We needed the work done on a specific date due to our work commitments, and TVBC was recommended to me by a work colleague. No problem with the dates, all booked in by Dave the MD. Paul came round on the due dates and took out our ancient boiler and tank and fitted the new ones. Impressive work, as I was a bit worried about making good in our kitchen as the original boiler was so old, but Dave priced a new one, the dimensions of which was almost exactly the same as the old one. Run by Dave, and ex-British Gas fitter, it concentrates on heating systems, and has a menu pricing system so you know what you're going to be in for. I think the prices are comparable, but it's not just about price, it's whether they do a good job and you feel you can trust them. First time I used them, Dave impressed me by telling me my boiler was perfectly sound when I thought I'd need a new one, and gave me a couple of things to try over the phone to fix my problem, which would have done him out of the job. I was a little bit dubious the other week when he put a costly treatment into the system to fix 2 radiators which weren't working, but he was right, after 2-3 weeks, the radiators have started getting hot again. So while I don't know enough about boilers to swear TVBC is a good company, so far I like them, and they're my central heating saviours of choice!
