A beautiful friendly warm woman (that didn't look like a Chinese doctor at all) I told her I had had much success with Chinese therapy in the past but struggled to find a therapist in my area so I was excited to learn about her clinic Quiescence in Fitzroy where I live. At this time in my life I was in early 30s and I could barely lift my arm from long-term work abuse running my own business sewing to all hours! Annalise started to give me regular acupuncture plus prescribed me with herbs that over the years have solved all sorts of problems often having tried and spent a lot of money on Western remedies the Chinese remedies have worked fast where the Western has failed! Especially with skin conditions. I have had a terrible time with acne & digestion too before I met her mainly due to the stress I put upon myself running a small business. I also used to get asthma really badly and I'd get sick all the time. Since getting regular treatments I have found my skin is so clear, which has made me so happy mentally & I found the treatments have stimulated my metabolism so my sluggish and sometimes outright difficult tummy was much happier plus I found it so much easier to keep off weight. I am not skinny but just a healthy size 12. Generally I just feel much more balanced despite my insanely busy life treatments help me to get through & I manage stress so much better. When I do get sick I get through it so much quicker than I used to and I rarely ever get asthma anymore despite in my youth constantly being on a nebulizer. My life continues to be chaotic but I really attribute my wellness & get up & go to this regular therapy when combined with stretching & exercise Oh & a good diet I feel a million dollars for being a forty something. But unfortunately a busy schedule doesn't always allow for the whole package (that I should do) for optimun health but when I do find time to mix the treatments with the right exercise I am wonderwoman!. When you see Annalise or any of her practitioners at Quiescence it is like catching up with a friend. They are all lovely & they approach Chinese medicine in a contemporary manner so it's not so overwhelming as some of the other more traditional clinics I've been too where they prescribe you unachievable potions & herbs that take hours to prepare. Annaliese has exquisite taste so the rooms are all beautiful cozy & inviting and they play gorgeous. relaxing, contemporary music so the treatments extend to a wonderful experience which makes it not only good for you but a treat!
