Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. D-lish!!!!!! The vibe is righteous, and the wait staff on point. Your choice of a Deutsch or English menu and if you're indeed an English speaking person, most of the staff accommodate just fine. Interestingly enough, we sat next to a small Russian family and the English menu was better for them than the Deutsch menu. A bit pricey yes, but you do indeed get what you pay for! If you want some bomb ass authentic Austrian/German grub, give em' a go! You'll be glad you did.

They had tables both in doors and out doors we decided to eat outdoors since it was a beautiful day. My husband and I shared the Austrian Goulash and the Wiener Schnitzel on lunch menu. The lunch menu offers the same dishes that are on the dinner menu for a great price! The lunch portions are smaller but was definitely enough for myself and my husband. Both dishes were delicious!

The photos on the listing didn't do it justice. The bed was also a good size and comfortable - I slept well in a quiet environment. The included daily housekeeping service was attentive and did a good job. The only downside was the heating, which seemed to turn on and off at irregular intervals. Regardless of how I adjusted the manual dials, it didn't appear to be something guests could fully control.

It is on a side street, so you will need to know where you are walking if you do. But it is just the next street over as you pass Hotel Imlauer. The buildings in the area have beautiful architecture and lovely windows. The area around the hotel seems more residential and I had the contrary view to the other Yelp review about noise. But perhaps that was because my visit was in the spring and the weather was cold. While I liked the hotel's neighborhood, I found the hotel a bit lacking. The hotel is rated as 4 stars, but the amenities didn't seem to match this. There is no fridge or coffee and tea service in the rooms. And the front desk is only open limited hours. The rooms are also on the smaller side as well and curiously the rooms lock from the inside for some reason. In addition to the neighborhood being nice, I found that the hotel to be decently close to the Old Town part of Salzburg. But if you want to be closer to that part of Salzburg, I would find another hotel. This hotel is a good compromise if you want a place to stay that is decently close to the train station and Old Town. But check your expectations about the hotel. The accommodations here seem more like a 3 star hotel than one garnering 4 stars.

I'm a Salzburg local, used to the comparatively bad/rude service in Europe and generally not a wuss. This place, however, WTF?! We'd just dined for over $100 (for 2 people), were about to leave and asked for a - as in ONE - glass of water. We were told we had to pay this glass of water (tap water!!!). WTF?! Which is pretty much what we said - we just paid a pretty hefty amount of money for a full dinner + drinks, sooo...?!? You'd think at this point they'd just be like 'yeah alright, it is totally free tap water that we normally charge our guests for anyway, but what the heck'. But no. The boss even came out and started what almost escalated into a physical fight, based on the fact that 'here, you get nothing for free. In my restaurant, you pay for stuff'. WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK?!?! Long story short, we left before things got worse, never got that glass of water. I'm seriously ashamed about this as a local. Don't want any visitors to go through this. Don't go there. Nuff said.
