We walked in and smelled such a delicious smell of fire roasting pizza, garlic, pasta sauce...? whatever it was, our appetite level was greatly increased! We read the sign to seat ourselves and found a tucked away booth away from the chill of the outdoors. Our server was sweet. My husband asked about the Cesar salad consistency , oily or creamy....she said creamy but it was oily. Anyway, tho it wasn't what he preferred, he said it was still good. Our server wasn't too attentive. I would have liked a second glass on wine when dinner arrived. I ordered the marinated chicken breast with added pesto and provolone cheese, very tender, juicy and it had a great pesto flavor! However, the Greek potatoes, as my side dish of choice, was disappointing. The potatoes were over cooked, over seasoned and over oiled. My other choice of a side was steamed broccoli and it was very fresh, hot and (beautifully green ) served with roasted whole garlic cloves. First time customer. Arrived with high expectations. Left a little disappointed. Appetizer: Cheesy bread was really good. Salad: Terrible! All 3 of us upgraded to the Cesar salad (an additional $3.49 or $3.99 each). None of us liked it. I didn't even finish mine. Main Dish: We ordered Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm, & a pasta broccoli dish. We upgraded with Alfredo on the eggplant & chicken dishes ($3-$4 each). Alfredo was ok ... didn't have a lot of taste to it. Pasta dish was dry. So, my daughter asked for some Alfredo to make it come alive. Pre-tip total came to $106! Definitely overpriced in my opinion. Same amazing atmosphere since I've been coming here as a "Larchmont Kid". Their deep booths are like their own dining rooms, perfect for family meals or a first date. Service has never a problem here. Always been a chef's kiss. We had a very friendly and attentive server named Jesse. So I am always down to give a local place another chance, (especially one that has been a local's favorite for years), but I m finally done with Fellini's. It's been several years since our last visit (which was just as bad), but they are still in business, so surely something has changed for the better right? Well not really. I hate to give a one star review, I really do. I always think maybe it's an off night, I give them another opportunity to shine, but in this case, Fellini's continues to disappoint. We stopped in early on a Friday night because we had an event to go to. The place was nearly empty and we were seated immediately. All good. It's still as beautiful inside as it has always been, though the booths are very worn and have gotten uncomfortable. I had the Spinach and Pasta, because apparently I am a glutton for punishment. The menu describes it as fresh spinach, sautéed in butter, olive oil and roasted garlic served over fettuccine. Where was that? What I got was watery pasta that hadn't been drained and tasteless spinach. Where was the butter olive oil and roasted garlic? I did see ONE sliver of garlic in the dish, but it was nowhere near roasted. It was raw. Just flavorless. My side salad with blue cheese dressing? I don't know that I would call it dressing really, as it was more a clump of blue cheese in something (see pic), nothing creamy about this. Luckily I am a big fan of blue cheese, so the taste was fine, but the consistency was off. Hubby had the Manicotti, which is kind of hard to mess up. I mean throw a ton of cheese on top and bake it. It was at least edible, though the sauce was on the sweet side. He also had a Ceasar, which was way overdressed. The kid and his girlfriend are big Angel hair fans, so he ordered the Angel hair with marinara and sausage. Again with the sweet sauce. But the sausage literally was tasteless (I tried it) and he didn't eat it. Girlfriend ordered Pasta Romano, which the menu describes as Angel hair pasta with a 2 cheese cream sauce "baked to perfection." Well no, not really. The server did warn when she ordered it, that it was more like a casserole, which was OK. What was NOT OK was how so very dry it was. How about throw some sauce or something in there before baking? I didn't take pics of the kids' food as I was too busy literally pouring the water out of my dish into a salad bowl (which it almost filled). I'm sorry, but goodbye Fellini's. You used to be amazing once upon a time and we used to frequent you. But I just can't anymore. I could have made every dish we had tonight at less than half the cost of our meal...and made it edible. 4 dinners - 2 barely touched, 2 half eaten. Great pastas and pizzas, our go to spot whenever we are in the mood for pasta. Reasonable prices, staff is friendly and fast!

So took my little to Fellinis for the first time and my first time in a decade. This place was a semi-regular hangout in my college years. Wasn't quite sure what to expect as this is one of the only places that has stuck around all those years. The service was great. The waiter came by regularly to check on us and kept our glasses full. We started with calamari which was delicious and the serving was huge. The pizza we shared was delicious. It had a thin crust with a nice cross between crisp and soft. Went here as a work gathering; the workers were happy to accomadate such a large size party. They made sure we all had seats and tables together. The restaraunt interior was very unique. Its theme was "home" on the back of the menu had the story of how the owner wanted to give customers a home feel with a home cooked meal to make them feel like they were just at home. It had house lamps, cool jazzy pictures hang up all around, nice dimmed down lights. I love Italian food! I ordered the Rigatoni Pasta which I was not disappointed with (I added my own paramasan cheese all over for an extra kick) It had a light creamy sauces over the noodles, thick slices of italian sausages, and zuchinii! Went for Mother's Day dinner, horrible. The food has no taste. I don't know if they changed cooks or recipes but not good. My family and I have been to this restaurant numerous times over the past three years. The service and quality of food has consistently been excellent. Their pasta dishes are authentic and always well prepared. I particularly enjoy their Putanesca, which is just like I had in Italy. My wife loves their BLT pizza, and our grandkids love what's offered in the kids menu, as well as the cheese pizzas. All pizzas are prepared California style with thin crusts that are perfectly baked. Fellini's is the perfect restaurant for single, couple, or family outings. The pizza was really good! We got their pepperoni and a specialty cheeseburger pizza that they did for Burger Week. It's a European style so very thin and flimsy. It's not my favorite style but tasted good (so if that's your thing, I highly recommend it). The pizzas are also fairly small but one easily feeds two people. I went here with my family, we had to wait about 6 minutes for a waitress to come up with us. The waitress was nice and was trying her best. After we ordered our food we had to wait at LEAST 30 minutes for our food to come out. I got the shrimp Alfredo and the sauce tasted like it was from a jar and had no flavor. I've heard great things about places further out, but being in Norfolk, was keen to try something outside our usual Cogan's. Enter, Fellini's. We were having a few friends over for dinner and had some other appetizers, so thought a large pizza would suffice. We underestimated our hunger, or overestimated the pizza size. It was disappointingly small. The crust was good, light and crisp (I prefer thin crust) but the toppings and cheese itself was overly salty. Came here with a large group for work and I was a little (fashionably) late. Our waitress was good, but kept asking for my order every other minute after trying to settle in and look at the menu. Was going to order a sandwich and salad, but the sandwich I wanted didn't come in that pairing. Would be nice to have that noted on the menu already. Ended up ordering the manicotti. It was alright, not much though. Could've afforded a little more inside stuffing. Also tried the calamari, which I loved with the sauce that they had. The complimentary garlic bread was a no. Do not get the Bacon Cheese Burger Specialty Pizza for Ghent's Burger Week. They took the inspiration too literally. It tastes and smells like ketchup as the sauce, so you cannot taste any of the toppings. I tried it fresh, I tried it cold, I tried it reheated. Not edible, and $20 for a pizza the size of a disposable plate, is expensive even for a high end Italian Restaurant. Service was prompt, and everyone was very nice. Fellini's is apparently an institution and has been around forever -- I'm not in Norfolk all that often, so I stumbled upon it when looking for a deal that included pizza. The place itself is sort of old-school -- dark, sort of shady interior with a mafia boss kind of feel. On Tuesdays they do 1/2 off bottles of wine, so I thought I'd give them a shot when meeting a friend. We sat at the bar, and service was pretty prompt. We split a bottle of wine and a Thai Chicken Pizza. The pizza was just okay for me -- not sure I'd place it in the raves that seem to be popping up in other reviews. It was something out of the ordinary, but I've had much better thai pizzas elsewhere. Came on a Saturday night where a lot of other places in Norfolk seemed to have really impressive wait times...they were able to seat us in short order here at Fellini's! A Norfolk staple, this place has a variety of different pizzas either sold in 10 or 12 inch sizes, with other assorted entrees also available. Our group of six ordered several different items, from 10 inch pizzas (enough to feed one person), to 12 inch pizzas (could be split in two comfortably) to medium salads. I personally had the Caesar which was good, and could easily be split into two portions to share. The greek salad was also spectacular, which another person at our table ordered. Piled high with feta, olives, sun-dried tomatoes and more...yum!! The pizzas themselves were good! I got the Bourbon Street pizza, which was generously loaded with Anoudille sausage, cheeses, and chicken. Very filling! The flavors were good, not the best I have ever had, but definitely a good portion and tasty. We ended the meal with the strawberry and cheesecake cake. It was good, but tasted very very dense both in the cake and the cheesecake. Good food and a great ambiance for a Friday night. Went with my husband and a couple of friends and all of our food was good! I got angel hair pasta with chicken and it was a nice size portion. Got a few meals out of this. My husband got the Creole Romano Pasta, and our friends got the chicken parm and BBQ chicken pizza. We also all got chocolate cake for dessert which was amazing! The interior looks like it hasn't been updated since the 90's. I ordered scallops. They came came wrapped in bacon. The outside layer of bacon was crispy but innermost layer was raw. One had a hair in it. I also tried the fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce was akin to just a bland watery sauce. I can't recommend based just on that alone. When I let the waitress know if the hair she wanted proof and still seemed unsure even though it was a different hair color and length. Ignored the bacon issue. So all in all for the price and service I'd recommend somewhere else. I don't like leaving 1 star reviews but I can't say really anything positive about the experience. read more

If you a reading a review about "adult nudity" I think it's important to understand what the reviewer is referring to here. I've been to Fellini's more times than I can count in my 15 years here in Norfolk and never once have I heard anyone offended by the photographs. These are black and whites of a lady's back and rear wrapped in a towel or a man with the shadows playing at revealing more detail. These are not spread eagle photographs. More importantly these pictures have significance. The owner was really into photography and before his untimely passing he had them put up in the bathrooms. The current owner, a member of the family, has chose to keep the restaurant the way he liked it in an effort to honor him. That is to say, this 'adult nudity' is what most of the free world calls art. Also, get the calamari, it's delicious! read more

First time was a delight. Walking into the joint you are presented with various items on the wall to look at, as well as a sign with the writing "seat yourself". This normally puts a bad taste in my mouth because of past experiences of being forgotten after seating myself. Definitely earned her tip, if I had more to give I would have. Order: Calamari *I'm impartial to Calamari, so i don't order it much. But this dish was pretty decent, not too oily, not too dry and rubbery. Tomato basil soup *This soup was absolutely amazing. Such a whole flavor with the bits of basil to cut the richness of the tomato. Definitely pair this with the Cheese bread, if you want to turn the appetizer into a meal. Otherwise, the two slices of garlic bread are a perfect appetizer Bbq chicken pizza Garlic pizza *Gonna judge the pizza together due to the similarities. The dough was fantastic and the recipes were two delicious blends of flavor. The only change I would make is to lighten up the cheese towards the center of the pie, this would allow the dough in the center to cook and get just crispy enough to add structure to the crust, making the slices less floppy. I had to pause from eating my food to post this review! I ordered Calamari and Ziti Fellini Pasta for takeout. First, the calamari was perfectly seasoned and very tasty. The ziti did not disappoint and I could tell it was made from scratch. The pasta sauce with sun dried tomatoes paired with the smoked tomatoes made the dish very flavorful. Went there on a Thursday night.. a few people there about 6 at night. !st of all they had no AC, though they knew both units broken, and no warning or signs. bad sign! I visited Fellini's and ordered to go. I should have taken pictures of the food, but I was so hungry by the time I got home, there was nothing left to take pictures of. After I ordered my food, I had the option to choose if I wanted to curbside pick up or come in and pick up. I chose to come in and pick up. When I arrived, there is a small street parking section dedicated to curbside pick up which is nice and regular parking is on the side of the building. Mask are required upon entry and staff is wearing mask. Like most restaurants, their pick up is at the bar. They seem very organized with their pick up system and my food was ready promptly. They are following socially distancing protocols with spacing between individuals and I believe sanitizer was made available to customers right by the door. Now to the good stuff. I ordered two pasta dishes. They both were a little on the pricy side, but it was definitely worth it. Both pasta dishes came with a salad in a container that looked like a meal prep container and two slices of bread. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Warm, cozy, atmosphere with a nice intimate table for two. The familiar bar in the center, booths, and large tables for "family style" celebrations. Service was quick and friendly as always. She had the Creole Romano Pasta - angel hair pasta with embedded shrimp and Andouille sausage in a two-cheese cream sauce, baked. Then served in a big block like Lasanya. I had the Pasta Corleone - linguini pasta with Andouille sausage, green onions, garlic, black olives, and sun-dried tomatoes in a gorgeous cream sauce. Two toasted bread points also came with the entrées. We both used our bread to sop up the delightful sauces. Both dishes were very rich and satisfying. Italian comfort food at its best. The Andouille sausage in both dishes were literally medallion sized. Both dishes came with a very fresh side salad with your choice if dressing. I don't eat olives, and I love the pizza so why order something else, especially when we are only going through a few times a year. Everything is good, but the pizza is amazing.
