I had agreed to pay a £150 charge, which had been mentioned by another agent of the same company. My contract with them only included from breakdown to the garage, not from the garage to my home. I phoned others who couldn't do it. I was desperate. A neighbourhood website posted 'Gary's Autos'. I read the reviews... they seemed too good to be true, but I have to tell you, they were all true! Gary is an absolute gem of a bloke. When I phoned Gary, he was stuck in a traffic jam up near Hull and had been driving for at least 5 hours. That wasn't a problem for him. He'd phone me when he got back to Westerham, just south of the M25. Next day he collected my car from the garage and brought it home, cheaper than the other company I mentioned. Brilliant service! Put his contact number in your phone. You never know when you might need first rate assistance!

Anyway, I was searching on the web and found this site called http://www.loanyourselfmoney.co.uk they said iI could borrow upt to £1m (I only wanted £400) and that they'd give me the loan against a watch or some jewellery. Having never considered a pawnbroker before, I thought I'd give it a go the website looked nice and refreshing (not something I'd expect from a pawnbroker) so i thought 'Why not?' My watch is worth about £1000 as I only bought it a year ago. Their site instantly told me that they could lend me up to £600 if the valuation of the watch was £1000 and they would'nt check my credit status. Too good to be true? So I applied through the website for an appointment to have the loan agreed. Within 10 minutes of applying for the loan online, I got a call back from a very nice lady who arranged for me to visit in in their branch on Fleet Street. Turns out the website is the online brand of a company called Wessex Pawnbrokers and Finance. I went down to their shop the next day and got my £400 no problem. The service I got was like walking into Starbucks not what I thought a pawnborker would be at all. Best of all, the interest was only 60% (very high I hear you say), but compared to Wonga, it is way cheaper. And it does'nt go on your credit file (I have checked!). They did'nt ask me what I was borrowing it for, they just wanted to see my watch and gave me the cash instantly. I really was surprised at how easy and quick the whole thing was. I'll update this reveiw when I go back to get my watch maybe its not so easy to get your items back (this is on my mind a bit). But I would recommend these guys without a shaddow of doubt based on my experience so far.

OK, non of us likes paying to have our car fixed but we all know it has to be done so why pay…read morethrough the nose. My cars rather too old now to be paying top dollar at a BMW dealership so when I started using these guys I was really pleased. They are really friendly way cheaper than BMW and even Halfords (just had to get my brakes fixed as apparently running over little old ladies is frowned upon). They even have a car washing service that is great value for money if like me you're too lazy to do it yourself. They don't just service BMW's so whatever car you have they can help and they've been there for years, so they aren't some fly by night dodgy mechanic. Big thumbs up.
