While on our slightly bigger cruise ship (we hate large ships!) somewhere traveling in the North Sea, our friends and we decided this would be a fun excursion so we booked easily online. Before I go any further on my review, a huge shout out to the customer service team as I accidentally booked the wrong date. Using great ship WIFI calling, I was able to straighten this out easily and quickly. The boat provides mostly covered accommodations and this was good as it was raining off and on all day. The lower deck consisted of 30 or so tables comfortably seating up to 6 people. The upper deck was mostly exposed to the elements but great for getting pictures. There was also a snack bar serving basic sandwiches, bakery items and drinks of all kinds. Also, the boat was an all electric boat with the company advertising a "sustainable fjord experience". Our tour began at noon and lasted approximately 3 1/2 hours and we got to see Pulpit Rock which rose approx.1800 feet above the fjord along with great waterfalls and landscapes in addition to views you never tire of. A delightful way to spend a rainy afternoon. The only negative was I believe our tour was slightly oversold. In as much as the upper deck wasn't usable due to the rain, there didn't seem to be enough seating for everyone.

The boat itself is very well-kept and large, so unless it is a very choppy day you shouldn't even really notice you are on the water. Nice facilities all around; comfortable chairs, tables, bathrooms, and a snack bar inside with benches and mostly standing-room outside on the decks. There is a periodic voiceover giving you the highlights of the area, otherwise pleasant music is playing softly so you can have whatever conversations without feeling like you are yelling. Scenery wise, this is a great trip. You get up close and personal with the fjord walls and a beautiful waterfall, making for stunning pictures and views. Highly recommend if you have 3.5 hours to spare while in Stavanger!

We took the car and ourselves onto the ship. This ferry goes from Hirtshals, Denmark to Stavanger, Norway to Bergen, Norway. Well, we took this ferry service from Tananger (Stavanger) to Bergen. It was about a 5 hour ride. Time went by fairly quickly. I spent some of the time exploring the ship. There are a couple of places to eat. One is cafeteria style. The second is a buffet. I purchased a couple of yummy pastries and drinks. Affordably priced in Danish Kroners. There are plenty of spots around the ship to sit, sleep, and lounge. After 10am, though, it gets more crowded because folks have to leave their cabins by that time. Anyways, it was a nice ride. Made for a welcoming change of pace from driving the entire way back to Bergen. Just remember to bring your passport!!

Spent the night in this quaint little town…read more We were told to get to the trail head early - it is about ~ 35 min drive from Stavanger downtime. We were one of the three cars when we go to the parking lot (around 6am). Even the cafe and the guide shop wasn't open yet. It took us ~1.5hrs to get to the rock. The path to the rock is beautiful. The rock formations, the lakes and tarns are amazing. There are some steep areas and some almost flat land walking. Now we are hikers - it can take up to two ours or more if you have't done hike in a while. But it is still worth it. After we got to the rock - we were the 2nd couple to arrive there. We kept climbing further. That took another 2ish hours, again it was worth it. It felt like you are on a different planet and the views are out of this world. It is definitely a must do. Easy to get to, clean trail, lots of amenities available at the start of the trail head. Parking lot is huge. Bathrooms are so clean and lots of it. You can't brush your teeth, wash your hair or take a shower in the public bathroom. Norway does an amazing job of trying to keep is clean -let's keep it this way. Interesting fact - Nepalian Sherpas helped rebuild or improve the trails in 2016, they did a phenomenal job. Highly recommend. P.s - if you are an American tourist ( iam an America) please refrain from loud music, throwing your cigarette butts and garbage along the trail. Norway does their best to keep the trail clean and it was sad to see my fellow Americans completely disrespect the nature and do the things we are unfortunately known for...

Our room was nice and clean! It was a great treat to have a comfy bed after traveling for the past 7 days and recharge before our Kjeragbolten hike! The breakfast was AMAZING! It was actually the best I had since I started traveling. They even a section of food to pack for hikers. Love Scandinavian breakfast. Parking was tough though. If parking on the street, make sure you read the signs. Otherwise, there's a parking garage about a block away from the hotel. They served breakfast that day starting at 6:00am so we snagged a quick bite from their impressive buffet menu; the breakfast selection was a definitely a pleasant surprise and we only wish we had more time to eat because everything looked so tasty! Rooms were very clean, comfortable, and we liked the showerhead. Even though we were only here for 1 night, we enjoyed our stay here and appreciated the great customer service and that Quality Suites accommodated a room for us. If you need a hotel near the airport or ferry terminal, I would recommend this hotel.

A friend had to change room as her first room smelled like a garbage dump since the ​hotel openly says they only clean every 4 days. The hotel was generally dirty and filthy and service was poor. The bar fridge was broken for a few days and when it was fixed later during the week we asked for a coke zero they had no cold ones and the very next day there was still no one in the fridge even if asked the night before so the personally are lazy and far from service minded and even if you complain about the cold breakfast they don't know how to fix it or what to do except one blond highly energetic girl working during breakfast who was the most service minded person at the hotel that also spoke clearly Norwegian and English.
