I had a terrible fall and needed help with an accident case. The attorney who assisted me was not…read moreonly great at what he does, but also a wonderful person. Dealing with him was easy and he took care of all the hard work. He even sent people to my house to take pictures. I loved working with him.

I hired Gibb 2017-18 and echo the same comments another reviewer stated that GIBB is:…read more'unresponsive, unmotivated, unaggressive. He has no paralegals or other staff so it's just him'. I go on to add my own experience with Gibb as follows: Gibb was always late for our scheduled meetings as he was never in his office (and drove from home the days he was to meet me). He showed up in flip-flop thongs with no socks, shorts and T-shirts. GIBB was very slow in putting his thoughts together throughout my case, and had trouble constructing and writing letters to other attorneys. He needed from another attorney (of which I didn't agree to pay for that time Gibb spent with him). Gibb kept needing his help and input and Gibb was charging me to consult with that attorney!). I told him I wouldn't agree to pay for that portion but he charges me anyhow. Gibb's office was a huge mess (which concerned me) and the case took a lot longer than it should of and Gibb led me to believe it would an easy case and a lot cheaper to hire him . GIBB overcharged me, admitted to it in a phone call and PROMISED to refund me a very small amount money. This was months ago. Although I believe he owes me more money, I agreed to his offer. Gibb promised to pay .. but never sent me the check. For approx 8 years, there was a gofundme online asking people to donate to help the GIBB BABIES of which I believe was very Tacky, especially to benefit an Attorney's family (his!). Gibb first told me he knew nothing about it, but then back tracked and said his neighbor put it up. The fund raised $1,600.00, I have all the screen shots. Did his donors get a special rate from Gibb to do their legal work? Gibb lectured me how the medical bills for his "babies" were $9,000,000.00 (9 Million Dollars) in an uppity tone (as I had a triple neck fusion, at the same time and never once did he comment on my condition or the financial bind I was in). And, I did NOT have a gofundme account for my situation, but there was one for his! Had I known that at the time, I would of never hired/trusted him! I was wrong to believe in him and should of gone elsewhere. Gibb offered me in a phone call, to refund a very small portion that he overbilled me but he never sent the check. Don't make the same mistake I did.... I should of reported Gibb when I had the chance. If I were you, I'd go elsewhere!

I was NEVER kept informed of hours being charged. They billed my credit card for $6031. They will not return my calls or emails. Will not do anything now that they have my money. This update to my original review of the law firm of J.D. Milliner is in response to J.D…read more Milliner's post of 9/2/2020. J.D. Milliner claims that my review of his law firm was largely based on information obtained from a rather unreliable source. I find this to be quite comical considering I based my review on my own personal interactions with the employees of his firm along with emails as well as invoices that were sent to me for payment of his firms work both when I was in fact a client of his firm as well as when his firm was retained to represent the client that his firm represented at the time this review was originally posted. These emails and invoices covered a time span of close to one year and came from the attorneys and employees of his own firm. I based my review of his law firm on what was supplied to me by his own employees as well as the personal interactions that occurred for close to one year with the employees and attorney's in his own office so I guess in essence J.D. Milliner is telling everyone who reads his reply to my original review of his law firm that his employees are the rather unreliable source that provided me with the information that I based my review on. J. D. Milliner states that the billing practices and procedures of his law firm are clearly set forth and that his firm provides detailed monthly statements each month to their clients. I also find this somewhat questionable considering in December of 2019 I personally disputed 2 invoices in a meeting with J. D. Milliner that were submitted to me as well as the client that was being represented by his firm due to unclear and questionable charges on the bills that were submitted by 2 of his attorney's that were working the client's case he refers to at that time. The result of the dispute was J.D. Milliner himself making the 1 particular bill in his own words "Go away" J.D. Milliner also states in his post that he must follow the instructions of his actual clients or withdraw from the representation of that client. This statement also comes into question due to the fact that the client he is referring to in this case submitted to him along with the attorney assigned to represent her as well as the paralegal employed by him a detailed letter that contained written and precise instructions of what the client wanted J.D. Milliner to do regarding their representation of her as their client. 6 days later the client in question received a letter from J.D. Milliner and assoc. informing her of their decision to withdraw from representing her as their client. In the letter that was sent to the client one of the reasons that was cited for withdrawal of representation was due to the bad review that I had posted here regarding his law firm. In summery it seems that the law firm of J.D. Milliner and associates retaliates against the clients they represent by withdrawing from representation of them when anyone associated with that client exercises their right to free speech and the right to review his law firm regardless if the review is good or bad. I stand by my original review of this business
