***Posting this review for my husband*** My diesel box truck…read morestalled on the road a few blocks past the Canadian border, so IK Truck Repair came up in my search as the closest shop - and they had the option of making a service call to the site, so I was saving on having to get the truck towed (or so I thought at the time)... Long story short, the tech arrived, spent some 20 minutes pumping air out of the fuel lines. Then he said that a new filter was needed and left. When he came back, he still didn't have the filter. He spent a little bit longer trying to get the truck started, maybe another 20 minutes, then gave up and asked me to pay for his services. At the time, I paid what he asked without thinking: I was distressed, the truck still needed to be towed elsewhere and repaired... When the next day or so I emailed IK Truck Repair for an itemized invoice, what they sent me had $110 for the service call, and $240 (2 hrs. billed at $120) for pumping the air out of lines. $350 total for spending less than 40 minutes actually working on the truck and leaving me exactly where I was before the provided the service... I emailed them - twice! - asking to adjust the charge to 1 hr service call plus 1-hour labor (rounded up from the actual 40 minutes in their favor). Both emails were flat ignored... Good news: I had the truck repaired at Zender's Truck & Equipment in Bellingham for $240 - a considerable saving vs $350 for no results and an inflated labor charge provided by IK Truck Repair! Just wishing now I called Zender's right away and applied the wasted $350 towards the towing... Giving them 2 stars since they actually came out and attempted the repair. Just to be fair to them - the courtesy they didn't extend to me :(

My elderly parents 82 & 79 arranged to have their car out to Willowbrook Chrysler. The Driver showed up. Great! As the key making could not be done for their car anywhere in Surrey. My mom & I were on the Phone with BCAA. My dad booked under his basic membership. However, my Mom has the Plus membership. BCAA told my mom to go out and give her card to the driver which she did and driver wrote it down. Then told my parents they had to take payment of overtime from them. Pardon? Of course my parents put it on their credit card. Plus Bayview had my Dad's Basic Membership and My Mom's Plus membership. I contacted Bayview Towing to correct this situation. She said "If BCAA said that it's a lie" continued to say more of the same rhetoric. I don't appreciate receptionist/Dispatcher slamming people who have been very caring with my elderly parents. Unlike Bayview Driver who outright told my parents it was "Overtime " and then the receptionist/dispatcher who said "Because your dad only had a Basic Membership and that is the reason for the charge " I explained My Mom, myself and BCAA where on the phone and the BCAA Professional told my Mom to give her card to the driver as she has a plus membership and her tow of 14.5 km would be fully Covered " We stayed on the phone while she did that. Taking advantage of clearly Vulnerable People is exactly what happened as soon as I and the BCAA professional hung up. Bayview said only BCAA can change that so call them. I did call BCAA spoke with a Professional and he tried to get to change and as for a refund for my parents credit card. Bayview said their card already been charged to late. The driver charged their card that is not new information. Both the receptionist/dispatcher and driver took advantage of my parents and didn't give a damn. Bayview did call me back after I hung up and I was on the phone with BCAA. There is absolutely nothing they can say to right this wrong. Since they never tried in the first place. BCAA is well aware of what transpired and has it on their memberships to NEVER use Bayview again for my parents. Willowbrook Chrysler is well aware of what happened to my parents. Luckily the driver hadn't dropped off the car yet. So now Bayview is on the radar of other businesses as well. I can handle someone who clearly doesn't want the job they have receptionist/dispatcher. What I want stand for is taking advantage of Elderly Vulnerable people not my parents or someone else's. That is the reason for my review today. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Bayview towing to ANYONE. What was done to my parents was/is appalling and disgusting. Then Blame it on BCAA. It wasn't BCAA saying it was "Overtime" it was their Bayview Driver. That is exactly what my parents believed they were paying for. Had they known it was my dad's membership card they would not have gotten their credit card. My mom would have quickly referred to her membership number she had given the driver and he wrote down. This what being paid on commission means. Take advantage of anyone you can looks like.
