I sold a pair of boots on eBay for $500 they passed through this center and when they passed through the center they were "relabled" for no good reason and the wrong label was put on the wrong Box so my recipient in Illinois received a camera lens (my neighbor a few buildings away was sending to Georgia) instead of the boots. My husband asked the representative at the counter which service would get a package to the recipient by the end of the following day. He was sold an overnight package which failed to arrive on time. This store told me that once the package leaves their store they do not guarantee that the package arrives on time and that I had to contact 1-800-Go FedEx. The representative there told me the rate paid only guaranteed 5 to 7 business days and that I should not have been told it was an overnight rate. I asked the manager at the store why we weren't told that the package could take that long and the manager was totally unconcerned and said that was all he saw in his system at the time of the sale and it's busy now and if it gets delayed after it leaves his Fed Ex store it's not his concern. I would never use this store for another shipment. The manager was more worried about telling me I was wrong than taking any responsibility for the service he misleadingly sold us. UPS near Wegmans is much more reliable. read more

Every time I send a package out, it gets there when they say. It's a great service. The customer service representative always has my best Interest at stake. If I ask which service is best they'll let me know and what the cost is so I don't pay more than I need. Once in a while I have to pick up a package there and I have to say the experience has been pleasant. Nice people, good service so what more do you need. It's a lot easier to find than UPS. I had to pickup a package at UPS once and spent nearly an hour waiting in line. read more

I waiting for my package by the door when there was an alleged attempt to drop off. I was waiting and watching the location of the driver so I don't feel this was possible but fine. They told me I could pick up my package at 5:30, to which I asked if my roommate could pick it up. I was told by the representative and their website she was able to pick up my package as long as she showed ID and proof we have the same address... long story short they declined her because we don't have the same last name???? now I am without a phone til Monday when they "attempt" to deliver it again. I ordered sneakers from Addidas and the FEDEX said it was delivered. I was home and was certain it was not delivered. The FEDEX app is terrible. It is not user friendly. Calling is horrible. It is very difficult to get information or speak to someone. I have had several orders through Amazon with a wonderful experience. Once I went through the dreadful process on the phone spoke to a person and had a investigation started on my package it resulted in FEDEX saying it was delivered and there's nothing else they can do. I felt like FEDEX didn't care. I called Addidas explain the situation they saw that it arrive at Carteret NJ and put in a truck. Tracking stopped there. Addidas refunded my money and I ask for another order not using FEDEX. read more

Here's a real-life riddle: Package "A" ships from a warehouse 16 miles away on Monday; a half-hour drive only in rush hour. Package "B" ships from rural Texas, 1,650 miles away on a Tuesday; a 24+ hour drive. Both packages are of the same physical dimensions, weight and approximate value; both were scheduled to ship via "FedEx." Which one arrives first? Not only did package "B" arrive 3 hours earlier, but such variances are a common occurrence. Although each was advertised as being shipped by "FedEx" the laggard was intercepted by the United States Postal Service under their bone-headed "SmartPost" scheme. This diversion cost two full days of sitting at two different USPS facilities, and a full day of sitting in a delivery truck before being unceremoniously dumped on my front landing at 4:40pm on a Saturday. I'm somewhat grateful that this time I didn't have to "remind" our postal carrier to unload our package from his truck. Package "B" traveled a logical straight line, arriving without crushing or packaging dings, and with the simple courtesy of having our doorbell rung. Whether or not offered as "free shipping," nothing in business is free. Higher merchandise costs and/or larger qualifying orders cover such "free" services. Make no mistake, the consumer is paying for "free shipping," and the shipper is likely to be profiting. On the basis of cost alone, why would anybody even need FedEx? Cheaper shipping is the upside of having to deal with USPS on anything of importance. Opinions may vary but I've usually found FedEx to extend a level of quality and service which is far superior. That is what I believed I was paying for, and it wasn't delivered by "SmartPost." I would have preferred that the shipper of package "A" been transparent about their substandard shipping practices so that an alternate supplier might have been chosen. Reviewing the Yelp reviews which precede my own, I would strongly suspect that FedEx is being blamed for issues which rightfully trace to the USPS in many cases. They should be held accountable for their selection of a notoriously arbitrary, unaccountable and unreliable business partner. However, as consumers in a world of online commerce we need to be focusing our business on the suppliers who use "real" FedEx, rather than this "SmartPost" USPS scam to exploit the FedEx name. Two stars are awarded only because I've experienced few problems with "real" FedEx; "SmartPost" alone wouldn't merit a single star. read more

They are usually good but my experience today was so bad regarding a scheduled home delivery that I may never use them again for any business service. I had a message from them yesterday regarding a scheduled home delivery today that would require my signature. and the message directed me to their web site for delivery options. I opted to pay $5 for the privilege of having my delivery made tonight between 5-8PM. It was worth the $5 to not have to sit around all day waiting. Anyway, after no delivery yet, I checked online about 7:30 and I see nothing about it being out for delivery. I called their 800# and the rep told me it was now scheduled for evening delivery tomorrow night. No real explanation other than it was too late to make it tonight. I ranted and raved at the phone rep and then apologized for being so nasty but that to me he is FedEx and they screwed up badly. As I'm writing this, my phone rings and it's FedEx telling me he can't find my house and I say is this a joke? It turns out it really was Fedex and he was around the corner and has my delivery. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. read more

I recently ordered a gift from an online retailer for Christmas. It was shipped on time and estimated to be delivered by the date (Dec. 21) the vendor estimated at the time of ordering. As I checked the tracking report each day, everything appeared to be on schedule...until it arrived at this ship center. As FedEx has repeatedly tried to deflect blame in several email responses, it states that the shipping service the retailer used was to ultimately be completed by local postal delivery. That would be all fine and dandy -- if this FedEx ship center ever handed the package off. This ship center shipped the package to another FedEx ship center in East Brunswick, which in turn shipped it to another state! Instead of a December 21 delivery, they then changed the delivery date to December 26. In the end, the gift did arrive just in time, but I'm convinced that if not for my many querulous phone calls and emails that this would not have happened. Nonetheless, FedEx has attempted lay blame on the retailer and local postal services again and again in their responses rather than owning up to the fact that it made an error. I understand that mistakes occur, but when they do, a good business will apologize and make an effort to fix the mistake. FedEx has shown that it is/was not willing to do either and instead has a shown a callous disregard for its customers. Never again will I use FedEx for anything. I would rather pay more for merchandise elsewhere if a seller only uses FedEx. read more

Went in to drop off a package this afternoon and was in and out within about 30 seconds. Super speedy service and seemed very clean inside.

Last week I ordered something through Kohl's and received free standard shipping which arrives in 5 business days through FedEx. Yesterday my merchandise arrived at the local FedEx center where, get this, it will sit for three days. Apparently if FedEx is running early on their standard 5-day shipping they will hold your shipment so that it is delivered in exactly 5 days. Not in 4 days. Not in 3 days. Not in 2 days. In 5 days. Period. If you pay for a 5-day, that is what you get even if it arrives early the item sits in their warehouse for however many days equals "5 Business Days". The interesting things about this is that FedEx is the only major shipping company who does that. UPS and USPS will just deliver the parcel early if it arrives faster. UPS and USPS WILL NOT HOLD your parcel hostage until it's been the correct amount of days according to what they were paid. It is UNBELIEVABLE how completely uninterested FedEx is with customer service. BROWN really is BETTER. So is USPS with their more economical flat shipping rates. If I had a choice in the matter I would NEVER EVER have ANYTHING delivered to me by FedEx. read more

The tracking indicates the driver tried to deliver the package Monday morning at 9:09am. My wife & I were up & in our bathrobes at that time. No one tried to deliver a package. There was no note on the door to indicate someone had been there (besides the package was to be left at the front door if no one was home. It did not have to be signed for). It then was sent to a FedEx location for pickup. No one notified me of this fact. It sat at FedEx for 4 days. Did the driver even try to deliver the package? To what address? The sender said that their packages are never sent to a FedEx location for pickup. Their contract with FedEx is if a package cannot be delivered it is to be "returned to sender". I eventually had to go & pickup my package. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER. Similar story to the guy with wine below. Delivery attempt 1, they leave a note that they want my signature. Fine, I sign the note. Delivery attempt 2, it doesn't get left on the doorstep. I mistakenly think the call centre can help. The agent can barely speak English and repeats scripted lines without hearing or understanding that I am like other regular adults who work from 8-5 and cannot be home, which is why I signed the waiver. Some garbeldygook about the driver deemed the area unsafe to leave the package. Odd that Amazon, UPS and USPS don't have that problem. After 20 minutes of explaining myself several times I get told leave a delivery instruction online to deliver after 5. Great. Except the website for two days in a row says "service unavailable". Fantastic. Today is delivery attempt 3 at the whim of the driver with signed fedex waiver on my door. Likely it will not be delivered again. And then I will have to go to this ship centre to collect. How? With what car? Why did I order delivery? DO NOT EVER USE FEDEX. read more

Stayed at MIL's house to wait for her cat's ashes to be delivered. She wanted to take a day off cuz this cat meant so much to her, but with me being a SAHM, I said I'd stay and get the package. Well, my son went out to play and found the door tag on the side door. You have to go through a gate to get to the side door and the front door faces the street, so this makes no sense. Called customer service and they say the driver knocked, but we heard nothing. I told them I would not go and pick up the package so the driver is supposed to come back later on today. read more

I used Fedex to have wine delivered and it requires the signature of someone over 21. Delivery was attempted on February 25 at 12:02 PM. No one was at my house, since like most adults I was of course working at that time. I went on the Fedex website the evening of the 25th to request a delivery after 5:00 PM. I received several error messages and was unable to schedule the delivery. The tracking system indicates delivery was again attempted on February 26th at 12:36 PM. Once again no one was home- surprise surprise. I called customer service the evening of the 26th and was told that I can only "request" the delivery after 5:00 PM at this point, but cannot guarantee it. If you offer a service where someone over 21 must sign, obviously it is totally worthless to attempt to deliver the package while most working adults are not at home. This is a huge rip off, and I am assuming the purpose is to extort additional money out of recipients for "after 5:00" delivery. After the third attempt, it goes back to the seller and I will have to go through this process all over again. I will never use this garbage service ever again. The only reason I did so in this case is because it is the only carrier offered by the seller. read more

They worked diligently and together to find my very important package and treated me like a human being. I am very pleased with the outcome of there help, and will continue to use FedEx. 2.5 stars. It would have gotten a 3 which for me is average/good for me. Location is great from where I work and live so finding it is no problem. Plenty of parking, and depending on what time you go, it's really busy or extremely slow. Service is ok, slightly better than most post offices in the area that I have dealt with. Where it went down for me was employees and knowing correct policies and procedures. In my line of work, we send out alot of product containing dry ice. Several times I have had to redo / replace stickers after being told how to correctly do it. Extremely frustrating even after I tell them there staff tells me otherwise. The worst!!!!! Never doing business with them ever again. I was supposed to receive a package yesterday evening. When it hadn't been delivered, I tracked it. It stated that it was going to be returned to the shipper due to the address not being valid. I received no notifications at all. When I called, the address was correct ( I've never have issues with UPS or USPS everything always get to my house). Then they stated that it was already returned to shipper and that there is nothing else they can do. The representatives did not try to help me one bit. This was the worse experience I've ever had. (Note: This item was time sensitive, it wasn't just a tube of toothpaste. Which is why I am livid.) read more

If I could give negative stars I don't think that would measure the level of unsatisfaction and pure disgust I feel. I ordered two items over $400.00 in worth to be shipped via FedEx on Friday 11/29/19. My order was set for delivery on 12/2/19. With no updates, no emails, text no so much as notes being added to my shipment my items were delayed 3 days, I contacted FedEx 14 times trying to obtain any information at all I had taken off work two days because I was told by one employee that someone had to be at my home at the time of delivery. I was then told by another employee that I could go to there keasby location and pick up my items, only to drive 30 min from my home to be told that the location I was told to go to was a shipment center and does not handle customer contact and there was no one there to help me locate my items. On 12/419 I was told during a phone call that my items were out for delivery I awaited the FedEx driver only to see him pull up in front of my home stop for 5 seconds and drive away, I called FedEx and again was unable to locate my items they had no way to contact the driver and had no information. I call back now on 12/5/19 requesting a supervisor which I was denied the transfer to a supervisor, I requested a refund and was told that I had to not only obtain my items but send them back to the seller, I then stated I would like a phone call when the driver would be making the delivery since I could not take yet another day off work. At 6 pm when I arrived home I found both my items lying torn on the hallway floor to my apartment in which I live on a second floor my items were left blocking the door making it unable to open to enter or anyone in the complex able to exit which is not only dangerous but a fire hazard the front door was completely blocked. My items are both damaged and this has been by far the worse experience I have ever had I am outraged by the level of mistreatment and sheer disrespect by FedEx I will never ever do business with FedEx again. read more

Missed a delivery by a few minutes and called the service center and volunteered to meet the driver if he could not come back, rather than drive 12 miles to the center. I explained that I was going on vacation the next day, and would not be around for delivery. Chances are he was still in the neighborhood.They have no way to contact the driver according to them. I know there is a security component here, but that sounds like a crock to me. Go UPS! read more

I am really upset that this company could not deliver the package to Rutger's University. I had paid to receive the package in 4 days and it's been over a week without a package delivery. They continue to ship the package at times that the Busch Campus Postal office is not open. Who delivers a package at 4am to a campus or even a dorm? I was also misinformed on the location to pick up the package and given the wrong time. In addition to that this place was in a pretty unsightly location full of sketchy people(employees). The employees were very rude and the workers there did not seem to even know that the office did not deliver packages on Saturday. How could one work and not realize that their facility doesn't have customers on that day. I waited there as instructed for over 20 minutes and when I finally just called the corporate office they told me no one works on Saturday. I never heard of a FedEx that doesn't work on Saturday. I will not use FedEx ever again or at least not anytime soon because this was ridiculous. read more

Everytime a package is shipped by Fed-Ex out of Keasby, NJ, I have the same problem! Here's the latest: I ordered a keyboard from Walmart (in hindsight I should have picked it up at store). According to the tracking it was to be delivered on Weds, May 25, 2016, of course I was at work. No door tag, I only know they tried because of tracking. On May 26, 2016, I had just miss the delivery, but a store owner told me they came, but she was afraid to take package. Again no door tag. On Friday, May 27, 2016, I was home all day, I didn't even go to the mailbox for fear I miss him. However, when he was not there by 4 pm, I checked the tracking. He claims that no one was home at 2:15 pm. Liar!!! he never came. I got on the phone and they said they would deliver again on Tues, May 31,2016. Of course, I would be at work. i also called Walmart because they pay for their service and we did a three way call. Fed-Ex had every excuse you can imagine and said I should pick it up and I lost my mind and said no way. On tues, May 31, not home and again no door tag. They were suppose to deliver again on June 1.2016. I left note to leave at store on both the 31st and 1st. According to tracking, it was put on truck for delivery this morning. When I checked tracking this afternoon it now says I have to come pick it up. As I told them a few days ago, I was home on Friday and refuse to go and pick up a package they get paid to deliver. Also, I don't drive and don't know where Keasby is. It has also been my experience (from other Fed-Ex faculties) that when you go to pick it up, they have already sent it back. I personally think that the drivers from Keasby have a problem delivering to Newark, NJ. In any event, I hate Fed-Ex and will in the future ask vendors not to use them or cancel my orders. UPS and the USPS are much better for me. read more
