The sincerity, kindness, and genuineness of the staff, while remaining professional, is what I relish most from my visits to this pharmacy. Service is provided in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, which perfectly suits the Chinese demographic in the area of this pharmacy. The dispensing fee is $6.99, which is extremely cheap compared to other pharmacies--and as a Chinese, I would like to say, we love cheap!! Even with the current inflation, Edmund Pharmacy has not increased this fee. Overtime, as a regular at this pharmacy, the staff has gotten to know bits and pieces about me and my family, who are also regulars. I highly recommend if you live in this area--or even if you live a bit outside this area--to make this place your regular pharmacy. They are super fast with their service and they can give you the drugs within three to five minutes most of the time. The drug dispensing fee is $6.99, which is cheaper than most pharmacy locations out there. In addition, they are very good and fast with the types of insurance and registering you by insurance. Edmund is very kind and stayed a little after work when we came through their door at closing time to get some medication. He took the time to explain the drugs carefully to us and reminded us what we cannot take this drug with (from seeing what other drugs we have on file with him).

On Saturday, I needed to get a couple of items at a Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM). I decided to visit this one. There are two SDM stores that are a few blocks away from each other. Both are on Highway 7. This one is on the south side. The other one that I frequent more often is on the north side. The parking lot looks small. However, there are more spots towards the west side of the building. I had no problem parking next to a snowbank. I then walked into the store. This store is open till midnight. It's decent. The woman at the beauty boutique said hi. I reciprocated, which brought out a huge smile on her face. There was a lot of Easter merchandise. I saw everything from chocolate Lindt bunnies, to Squishmallows plushies. I grabbed a couple of six-pack cases of Diet Coke. It was cheaper here than any other store. I also got some vitamins. There was a sale, so I was pleased. I did some perusing. This store has a mini grocery store. I saw bagged avocados and cut-up fruit that was discounted. I should visit this store more often, as most SDMs in Markham don't have fresh produce. The checkout area is different. There's one counter for a human to help cash out your purchases. I didn't see any humans. Instead, there are self-checkout kiosks. I used one. It was straightforward. I scanned my PC Optimum card, my items, and then paid with a credit card. Done! This store has a post office. It's located in the back right corner of the store by the frozen foods. I enjoyed dropping by. If you do need a lemon and it's 11 pm, come here. It's the only SDM in which you can get a whole lemon. (114)

It's never too busy - although some reviewers stated that on Seniors Day it gets packed. That's no surprise given the area around the store is mostly senior residences. This store also has a small grocery section as well. So if you need a lipstick colour, want to get some new scented body lotion and some chips then you can come here. They make specialty compounds so they were able to make my prescription in a timely manner. The store itself is fair sized with a decent selection of over the counter items. They are open 7 days a week and on weekdays open until 9pm, which make it quite convenient to make up your prescriptions after work. The New Horizon Centre located at on the northwest corner of Warden Ave and Steeles Ave E is a very business place with shoppers hustling and bustling about; seems everybody is in a hurry including me. There's a Canada Post outlet inside this Shoppers Drug Mart but that's not why I'm here. It didn't take long to spot the cold medication aisle displayed on the overhead signs (in English & Chinese). As far as this huge SDM store, aisles are wide and product selection is excellent. There is a lottery station, ATM to get cash, and all the departments found at SDM stores including grocery & frozen food product selections. I used one of three self-checkout stations to scan & pay for my single Vicks NyQuil purchase that $4 off the regular price. Quick & easy! Be sure to scan your PC Optimum points card too.
