My brakes were making an awful noise! Time for brake pads I thought. Rene started the service and realized the problem was much worse! The calipers needed to be replaced as well. As scary as that sounds, Rene took care of it and was so reasonable with the labor! He showed me exactly what the issue was so I understood. Buyers beware, had a mechanic come out to my home for an engine swap. Seemed like a very nice guy, he quoted me two days to finish the work and we are going on over a month. He would tell us he was coming to work on the car and show up for a few hours 1/2 days a week. We ended up spending more money then we wanted to on rental cars which isn't even the real problem. The real problem we had was he would just not respond and still hasn't responded my wife paid him thinking he would come back to finish the work but now the mechanic is still not answering. For the work done he did give us a really good price and also a very good engine in term of mileage but the fact that he said he could have the work done and just not show up all week is just bad business. Be up front if the job will take you two months let the customer know before telling them everything they want to hear and not following through with your end. I wanted to wait to see if they would reach out to come see the car like he told us but at this point I doubt I'll hear back from him so this is a warning the price and the mechanic may seem nice but take it to a shop where you know they will get the work done in a timely manner. Because you run the risk of them just coming when they want and not getting back to you. read more
