My partner ordered the schnitzel and a Coke and to the pre warned serving size and amazement of our waitress I ordered a chocolate thick shake, chicken sandwich and wedges. The wedges were pricey but delicious with Lavender's signature seasoning that have a note of curry. The sandwich was fresh and loaded with fillings of chicken and avocado. Our order came in over $50. I'll leave that up to you to judge value for money but the service was prompt, the staff genuinely friendly and the venue relaxed and casual with a pathway behind for a stroll once you're done.

I asked the waitress if there was a wait and was told no, food is coming out regularly. We were given water and a very extensive menu. After a quick look over we agreed on a 'no repeat order' policy when we return as so many things sounded great. The type you could start at the top and work your way through. After both ordering a burger we decided to stopwatch the wait for meals. We received ours after 18mins. May I repeat, the place was packed! My American and partners wagyu burgers were large and delicious. My partner isn't a fan of sweet potato but I loved the mixture of sweet to normal chips ratio that came as a side with ranch sauce. After watching my partner very messily cut his in half I decided on eating mine as they should be eaten. Whole and two hands required! I could not fault it. Cheese never stands out to me on a burger but the American cheddar was terrific. We couldn't help notice the quick turn over and teamwork shown to clear tables ready for more customers. We watched at least 4 and each was cleared, cleaned and reset within about 30 seconds. The price came to $58 for the 2 meals and 2 drinks. I very rarely tip and often feel a little offended at the expectation when I see that jar or tray sitting so obviously at the register. I left a tip here. I'll leave it at that.

And the really irritating part is this place has NEVER gotten my orders right. We're not talking special orders, like adding or removing toppings. We're talking actually getting the burgers we ordered. The most recent order was for one chicken and one mushroom burger. We got two chicken burgers after waiting almost twenty minutes. The burgers themselves are fine, the quality varies. I've been greated with less than fresh salad at times.
