Luckily, I was able to on a work trip since it was a very short walk there from my hotel. On the outside, it looks very large with beautiful decorations and paintings all around the building. When you walk in, it's a bit underwhelming. It feels like a stale business office. The book selection is actually pretty decent although I was disappointed in their oil and gas book selection given that Midland/Odessa is THE oil town of America. I would say the highlights of this library is that they have 2 gaming stations with games for PlayStation, Wii, Switch, and Xbox, and they have plenty of computers. I would recommend this library for residents of Midland but people visiting will probably find it underwhelming with its offerings.

They close at 6 on Monday through Friday. They are closed on Sundays. Signs say they will close on Saturdays starting in September. I take my son to the library and that will be hard to do once school starts with these bad hours.

During the visit his son's mother stated she noticed blood on the towel behind him in his cell. As my cousin was communicating with his son 4-6 guards entered his cell. My cousin turned his tablet and showed his son's mother the guards stating "See how they come in here! I'm on here trying to talk to my son!" As the guards reached my cousin the video abruptly shut off. Family has been unable to establish communication since this incident.

Interested to see what other ones they will have! This is definitely a smaller library than other ones I have been to. We've mainly only been in the children's section and the DVDs. With 3 young kids, I rarely have time to read an adult book. I do like the modern look of the library. Cool chairs, awesome projections on the floors, etc. We typically come a few times a week!

When you do eventually reach a worker they inevitably are ill-prepared to handle your request. I always seem to find the worker that is "in-training". Makes me wonder what they do with all the employees they have trained over the last few years. Don't even get me started on the number of signs hanging around the office telling customers that cell phones are not welcome. Guess what ladies, if you want my insurance card you are getting it via my cell phone. Get over it... Setting the level of incompetence aside there is the issue of the working hours. The office is only open from 8-4. When exactly are those of us that work for a living supposed to come up to get our vehicle plates or amend vehicle titles? This tax-assessor has managed to destroy any semblance of customer service. It is my sincere hope that she is replaced soon and this office can be brought into the 21st century.
