We happened upon this place because it was right off the highway on our trip and what a find it…read morewas! I tried the current special - Schweinhexen (pork knuckle) and all my fellow diners got the Kaiserschnitzel. Everything was really good and the portions were huge so we had enough to take home - seriously, the schnitzelmplatter comes with 2 schnitzels, fried potatoes, and a decent sized salad. The beer was even more remarkable! I know Germans love mixing beer with juice but this was the first time I ever had a apricot hefe! Also, I happened upon a 3 story stall parrot glass enclosure in the court yard. I believe more animals will be out in the summer for the children.
