I called and was quoted the wrong price per gallon. I didnt do the math and paid for it then they brought the propane and then gave me more than I paid for and have the nerve to bill me for 77 bucks more even though i already paid for it. Had gas deliveries from these guys, but this time I had a more complicated request: rejet my new gas dryer to operate on propane instead of LP gas. Well, they were up to the task! The representative, Jeremy, arrived as promised and promptly installed the required parts. In very little time the dryer was up and running with the ignition operating according to spec, and with a perfectly adjusted blue flame. So, two comments: 1. Give Jeremy a raise. Ferrell has lost this customer. Over priced with no consideration for loyal customers. Inconsistent customer service. One price quoted another price charged. Placed on online order on Wednesday. They said they didn't get it till Monday and can't deliver till Friday of the next week. No apologies were given. I have been a loyal customer for years but have finally had enough. Can't get them to pick up the Propane Tank (250 gallons), which is sitting in front of our house. WE keep calling and calling, but all to no avail. And....We have to pay to get them to take it away. No right. read more

For several years my elderly parents have had an account with Ferrelgas for their propane. By chance I was visiting when they mentioned they needed to have their tank filled. I called for them and was surprised at how expensive the gas was. Then a called another vendor in the area and their cost per gallon for propane was less than half what Ferrellgas was charging! Also the rental on the tank was half the cost. For a 250 gallon tank, this amounts to over $500 per tank in extra cost to use Ferrellgas. It's reasonable to have come difference in price just like gas stations charge different amounts. However, if all the gas stations are charging $3 a gallon for regular gas, and one is charging $6 a gallon, something is up. Not sure if they were preying on my elderly parents all these years or they just have ridiculously high prices. I cancelled the service with Ferrellgas and to add insult to injury, Ferrellgas is charging $108 to pick up their rental tank. read more

Worst propane company. They overcharged me after I ordered 200 gallons. The driver poured 225 gallons without my consent. A month later I received a bill for an additional $126 after I had already paid $346. When I brought this to their attention, they agreed the driver made a mistake. They said they would investigate and contact me. I never heard back from them. I've tried to resolve this issue but to no avail. I have since switched propane companies. read more

I have had this company since I bought my house last year and didn't know that I was even renting the tank that was at my home until I recieved a $45 fee a year later. So here is my problem my take has been smelling of gas the entire time that I've lived in my home and every time I get a fill up you would think that the tank is supposed to be checked for leaks by their technicians, which doesn't happen. I've called and my wife has called to request for a new tank since there is a strong smell of gas and to have someone come out to check it yet no one has shown up twice after calling and complaining and the excuse we get today for no one coming out was because the guy was out of paint. So forget getting someone out to check on YOUR tank after it's been reported that there is a smell of gas. No let's wait a week to come out then not show, then be scheduled to come out the following week and not show and now be scheduled to come out in the morning. Let's see if they show. I have subscribed to Ferrellgas services for decades. In the past couple of years the customer service has dropped to an all time low. For instance, the deliveries seem to be totally random. In the past they came and "topped off" your tank so you never had to check your gauge. now they wait until your tank is almost empty and if they don't show up unannounced you have to call them and they say they have a 7 day "window" to deliver. I attempted to call for service at 20% but phone calls go to a recording. I went to the office in person only to be told, "we have a 7 day window for delivery and if you want it now it will cost you $200." I felt like calling their bluff but figured they're already fleecing me in high costs, rental, surcharges, hazmat, etc. I had left a msg of my need at 8 am that morning and got a call back at 4pm that day stating the same '7 day lameness'. My heat and stove are propane and I am a low utilizer of product. Ferrellgas' insensitivity of my predicament was very disappointing. I would recommend current patrons or those looking for new service check out services from the 'other competitor' in the area before committing to a company that is less than interested in customer satisfaction.
