They never return your call. merchandise was defective 3 times. they deliver 3 refrigerators to my place and I still end up with a damage refrigerator. They don't come to fix it. They don't respond to any phone calls. They have unprofessional people working for them. They salesman was rude and disrespectful. They Don't have knowledgeable technicians to do delivery and installation of the appliance. They broke the refrigerator door and few other pieces when they deliver and put together the fridge here. The second one they deliver is still broken and it's not working properly. I called them many times they ignore my calls. I would never work with them again. do not buy anything from this company. Beware of the refrigerator installers! This a mixed review because Anthony at Feder's was very helpful, but it was a frustrating experience. I was a walk in customer looking for a new fridge. I came in with the space dimensions and Anthony helped me find one that should have fit. A few tips for fridge shoppers: -if you are getting a bottom open freezer, and your fridge is by the wall, make sure you take into account the space needed for any floor moldings -if you are getting French doors and your fridge is by the wall, make sure leave space for the hinge when the door opens -and lesson learned ALWAYS be there for the installation, no matter how easy you think it is Unfortunately they had to deliver when I wasn't home and the installers decided to rip out my floor molding to get it to fit, damaging the wall paint and damaged the surrounding wood while squeezing it in. And also decided not to let me or Anthony know there was a problem. The fridge was clearly too big but instead of giving me a heads up and giving me some solutions, they ripped up my place to make it fit. That said, fortunately I had a contractor working in my place and after speaking with Anthony about the problem, Feder's helped me find a different fridge and covered the cost of new floor molding, installation and wall paint. It was a pretty big waste of my time and could have been avoided if the installers called to let me know there was a problem. So overall: Anthony - 5 stars Installers - 0 stars read more

Terrible company for renters. They don't consider them their clients. They don't contact you for anything and just show up at your door. I arranged for installation on the 15 showed up a day early. Complained about everything said that they couldn't do the job. Than they confirmed a reapportionment on Sat. A no show and lying to dispatch about calling me thrice told me all I need to know about this company. I couldn't even get dispatch to allow me to file a complaint. Horrible is their standard for renters. If your management company hires these people ask them to make sure they can get their money back if they fail and don't rely on them to do the right thing. My stove won't be delivered to the Management companies warehouse til the 21st so my Christmas dinner is ruined. Merry effed up Christmas from Fedor's to me. read more

Great Service! Hugo and Alex were scheduled to come Tuesday morning to install a new AC, and they arrived promptly at 9:15. They made sure they were careful, precise, and clean the entire time. Hugo was nice and made general conversation about what I was studying and etc, just to make things light and comfortable. (I live near UCLA). The unit is nice, modern, and an upgrade obviously! Also, they both made sure to plaster the interior and exterior of the unit after which was extremely nice because my building maintenance guy wasn't available! In general they left the AC unit AND my wall looking beautiful and new. They kept the apartment clean, and they did an awesome job! 10/10 recommend if you want a quick and thorough job done! read more

Do not use this negligent company. In my experience and opinion, they are incredibly unprofessional and negligent. Not only that, but outrageously incredibly RUDE, as you can see by other consumers who are saying the same thing. The below average IQ handyman that came this morning broke into our security building at 7:58 AM, and banged at my front door while I was sleeping! They weren't scheduled to arrive till after 10 AM. When I was forced to get out of bed in a rush in my painful condition after having 6 spine surgeries just to open the door this early in the morning, the below IQ handyman didn't even apologize, made a rucas in the hallway of my building and yelled. I had to call the police in fact! Stay away from a company that doesn't have any business acumen. How dare they treat customers this way and bring their garbage to my home! I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB also! read more

As a property manager, we were long-time customers. We recently purchased two ovens to be installed in two apartments. One oven is fine so far and the other was installed, however it was not thoroughly tested. If the technician had even opened the oven door, he would have known something was wrong because the interior back panel was dislodged. The tenant told us the Feder's technician placed the unit, plugged the gas in and checked the burners only. He did not open the oven. The tenants had to level the unit themselves. Later that evening, upon opening the oven door to cook, the tenant emailed a photo of a panel with white insulation. I called Feder's the next morning and emailed the photo to determine if the unit was usuable, repairable or needed to be replaced. Feder's set up an appointment to return and remove the defective machine and RE-install a new one. The technician missed their appointment time and came later than promised. This was disruptive to the tenants' schedule because they had to miss time at work (twice, and for a longer time than anticipated) in order to provide access. Being a long-standing customer, I called to ask about a concession for these issues, however was told that they don't give concessions. I received truly AWFUL customer service. After being on hold for 6 MINUTES to speak with the owner, someone picked up the phone and hung it up. I called back and Joe, an owner, yelled at me, calling me a liar and telling me to "take my business somewhere else". Joe said he takes NO responsibility for his stock, saying that he's not the manufacturer. So that means what he sells is not his problem? They offered NO concession for the LATE RE-installation and NO concession for a DEFECTIVE appliance. We will not be working with them ever again. read more

I moved into my apartment 6 months ago and after a couple of months noticed that the oven provided by Feder's was warping my pans because it is running so hot. My building managers are finally dealing with it and said a woman named Janice would call me over the weekend. When she didn't call, my building manager told me to reach out to her directly, and when I called her and in a frustrated state explained the situation, she hung up on me. This woman's appallingly unprofessional behavior, by someone who works in customer service, is the source of my one star review. I have reported this to management with the hope that her behavior gets addressed, and am reporting it here as a warning to others that may be subject to her rudeness in the future. Update after company response: let me be clear: there was no yelling or raising of my voice during this call. Just frustration at both the situation and your employee's lack of professionalism. If you want to defend poor customer service/unprofessionalism on your colleague's part, thus proving my point, then this 1-star review stands for your entire company. Good day. read more

I bought a gas over from Feder's . The installation was so horrific. The 2 men who did install broke my drawer that sits below over as didn't know hot to put on tracks, so they just broke wheels that were welded on tracks to keep drawer on track. Now when I open drawer it's scraping paint as not on track. I explained to Joe the manager about the broker property and he said it's a 50 year old house tough luck. Now the real dozer is gas line installed incorrectly consequently gas has been leaking and GAS CO HAS " RED TAGGED" Must be taken out. The install is so bad , nothing lined up parts dangling and a real disaster . CRIMINALS ESPECIALLY MANAGER JOE!!! My house could have blown up and now they want me to wait 5 days to pick up and RED tagged. Joe's response on horrible install is 'this isn't out 1 st rodeo' in my opinion they are criminals!!! read more

Extra delivery charge of $140?! I bought a new refrigerator from Rob at Feders. I was told the delivery and old fridge haul away were free. After waiting 8 days, on the morning that the delivery van showed up I was told it could not be delivered because the doorways of my house were too small. I knew this wasn't true as the dimensions of my old fridge and the new one were the same. I got out a tape measure to make sure it would fit. I told the deliverymen that the doors of the fridge could be removed like they were on the delivery of the old fridge. Their next excuse was that they didn't have the right dolly to go up the stairs? Really? Finally spoke to Rob, and then Adam, from Feders who said that the real issue was that it would cost an extra $140 to deliver because it had to go up stairs and around to the back of the house. I told them I thought this was a "bait and switch". I should have been told this up front. I told Rob their were stairs. He never asked any questions. When I talked with Adam he said it was my responsibility to talk about stairs. I told him I was not a salesman or deliveryman and it was Feder's responsibility to inquire about any details regarding the order. Adam went into a long spiel about how much work it was for his deliverymen and how hard it all was. I would think professional deliverymen were used to all kinds of delivery. Finally Adam said they could dump the fridge in front of the house but would not haul away the old fridge. Is this how a professional business is run?? When a salesman makes a mistake I thought the company should take responsibility and try to correct the issue. By the way, I'm still waiting for the manager to return my call. read more

I don't like to give negative reviews, but I am very frustrated. I bought a dishwasher from Feders three weeks ago. On the day after it was delivered, the insulation began to fall out of the machine. I called Janice from whom I had ordered the appliance and she said she would sent a work order to an appliance repair company, and I would hear from them. A week went by. I called again. I told Janice that now the gasket was falling out of the appliance and another part had fallen off as well. Janice said she would sent another work order. I asked what the name of the service company was so I could follow up. She told me the name and I called and they told me they had not received the work order. Janice said she would send it in again. Another week went by. I called feders manager Joe. I told him there was a problem with the repair facility continuing to claim that the work order was never sent in. I told him I believed Janice, especially as I had had dealings with Active Appliances, the repair company that was used when I had a home warranty, and that people had a lot of problems with them. Joe was very rude and kept yelling at me telling me I was calling Janice a liar. Finally I got him to calm down, and explained the situation, as he finally let me speak. He said he'd call Active appliances himself. I followed up and again Active told me that it had not received the order. I called Joe again, and suggested that we conference call active together, so that they could give me a service date at that time and the problem would be resolved quickly and easily. He told me he did not have any more time to devote to the issue (the MANAGER, really?) and told me to speak to Janice again. I spoke with Janice again and told her that I knew it wasn't her fault, but that her work orders were either being lost or ignored by Active. She told me all she could do was submit the order again. I told her that that had been done 3 times already, and that we should just conference call them and get a service date. She then told me I was " badgering" her. That really hurt my feelings, as I had called once a week with the same issue, and since I bought the appliance from her company, could we please just have a 3 way call to Active. She told me she didn't have the time to do it, but would call them again at that time. (I do not understand how having a 3 way call would take up any more time than Janice calling them herself) I asked about a back up plan, and she told me she didn't have time for "hypothetical" problems. I told her I didn't think this was hypothetical, as they had failed to "receive" the work order three times before when she had done the same thing. The whole time I was trying to be polite and handle the situatio in a win/win situation for both Feder and myself. I am so hurt and disappointed in how both Joe and Janice spoke to me and told me I was "baraging" them with my simple requests to try and get my warranty honored by their company and suggesting we try a 3 way call as nothing else was working. Although initially I primarily blamed active, at this point it is clear to me that Feders is not treating me nicely nor doing all they can to honor the warranty for the appliance I bought in good faith from them and had reported needing servicing three weeks ago. It's as if they're blaming me for the item needing to be serviced. Three weeks and no real follow up in a way that matters, like a 3 way call. Too busy to make a 3 way call? Really? Tomorrow I will look into filing a small claims case to have Feders pick up the dishwasher and return all monies I spent, including delivery and installation. I will also write a blog on the AAGLAS blog and website warning other property owners (this was for my home, but they advertise to apartment owners) to buy their appliances from a supplier who will treat them with dignity and their warranties with honor and a sincere effort to follow through on problems read more

Do not buy from Feder's. They installed a broken high-end appliance, and then refused to replace it right away. They conveniently informed me that they have no return policy. Instead, they insisted a warranty repair, through a third party vendor, was the only way to get the brand new appliance functioning properly. Their customer service was horrible and rude. Hugo tested the dishwasher upon instillation and when there was some back up in the dishwasher drain, he fixed that too. He even helped me move the stove out to do some much needed cleaning underneath, something I've been wanting to do for sometime but wasn't sure how.
