Great chicken schnitzel, fries, Israeli salad, red cabbage salad and mushroom salad.

My daughter and I thought Feinberg's was great. It is a nice, cozy, slightly hip restaurant with a somewhat buzzy vibe. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. My daughter has some serious food allergies, and we felt that the restaurant handled them seriously and provided a safe dinner for my daughter to eat. Most of all, we thought the food was excellent (see photo of awesome chicken scnitzel). It is Israeli food that surpassed our expectations. We definitely recommend it.

Like the place the atmosphere (as long as there are not too loud groups) and the service. Food is ok and prices as well

What they are famous for is not so great…read more What they are not famous for is outstanding. * * * The Aera Bakery is the Mecca for Vegan Grilled Cheese Sandwich lovers in Berlin. They also do a Grilled Cheese-From-A-Cow Sandwich for traditionalists. There is a line to get into Aera. Virtually everybody is ordering grilled cheese sandwiches. They have bread, they have other sandwiches and wraps, they have desserts. The line is grilled cheese sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich and grilled cheese sandwich. Vegan vs Cow depends on the person involved. * * * Trust me you can skip the grilled cheese sandwich. I had the traditional version. My wife did vegan. You get a massive massive sandwich. It is grilled and buttery on both sides, with vegan butter or cow butter. There is a ton of cheese inside and all sorts of vegetables. Regardless of what version you get, The cheese is nearly tasteless . You get a great big plateful of stuff to fill you up. * * * I have never had a grilled cheese sandwich place ever serve me a grilled cheese sandwich that I would want to order again. The world has hundreds of different kinds of cheeses. The number of cheese flavors you can work with is unlimited. The number of ingredients you can add is unlimited. And the damm sandwiches come out boring as library paste every single time. You would think at a minimum they would make three or five or ten different flavors of grilled cheese sandwiches - based on different cheeses and add-ons. But that never happens. * * * So what makes this an interesting bakery? The cookies. Oh my god ..... I had a chocolate buckwheat cookie that was the happiest dessert moment I have had in Berlin. I have been eating well in Berlin - and have had some great desserts. But I have had a lot of end-of-meal sleepers. That chocolate buckwheat cookie was everything that I would want in a special treat. Note that said cookie is small. For us Americans who expect a bakery cookie to be the size of a dinner plate plus the cookie has to have at least 1500 calories and a half pound of sugar, And preferably half pound of sugar per bite, The Aera chocolate buckwheat cookie will seem dinky and unimpressive. Just put that cookie in your mouth and all of your concerns about size will melt away. I was happy for two hours after I had that chocolate buckwheat cookie. * * * And the nice thing is you don't have to finish your grilled cheese sandwich before you have your cookie. You are a grown-up now. Mom's not watching.

I had the Chai Latte with an espresso shot, which was very tasty. I also ordered the cinnamon roll; it had a dry sugar coating that made the texture a bit hard, but overall it was great. My girlfriend had the herbal tea, which she liked quite a lot.

Must haves are the Farmers ham with grated horseradish and pickles as an appetizer. The pumpkin soup was amazing with a hint of curry and the main course was the Wiener schnitzel was the star of the experience. The accompanying potato salad was incredibly delicious as well. Overall a great Austrian dining experience, I highly recommend eating here.

4.5 stars! Ottenthal was one of the restaurants I discovered while in Berlin. In particular, what…read morecaught my attention was the fact that it offered, by far, the best schnitzel in Berlin! So, given I was in Germany..and even though I never really dream of eating schnitzel days and nights, I had to stop by this place! I particularly liked that the restaurant offered pretty much very natural/no chemicals food. Everything was fresh and, shall I say, natural/organic...and they were committed to those types of ingredients. I also liked that despite a higher price point than most restaurants in Berlin, the staff were polite, friendly and relatable..and not a stucked up place at all! Now, when it came to the food, I loved all my dishes! The pumpkin soup was so fresh and Devine! The schnitzel..wow..shall I say, crisp and thin..and not oily at all! Eating it together with the side potato salad that was a lil sour and sweet made it a good combination without additional condiments for sure! Lastly, the Baumkuchen was wonderful! I had so much food that night that I ended up having to order Baumkuchen to go..and I was not disappointed at all! Good to try all the good things while in Berlin! Overall, I highly recommend Ottenthal! Sure, as the name suggested, Ottenthal is Austrian town..but hey..schnitzel can also be German! Go try it and you'd taste the differences between this vs other places! Just some minor half star off was due to price (it's slightly high compared to other options out there in Berlin for sure.but hey..tasted sehr gut!!), restrooms are down a set of stairs (pretty common for German restaurants..but I have no ideas how Germany deals with accessibility for disabled population!) and finally..the place is rather small..so make sure to make some reservations so you won't be disappointed if you showed up but couldn't get in!
