She was so great at answering all of my initial questions, and understood our needs as first-time homebuyers. A few months later we had a chance to visit Milwaukee and meet Carissa in person. She understood that we did not have a destination yet but that Milwaukee was still a top contender and still took the time to go over how the process works, what the market is like in the area, and what to expect for the lending process. Over the next two years we kept in touch, signing up for MLS alerts along the way. When we found out in early 2025 that Milwaukee was a sure thing, she was one of the first people we told and that we were heading her way! I couldn't believe she still wanted to give us the time of day after all that time; I know several others that didn't! Carissa has been like a close confidant the whole way. From helping us find short term housing to coming along on closing day, I could not ask for more. Our approval process took longer than expected, and she was so patient and understanding of the whole ordeal. She kept us informed of what to expect and next steps to prepare for. When it came time to actually house-hunt, Carissa was super flexible with her and our schedule for looking at homes. She's so organized, thoughtful, and professional, but best of all she's so charismatic! We had provided a spreadsheet to her of the homes we were interested in and she secured showings for our top three all for one day. Carissa understood time was of the essence for us due to several outside factors, and made it all go so seamlessly. We knew we did not want to look at houses for weeks on end and had already been looking online and driving around a lot so we knew what to look for. That and the incredible insight Carissa has about the area made the entire process of starting over in a new place that much easier. She and I looked at the houses together and there were times I forgot she wasn't moving in with us haha. Carissa truly helps her clients picture the ins and outs of daily living in the homes and neighborhoods they visit. After doing the showings with Carissa she was able to easily schedule a revisit the next day so my spouse could also see it. The choice was easy and she helped us submit an offer that day! We had no idea what to expect for the homebuying process or what the timeline looked like; we'd only heard horror stories from friends and family and truly had begun to expect and plan for the worst. Carissa's communication in writing everything up with her and the lender, and guiding us through the contingencies, what to ask for, and what to be prepared for, was impeccable. We seriously could not have done it without her expertise and her support. She made us feel so capable and prepared despite us having no experience with this world. Not once did she make us feel like we were dummies or inept; I truly have learned so much because of her and have even more respect for what real estate agents do! She has continued to be there for our crazy questions and has made the transition into homeowners go so smoothly. Carissa came through for us, all the way to our closing day. Someone needed to hold our hands and tell us we were adults enough for this! After we completed the closing documents I asked her when she was moving in. She's more than our real estate agent; she's family.

Most realty companies don't even offer this service! It's a key step in showcasing the best a home has to offer and helps potential buyers make a connection to the home's possibilities for them. We greatly appreciated Firefly Real Estate's transparency in regards to fees. Other prominent Wauwatosa realtors we consulted refused to divulge their fee structure up front which we found extremely off putting. On the other hand we receive promises from KA there that are never followed through or completed. In addition, we never receive follow through calls as to updates or status. We tried to communicate this information to their management however KA only called our Association rather than return our inquiry directly. We consider this poor customer service skills. We hired Stalle to sell our house...we had already moved out of town but they assured us they would treat our home "as if it were our own." Consequently, they damaged new floors, lied about their staging experience (they had none), put our expensive furniture in a storage warehouse without informing us, ruined fine artwork, simply lost our drapes (who does that?) & were unprofessionial & dismissive. What a train wreck! We ended our contract, but not soon enough. Obviously, should have shared this experience before you encountered them. Sorry friend.

We sat on the market for 6 months with Remax with little activity. Remax had our information wrong, used horrible cheap looking pictures, didn't vette out tire kickers, etc... The Realtor was lazy, and was just sitting back waiting to collect his pay-day. Don't listen to the 6% realtors they are full of CRAP. They don't do anything better in this era of internet savvy shoppers. All you are doing is WASTING YOUR MONEY and making some lazy person rich. We had a gorgeous fully updated home that SAT due to a lazy, greedy realtor who simply wanted to maximize his profit for doing NOTHING. After our listing expired with Remax we looked to friends to suggest a Realtor - John Gscheidmeier was the man. John came in as a Real Estate PROFESSIONAL. He takes his work seriously, and he worked fast to get both an accurate listing and awesome professional photos out. John had our home sold in one week for damn near asking price. We made tens of thousands over what we would have with Remax and FELT GOOD about what we paid for in commission. John did significantly more than our 6% guy who claimed to be the best of the best.
