As a child of a "church-hopper," I believe if We had lived in the area, my parents would have settled right here at Fayette Baptist Church. The community is warm and friendly. It's easy to get plugged in. People will get to know you for who you are, and if that scares you, well, that's the true body of christ. They get deep in relationship and follow a Titus 2 model. This is a family. God's word is preached every Sunday and during the week there are opportunities to become better friends with the members and grow together through scripture. 10/10 recommend if you're interested in doing life with some awesome people. I am a Life Action team member, and I have been to roughly 100 different churches in the USA. Never have I come across such a healthy and thriving environment. I have gotten to watch this church be planted and blossom--and I can say with boldness the Lord is working here! Pastor Drew Murphy preaches faithfully from God's Word! The college ministry, Common Ground, is growing and thriving under our new college pastor Bobby Braden, with teaching from the Bible and fellowship with other believers. I personally have watched the youth group grow both in numbers and spiritually the past 6 years! The children's ministry is full and growing!!! I love the staff, and they love the people of Fayette County! They give you opportunities to grow and learn, and also to serve as Jesus modeled in Scripture! The mission at Fayette Baptist is KNOW. GROW. GO. And I think they do an excellent job at equipping their people to do just that! I currently travel with LifeAction Ministries all across the USA going into different church's every week. This is a mid-sized church. Friendly people, accurate and interesting teaching and lots of activity. It is a growing church with a large number of well-behaved children. This church emphasizes prayer, evangelism, discipleship and fellowship. Worship is a mix of traditional and contemporary songs. read more

This is a church focused on "what can you do for us". *Warning* You will be forced to work for the church. They will ask you what you want to do or what you feel led to do, however, Your response means nothing. They end up placing you wherever they want. This church is run exactly like a business which makes one question it greatly. Preaching is good, but again, it all comes back around to "you are not giving us enough, So Give More! Give More! Love my church! I have been attending for 7 years now. This church is focused on God of course, discipleship (big time), missions/outreach locally and abroad, growing together, not just inside the (4) walls but also outside which is pretty fantastic, and many other great attributes seen in scripture. Our motto is Know, Grow, Go, and it shows in how the pastors lead! Pastor Drew along with the other pastoral staff stands firm on the word of God as it is written and they are bold in proclaiming Christs within the church and outside of the church. Love this church! We tried finding a church closer to us when we moved counties and nothing felt right, so we moved back in order to get more involved in the church. A previous reviewer stated that the church "wants more and more" from its members and that they disregard what you say as interests in serving in the church: that couldn't be farther from the truth. I have only volunteered where I have signed up to or have felt comfortable doing. The pastor and staff are very much about every member on mission and have many opportunities in the community, within the country, and internationally for everyone to become involved in if they feel led to do so.
