It is a large store - larger than it looks from the outside - with a separate room for wigs and bundles in the back. All the major brands are represented here including Mielle, Shea Moisture, Aunt Jackie's, Cantu and more. The staff here can be elusive but when you get someone they are friendly and extremely helpful. The junction is a parking nightmare! The hair has its own counter and you can't checkout your hair up front with your other items which is inconvenient and you're paying extra fees twice (tax + card fee). The customer service is ok but not great. All of the jewelry and nail supplies are locked so you have to hunt someone down even though there like 4-5 people always working there and they won't let you hold it and take it upfront as well. When this happened today, they forgot to bag my nails so I had to make another trip to the store when I realized that. i went to this criminal establishment to purchase human hair for braids and was given the wrong items that my stylist could not use because the hair was shorter than my own hair. when I went a store associate assistant me since I don't know about hair braiding and the hair types. I explained exactly what it was for a she saw my hair. My hair appointment with my stylist was the day before I left the country for vacation. My stylist was unable to use the products because my the hair was shorter than my own hair. I went on vacation and came back. i called the store to explain to them and asked if they could exchange for something I can use and the woman who picked up said you have 5 days to return or exchange after I explained I was away. The receipt says 7. I was outside of the 7 days and asked for the items to be exchanged since they were unsure and unopened and this woman just hung up the phone and then stopped and answering after I asked for a manger the second time I called. As someone who has watched my neighborhood change around me with gentrification pushing so many small owned businesses out of New York City all together. I am shocked that there are small business owners who do not understand that every business exchange should be handled in the most professional manner possible On purchasing a few beauty items $12 approximately from feel beauty supply I asked the cashier if I could kindly use her garbage for a glass bottle which I have been been caring for about a half an hour because I did not want to litter and she told me specifically "No" and so I inquired why she went on to tell me that she had to go to the bathroom and then she brought up the real issue which is evidently the glass bottle 12 ounce size was too large to be put into her garbage can I told her that I wouldn't want her to go out of her way for a paying customer someone who has patronize her business for at least the last 15 years and one who believes and community support. This hair store is conveniently located in the center of Flatbush-Junction. It has most of the hair products you can think of. The selection of hair is usually good, but they can be inconsistent. Sometimes I'll be looking for something for weeks before they restock, which can be frustrating when trying to repeat styles. The prices are decent for the most part, and the staff is pretty helpful and always seem focused in getting people in and out of the store. Their return policy is annoying though. I bought a blow dryer and by the time I got around to using it, it didn't even work, but was out of the return window. Otherwise they're a decent sized hair store with good options. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I've been shopping there for almost 7 years, I do not buy wigs or other products from anywhere else. This is the location near Prospect Park; since I can't find THAT specific location on Yelp (weird). One of my old wigs from THEM ripped right down the center of the lace this morning, mind you the wig was only about 2 months old. I go in later today, after being very upset about it to purchase a new one because my father was generous enough to do so. I go in, find the PERFECT wig (out of what little decent looking/priced wigs they DID have) only to get home and have the thing rip DOWN THE CENTER AGAIN. I was only trying to PUT IT ON. I go back- because it's a block and a half away from my house with my father and boyfriend in tow. I get to the front of the store and the manager looks at me and says "no returns or exchanges" after ringing me up for the wig and letting me cut the lace off in his store. The only female employee had an attitude the entire time, didn't help anyone and caught an attitude with her coworker-- who was busy staring at my butt with my boyfriend around. First off this place is huge!... I think that everytime I come in there and its full of tons of products I dare to dabble in but my pockets and bathroom cabinet space aren't that deep... lol so I try my best to browse slightly and keep it as close to an in and out situation as possible... I went in on a mission for hair dye and came out with that and some unplanned moisturizer. But its all good, dry hair isn't cute so "I HAD TO BUY IT!" ... If I owned a salon this would be my first stop the brands are endless and they even have a separate section for kids hair products... People work there but its never pegged me as a place where they're running to help you unless youre in the wigs and weave section of the store. But I do like to browse uninterrupted (the Brooklyn way) so it was no bother to me. I found my products, given the mass selection I ended up trying a new to me product made by Shea Moisture mainly becauseI trust the brand but there were so many hair care options there that brand loyalty is hard!... Just don't. If you're able to travel to the Feel Beauty on Flatlands and I believe 82nd street, just go there. All of the employees are black and all of them are helpful. Even the older Asian man who is occasionally there is at least pleasant. The Flatbush Ave. location is the worst. They're extremely rude and follow you around even in an area where you're clearly visible. I went from one section to the next and I said to the lady "no no don't linger just come along, you're already being obvious" and she stormed off and disappeared. Imagine. My friend was excited to introduce me to this establishment to shop for wigs. I was trying a few wigs when we were told we can only try on two wigs. We questioned this because it didn't make any sense. The sales person was not clear. What she meant is that we needed to buy a wig cap for every two wigs I tried on. The manager rudely approached us admonishing us like we were kids playing around. She was totally disrespectful and extremely rude toward us. I went into this location earlier today to make a small purchase but realized I couldn't due to the store having a $5 limit for debit cards, and the item I wanted came up to a little under $5. I wish I had read the reviews before I went there to buy hair. I've gone in there for little things like make up and nail supplies before and it wasn't a big deal. But this is the 1st time I decided to buy hair from them. I walked around the entire store for a good 45 minutes and no one offered me any help or advice. As I walked around, I tried to pull up reviews of different brands on my cell phone, but couldn't really get service, so I just did my best to find something that resembled what I bought from another shop. I finally found the hair I thought I might want to buy, and I went up to the cashier. I still wasn't 100% sure about it, so I asked her which would be better between the 2 types of hair. She suggested one that was on sale and I took her advice. I asked her what the return policy was on it because I wasn't 100% sure about the color. She said that I could return it within 5 days as long as it was unused and I had the receipt. Today, 2 days later, I changed my mind about it fully. It turned out that the color WAS wrong. I had also read several reviews online that the hair I had purchased was of poor quality. (Side note: I guess that's why it was on sale! I briefly blamed myself for not doing my due diligence beforehand. But that's WHY I asked the young lady for help: I didn't know what to choose and I assumed her job was to direct me to the best product!) I returned and picked out a bunch of other products that I was going to exchange the hair for (It does state on the receipt the return policy: Store credit only), as I decided not to trust their recommendations any further. When I got to the counter, the associate working today told me that I couldn't return it because it was a sale item. On 10/28/18 I went to this store to buy a comb attachment for my hair dryer. I actually Brought the hair dryer with me so that I can ask the staff which of their hair attachments will correctly fit my drier. The African-American staff told me that the $6.99 comb attachment I picked out from Feel Beauty Supply would indeed fit my type of hair drier. Needless to say, when I took it home to use it the base of the comb is too big and kept flying off when I used it. They KNOW what products they have that do not fit the customer's tool but SELL IT Anyway. They do not GIVE YOU BACK YOUR MONEY once the product is open. But, they know that anyway. I last went here three years ago, so this is a late review. I still live in the area but the reason I stopped going is because the store attendants are so disrespectful! I went in to look for some natural hair products, and I didn't find what I wanted so I left. When I was half way down the block and attendant chased after me, grabbed my arm and demanded that I return a stolen iPhone. Are you kidding me? You think I stole an iPhone from a beauty supply store? That doesn't even make sense! I told her many times that I did not take a phone, that I didn't even see a phone, and my sister also asked her to leave us alone. She caused a scene and I finally said I was going to call the police if she didn't leave. She left saying that there's a tracker on the phone and they will find and charge me when they find it. I've been going to this store since it has opened and have had stellar service until recently. I went into the wig section on a Sunday and saw two young girls I've never seen there before (I don't go that often to know if they were new to the store or just new to me). I walked around the three wig aisles like ten times and their eyes didn't even roll in my direction. I guess the conversation was too juicy to address me. Normally who ever works that station would be following behind me annoyingly even when I said that I'm just looking. How I missed that person that day as I wasn't just looking. My hair was a hot mess and needed immediate assistance. I eventually approached the two yapping store reps to ask for a hairpiece and the color I wanted it in. I was told they didn't have the color for the hair piece I wanted. As soon as the last word left her mouth she was walking off to return to her conversation! I had to call her back to where I was to ask for another hairpiece and in the color I wanted. I asked for five different hair pieces and none were available. She didn't even offer similar alternatives or try to ask if I wanted other colors. Just answered, walked off, answered, walked off. Needless to say I left without purchasing anything and went to another Feel Beauty Supply further down on Flatbush and purchased what I wanted. P.S. The store sign says they close at 8. Sometimes they close as early as 7:30 even when you state you know exactly what you're getting and you know exactly where it is. They don't care. They're just ready to go. read more

Good service! I just came here to buy a specific brand after trying three other stores to no avail, This place is brand spanking new and shiny!It is very clean, spacious and organized. They have everything from extensions to fashion accessories but it is all in a much better layout than your average beauty supply store. The store has great lighting which just adds to the shine. Anyway, I went on my hunt for my weave brand with fingers crossed. When I reached the back area where there are rows of hair, a young man greeted me and offered assistance. There seems to be a good amount of staff around to help. He found what I was looking for and he was even able to give me helpful suggestions on how to blend the colors. He brought my selection to the front for the cashier who was a young lady. She was very friendly and gave me their business card when I mentioned that the wrong number is posted on Yelp as I was trying to call them ahead of time to verify whether they had my item. All in all, my experience here was great! I left the shop with what I came to purchase leaving behind worries about having to search any further. I went to the store and bought a pair of hair dryer attachment combs. But when I got home I found out that they weren't the ones I needed. So I went back to the store to return them and was told that I couldn't because they were considered an electronic product. I explained to the manager that the attachments couldn't be considered electronic because first of all they weren't attached to any kind of electric cord and they were plastic attachment combs. Still he refused to exchange, refund or give a store credit. The only thing he said I could do was give something equivalent to the purchase price. I'm not going back to that store ever. The manager didn't even know what the store policy was that was written on my receipt. He had to ask one of his staff to explain it. Smh read more

Very disappointing place. Went there to purchase an item and ended up spending way more than I planned. When I got the item home I opened it and noticed that something had spilled in the box, and dried up. So I decided to take it back, these people don't care anything about customer service, clearly the product was damaged, they refused to exchange it . Their reason being, I opened the box.
