A very easy wooded trail leading to one of many hidden out-of-the-way Adirondack Ponds/Lakes. Roughly, 1.3 miles to Fawn Lake which was of a nice size, with an appearance that canoes and kayaks would be the best watercraft given the depth. Canoeing and kayaking assumes that you can portage in the mile, thou that might a shorter access which I was not able to recon. The Fawn Lake trail gentle rise and drop, thou at the time we hiked there were a number poorly drained sections. Fear not alternate detours have been worn down by other travelers. Best to pack in (AND OUT) water & snacks for a quiet time on a waterside boulder. Don't forget to bring bug stuff, and include treats for your domesticated fury friends. read more
