After payment I had to follow up with him several times, each time he forgot who I was and what I was calling about which made me feel very uneasy but of course I already paid him his upfront $4500.00 charge. He delayed my court date and advised me not to get my license back after the 3 months and to wait until court date... which he kept delaying. After the 3 month suspension was up as per his advice I went without a license for another 5 months. This turned out to only hurt me as it had nothing to do with the overall case. I had to sacrifice my job and sell my house because of my financial situation. I was just able to get by during the initial 3 months and could've taken another opportunity but he just told me to wait. Fast forward to the long awaited court date and a WEEK before my case I get a call from his minion saying that he was off on personal leave and that she did not know when he would be returning. My options were : wait until his return which was not known at the time or take some other guy who is a friend of his. Now isn't that great? I thought I was getting what I paid for which was RICHARD as my lawyer, all to find out a few days before it was some other chump... who almost had the judge give me a stiffer penalty for opening his mouth... the guy had no idea who I was or what I was there for... which again made me feel great Please everyone who is considering him, do your research and find someone else who you can trust... which is a hard thing to do with these people. He took full advantage of me in my vulnerable situation. I would've been better off representing myself and saving my money and my future. I would hope one that one day he will read this review and reflect but these people are of Satan and have no conscience whatsoever. Shame on you Richard Allman.

Because of this, my lender didn't want to close. The lawyer's office was not proactive in advising me of this issue until I called them to ask when I was getting my keys. They then asked me to provide them with my builders contact info. (Shouldn't they have already had this informaton?!) With only just an hour to close, they were not able to get the corrected binder letter, and then they had the audacity to tell me it was my lenders fault. I did all the closing paperwork and payment a few days before hand, so they had plenty of time to identify they had the wrong information from the builder and could have corrected it in time. After being upset that I didn't close on time, as it was a huge inconvenience to me, I was then told I should not have expected to get my keys on closing day, and that they had previously especially informed me of this. This was a complete outright lie. I was told not to expect my keys before 5pm on closing day. I have several properties and have had multiple closings, and never have I ever been delayed in getting keys especially when the closing should have been as cookie cutter as this with a new condo build.

While our lawyer was personable and attentive in person, we really got the impression that the day to day work was done by a law clerk who did not seem to know what she was doing. Our transaction was a fiasco from beginning to end. There were lengthy delays answering emails, long delays providing closing figures, incorrect and insufficient information provided to us on several occasions and unprofessional behaviour by admin staff. For instance, after calling several times and asking for information that was needed for closing, I called a third time and told the secretary that I was frustrated that no one had returned my call since it was time sensitive. One of the clerks finally responded to me by email and the subject line of the email was unbelievably "[My name] is "frustrated" (LOL)". Yes it actually included the LOL! How incredibly unprofessional. I spoke to our lawyer about this but I didn't feel that he had taken it seriously at all. Another time, they responded to me with confidential financial information and cc another person that I don't even know! The person had the same first name as my husband. When I pointed this out, there was no apology. It was obvious that neither our lawyer nor law clerk had properly read out mortgage document because they both misquoted information contained in it. Their error very nearly ended up costing us almost $2000 and we had to spend considerable time and effort to correct their error. Their handling of our transaction caused us considerable stress and aggravation at both our interim and final closing. We would absolutely NEVER consider using this firm again! Terrible experience!!

My lawyer sent the inquiry on Monday March 7, 2022 at 2:58 pm. The response from Amanda was today March 8 at 4:22 pm that arrangements are in process to courier the paperwork to your client. No date was provided as to when the signed documents would be sent. How does this show that you are operating in good faith. This is very unprofessional. There was no apology from Amanda for the delay. This type of behaviour has big impacts to me.
