Absolutely horrible, after filling out tank the guy came in to start up my inside tank. It exploded and fire almost Hit my 5 year old son in the face!!! I was in Shock! The guy said oh sometimes that happens from residual gas... okay... so then he says I'm not charging you the $40 whatever fee. So I let it go that my son was almost severely injured. I paid the bill IN FULL. Now I get a letter saying I owe $40 or it's going to collections?! Absolutely ridiculous. Unsafe, crooks. read more

Two incidents where I've been forced to come here and write a review (I dont even write reviews). On 11/17/22 I learned that I was running low on propane and called Ferrellgas in Lakeport to place an order. I was charged $358.75 for 100gal and was told that I was scheduled to get delivered on 12/01 but that I could possibly get delivery the day before or after Thanksgiving. I didnt get delivery on either day. Called on Monday the 28th to follow up and was told that I was scheduled to get propane on the 1st but that someone would come the next day. NO DELIVERY. I would go on to have propane delivered on 12/07 at 6pm. By then, I had run out of Propane and rented a hotel for a few days (I have school aged children that need heat and hot water) and later saw that they charged me a $50 leak check fee (the guy did undo the water heater fittings and reconnected) but I was expecting them sooner. Almost a month later (01/11/23) and I came home to NO PROPANE (100 gallons GONE). I historically have refilled every three months since I've used this place for the same amount. I called them and let them know that I must have a leak and that I was out of Propane. They informed me that they can place an order but that I would not get a deliver until the end of the month and that they dont do expedited deliveries anymore. I informed them that I had children in the home and that I needed propane before that and that I wanted for them to check for leak before I spent another $400 on propane. They also were confused about whatever they saw in my profile about orders. They told me they'd call me back. Apparently they called a wrong number to inform about coming out to check for leaks and when no answer, they closed the case. The number they called was not my phone number. I've asked multiple Ferrellgas representatives to allow me to speak with a Manager or to escalate my issue. But everyone is at lunch and I still dont have a resolution. Dropped off 2x 8.5 gallon propane tanks to be re-valved, the guy there in his early 20's said it'd only take a day or two. 2 weeks later I call in, they say it's taking longer than expected and I'll get a call back in a days time. 3rd week, they just found that they'd made the order for the new valves & that we'd get a call back in a day or two. 1 months time, present day. I call in & I'm still waiting for a call back/update. Get your guy's shit together. read more

This company filled the tank then took the regulator and locked the tank and left. They told my wife there was a leak then they said the regulator was stripped. Than they said it was a "misunderstanding" and they would be out tomorrow to hook it back up. They have my money and my regulator and I don't have any propane. If you have a choice, choose another company. read more

This company will leave you and your children and elderly FREEZING in the winter with ZERO gas for going on a WEEK ! They tell you to call AFTER hours for emergency fill and then they tell you nope, no time. Call the office during business hours and you're RUDELY told "YOURE on the schedule". That's it. Not when. I am new to dealing with propane, just bought a home in Glenhaven and did not realize there wasn't much propane in the tank. I also did not realize that it takes 10 days to get your propane tank filled, it is clear that they do this to charge you $200 in expedited fees. They do not care about their customers, they are in business to rip their customers off and they clearly do not care that their reviews are in the toilet. I feel bad about complaining after reading the reviews from other unfortunate victims of this unethical and poorly managed company. If they did not own the tank on my property I would drop them like a hot potato, I feel sick that I am giving them my hard earned money, they do not deserve to be in business. DO NOT!! I repeat, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN AVOID IT!!! The worst business practices I have had the misfortune of being stuck with. We rent in the Riviera. So basically, we have no other option but to use this TERRIBLE COMPANY! Since we have been living here, about a year, we have been required to use this miserable company for propane. They have overfilled our tank and didn't tell us that they did so, as a result we were going to be charged more on the next bill. It would've been fine if they had simply told us. They waited until I called for the next fill. Cowards! They have only ever made excuses for their mistakes. They seem to wait for problems to come to them instead of getting ahead of them and rectifying them. The most recent failure we're dealing with is the worst so far! Nearly two months ago, we ordered another delivery, paid in advance and were told that they'd take care of it. Naturally, we expected they did. Yesterday, our son said his bath was cold. My wife went to check the tank and discovered that we were out of propane. I told her that we need to call them, thinking that maybe we just used more than we anticipated. Nope! She was told today that never filled it!! What the actual f@*k?! More excuses. The woman on the phone claims that she called us to tell us that they didn't deliver it because of our dogs being in the back yard. This has NEVER been a problem before. She claimed that they left us a message. I don't have any voicemails. My wife doesn't have any voicemails. We are taking cold f@*king showers thanks to these retards! The worst customer service in history! Ferrellgas does not care about your needs, and they will not give you good service. If you have to go with Ferrellgas, sign up for monthly fill and online payment, because if you run out, the could take days and days to bring you more! AND they are not nice people, in fact, Ferrellgas has terrible customer service, employs people who do not care, and they have no interest in helping their customers. My experience has been guide satisfactory so far. Reasonable prompt service at a reasonable cost. The previous reviews seem to indicate a lack of planning ahead. I've seen the sign behind the counter in many businesses and it says " lack of planning on your part doesn't constitute an emergency on our part.". read more

Ferrellgas "guaranteed" me a delivery December 3-20th, 2021. No delivery. Tried to call the local office and got customer service in Louisana and later Colorado. No one could confirm I would get my delivery today. Why does a large Company like Ferrell get to do business in and take advantage of Lake County residents? Running on Electric heat/oven heat....Where's the Better Business Bureau and LC Chamber of Commerce. If this happens to me, I know there are others out there with the same miserable event. So sad. They paid extra to have them come out the next day but since it was after 4pm when she paid they made her wait another 7 days. Very pushy and rude customer service if you are not on monthly payment arrangements. I've been a customer for years and never not payed my account. They actually threatened to come lock my gas tank on my property WHILE I was making a payment, because I wasn't paying the whole balance off that day. Like I was delinquent! Like I was behind.
