4x the price I originally paid for the gown!!! I could have bought a new gown for what I paid! She also calls her clients mean names and shouts. It was a terrible experience. I no longer am able to afford a wedding cake because of what she did. I can't believe she lied to me about the price. At no point did she tell me it would cost more than the original quote. Will never use this business again. Audrey took entirely too long altering my wedding dress. I had to call several times to set up appointments to come in and try it on. She had the dress for 5 months and didn't really start working on it until 2 weeks before I needed it and expected me to come in every other day to try it on. When I asked how much the alterations were going to run me, she would say "we will have to see when we finish". She quoted me around $1400, but then said "God told me to only charge you $850." I did not even pay $850 for the dress itself. I had budgeted $400 on the high end for alterations. She is a scam artist using "God" as a way make it seem like a good deal. On my wedding day, my dress was still loose and falling off of my shoulders. read more

In early February 2017, my daughter and I came to Fashion Fitter's to have a child's size 7 tankini bottoms altered and two pairs of my denim shorts altered. The posted completion time was March 18 - about five weeks away. I was agreeable to this. I asked Audrey for an estimate and she told me they were easy alterations and wouldn't be to much. March 18 came and went and I began calling weekly. The excuses were non-stop: it's prom season, it's wedding season and then her brother was ill. The next thing I know it is the end of June. My child is growing like a weed at this rate the swimsuit isn't going to fit her if/when we ever get it back. Finally the last week of July Audrey calls. My three items are ready. I asked what the cost was as they don't take debit or credit cards. She proceeds to hem and haw. She said my daughter's swimsuit bottoms had a lot of ruffles (2 rows!) and the fee was $138! I about fell over. What?! Five months and $138 on three items with minimal work?! I was not happy. I sent my husband to pick the stuff up and Audrey tried to make excuses and say we had a rush order (is five months rush?) and that she couldn't help it her brother had some health issues. We got the clothes home and my daughter's bottoms are not straight and one pair of my shorts I don't think was ever touched as all the same issues still exist and unfortunately I haven't lost any weight. We have used Fashion Fitters several times. Each time has taken longer than stated, but never this time and at this price. Do yourself a favor and AVOID Fashion Fitters. I heard of a much better place in Woodway and it will be worth my gas money for quality and efficiency. read more

First time I've been here and I'm not pleased with my customer service. The lady who works here is constantly soooo rude to me that I don't want to see them ever again. (Ex)I had received a missed call from them so I called back. I notified her that I was calling back to check on the reason for the call and she responds, well who are you?!? I would actually rate this 1-1/2 stars if possible. Called about having my formal altered, and also for my mother's dress. They were both full length formals, for my son's wedding. Audrey was very friendly over the phone and indicated there would be no problem having the dresses ready by my date requested. Went in for first fitting. Waited about a week and called to check on status of dresses. They had NOT started on them. Ended up having several fittings. One time they did nothing on my dress between the two fittings, but did on my mother's. Dresses were ready one day after requested date, after reminding them promised date. I was disappointed that they did not press dresses after finishing alterations. My mother stated the arms on her dress were too tight. Did not receive any type of invoice or receipt. Audrey/owner simply read off what was done to my dress from writings on a scrap of paper and quoted total price. The total was over $200.00. Audrey & other staff (Carolyn maybe?) were friendly. I would not return, or recommend. read more

I had several different types of clothing altered this year -- dress shorts, slacks, sports coats and a tuxedo-- all presented unique challenges from a fit perspective. I was delighted with the end result for all the items and would highly recommend this business to anyone who's looking for quality alterations at a very fair price. read more

Will not Ever use her again. When I took in three bridesmaid dresses to be altered I was told they wouldn't have any issue making our tight timeline and the dresses would be ready three weeks prior to us leaving for the wedding. When I called to check on them a week before the deadline she gave herself I found out she had not started working on them. We finally were able to pick up the dresses the day before we left for the wedding leaving no time for them to be pressed. To top off the fact that they were three weeks late getting the dresses to me, the cost to alter 3 bridesmaid dresses (2 of them jr bridesmaids) was outrageous. Please save yourself the stress and money and do not use her. read more

Audrey worked with me to alter my dress although I was living in Colorado and in town for limited amounts of time and only occasionally. Dress fit perfectly in the end and it cost half as much as other seamstresses quoted. Literally changed every part of a lace dress for $200! She's a character, but her work is great and prices reasonable. read more

I won't ever be coming back here again. It took 7 weeks for alterations to a bridesmaids dress... Wasn't ready to be picked up until the DAY BEFORE I had to leave for the wedding. The cups that she placed in were stitched in with one stitch at the top, so after traveling, they came loose and I ended up having to take them out completely on the day of the wedding. And the cost for alterations was as much as I paid for the dress itself. Never again! read more

Does good work but be sure you have lots of $$$$ when you pick it up. I was quoted $13 for each layer to hem. My dress was 2 layers so I expected it to be $26. She says lets do this and it needs to be taken in a little here and suggested lingerie straps and I asked her to make a modesty panel for the front V of my dress. My bill was $182. $70 for hemming, $45 for modesty panel and $16 for straps and and balance was for the things she suggested. My mother of bride dress only cost $199. I never dreamed it would be that expensive. As I said do not go unless you have big bucks. read more

I have used Fashion Fitter for all my many alterations for the past 20+ years; and I have sent many people there as well, telling them that if they want an article of clothing to fit properly, Audrey is the best-- and if she can't do it, no one can. I have never been disappointed in my finished product. She has altered slacks, jeans, swimsuits, dresses, jackets, and coats. Yet my most awesome experience was when I came to her with a skirt I had special ordered from a bridal shop for my son's wedding. Not only was the skirt delayed in its promised arrival time-- it was not even the pencil skirt I had been fitted for at that shop. The wedding was in 2 days-- and Audrey was able to completely fashion a pencil skirt from the full/ flared skirt without even using a pattern-- she just started cutting and pinning and sewing, and she completely saved my outfit and my sanity!! Her prices are very fair-- and as it is with everything-- you get what you pay for-- always a quality product from Fashion Fitter. read more
