Ken came out and gave us a bid last month for a galvanized chain link fence to replace an old falling down wooden fence. We got bids from several other companies and while most were in the same price range(except one big name company out of east county that was more than DOUBLE for non galvanized), we ultimately really liked Ken. He was personable, professional, and a local business owner like ourselves. He showed up on time and him and his worker got 150 feet of fence ripped down and the new fence installed in less then a day. They were clean, courteous and on budget. Couldn't ask for more! We had an 18+ year old wood fence that was falling over and it was infested with termites. After doing a lot of research we chose to go with vinyl as our replacement. So, I went onto Yelp, Angi, along with a few other sites (e.g., cslb.ca.gov) to find a licensed contractor. After narrowing it down to a select few that I felt could do the job, I started making calls. Ken was the only contractor to agree to come out within 48 hours to give me an estimate. I was so pleased with his professional & courteous approach that I shared his estimate with the neighbors living on both sides of us. Long story short, we all agreed to go with JPC Fence and we all selected the Sandstone color as our replacement vinyl fence. The work is now done and it looks amazing! I kinda felt bad for Ken and his crew because I am retired, which means I am home all day, so I was constantly coming outside asking questions. Again, Ken was very professional. He actually allowed me to be involved in many of the choices/decisions that came up as they were doing their work. I've hired many contractors over the years and I can honestly say he is one of the best when it comes to attitude, professionalism and quality of work. The guys at JPC Fence saved the day. I had a contract with another company that was emailed back to them on 4/8/21. I was told it would take about 7 weeks for them to do the work. When I call the other company yesterday on 5/6/21 to get an update on when they could be out the claimed that they never got the email or there was some mess up with the process on their end and unfortunately the best they could do was come out in 5-6 weeks. Decided to contract 200 ft of vinyl ranch rail with black coated chain link. I arranged 3 bids for my replacement fencing project. JPCs bid was very professional and competitive and the owner, Ken, carefully took measurements and listened to my somewhat complicated fence requirements. Ken knows his fencing well and his experience shows. On the morning that the project began, Ken and 'uncle' Bill showed up sharp at 7:30am ready to work. As the old rotten fencing came down several unexpected challenges could be seen. There was some awkward post placement, a tricky fence transition and we needed changes to the exact post placements. Ken adopted a great 'can do' attitude and came up with smart solutions to what could have been really tough problems. Each morning Ken and Bill showed up bang on time; explained their plan for the days work and proceed to get it done. I added two addition items to the work scope and Ken readily came up with a reasonable pricing for the extra work. Our fence was installed about 1.5 yrs ago by a different contractor (not JPC Fence). The new fence is vinyl which replaced a 30 year old wood fence around the side and back of the property. About 6 months after the last installed section the vinyl fence began to separate from existing concrete columns that lined the backyard. After multiple calls and e-mails to the initial contractor went unanswered I called Ken from JPC Fence Co. Ken came out to my home to look at the fence.
