I have about 150 dollars in submitted jobs that haven't been paid, some for a long while. To be specific I have one still pending from 7/26/23 that's gone unpaid. I'm assuming they got paid for the work though. It's companies like this that made me stop trying at life. They make things miserable for people who really rely on what companies say. They made my 13 reasons why list though. Also every time I request a pay out I wait about a week and it still goes unpaid until I message customer service. It feels like they're hoping I forget or something. But If you use this platform 2-3 business days means 10 months. Also a few of my submissions prices changed from 2-4 dollars when I completed the work and now they read $0 but are still pending review like 9 months later so hopefully in 2-3 business days or 18 months in their time I can get my pay out of 25 dollars or $0 if you use their conversion table. But I know I didn't submit anything for $0 because I'm not wasting my time on something that won't pay. It's just another company that is taking advantage of people down on their luck then screwing them even more because they're Trash holes (it won't let me leave a review with a cuss word so fill that in appropriately). It's impossible to contact anyone there. So if you plan on using this app just expect them to make money from your submissions without you ever seeing a dime of what you earned but you do all the work. read more

This app is a great way to earn extra money but don't look at it as a full time gig. if you know your headed to the store, check the app to see if there are any audits. You're already going to that store, so you're not wasting gas. You're earning a few bucks, for a few minutes of your time. Win/win! The scavenger hunts/eye spy, well I agree that maybe they already know this product isn't at the store but the store still shows it in stock. Regardless, i don't bother with these. I stick with the audits, secret shops & try it's. The audits are fun. The Try it's are pretty cool, you buy something and review it and they reimburse you. Now in my area, there's maybe 2 people using the app. The other person always beats me to the post. So they get all the fun jobs. It would be nice if they assigned audits and try it's in a fair way. it gets rather frustrating. As for the company, I've only dealt with the customer Service and they are Amazing! They respond quickly with great resolution. I truly appreciate the customer service. I've mostly dealt with Gail. I wish all customer services had a "Gail" because she goes above and beyond. field agent is an ok company to do task for and there customer service is usually good but I'm just going to honest they don't pay enough for task. it's going to take you an hour or more driving to town & back & at least 20-45 minutes depending on the task & 3-5 dollars for an hour & gas isn't sufficient. task pay should be no lower than 8 dollars and task should range from 8-15 depending on the time, location and amount of work it will take. With the gig economy being so accessible today I don't see field agent staying in business. theres just to many ways to make reasonable money these days then to spend an hour driving to a store walking around, taking photos of displays and then going back to your car to upload and do a survey and then drive home or to another store if your lucky enough to have other task in your area. just to do the same thing all over again for 3-5 dollars isn't worth it because when all is said and done you worked for an hour and a half at the very least and you've made 6-10 dollars for two task or you worked for an hour on one task and earned 3-5 dollars plus you've used up your gas driving to town and now you have to drive home because there's no task left in your area. I used to use Field Agent pretty often back when the gig economy didn't exist But I never made much money but it was all I had and I lost more money than I was making putting gas in my car and then you take the little money you've made buying things to try to make money to test them out and then you have to wait to get reimbursed and paid for them and your only making about 2-5 to buy and try something and the pay usually was around three dollars most of the time, but sometimes it was less. I've seen them do 50 cents and that is just ridiculou. now I never do a task unless it's 10 dollars or more and that only happens when a task has been sitting there for a week and expired numerous times because no one has taken it. Then they will gradually up the pay on the task to get it done, but if you can afford to pay a fair wage when the task isn't being done, why don't you just offer to pay a fair wage to begin with? If it doesn't change, Field Agent is going to die because people just have too many options to work from home these days and get paid a decent wage. I actually loved the though, but they don't pay enough to even make you a little pocket change because again you're wasting that amount of money and gas going to the stores And you're losing money spending your day doing it because you could be using that time working for another gig app that's paying a decent wage. They send agents to dead jobs and don't give agents a chance to note the different situations. So they want us to just cancel it. Oh, and they determine products by UPC and experience has told me that companies have and will change UPCs or packaging could have 1 but the bottle or can has a different one. I even had one job that the UPC was on the companies system but NOT on the product. Kind of Frustrating. read more

They make you waste your time driving out to find scavenger hunt products not sold by the store. Then pay you nothing for your time and gas. They cheat you out of pay when you photograph the product but the store didn't have it in another display location. Twice I reserved a job then drove 10 miles to the store. I went in to do it and it said shop not available. I'd stay away from these crooks. read more

This company is the source of a smartphone app of the same name in which you can in theory pick up "jobs" that usually pay trivial amounts ($3-$6) to do tedious and onerous "audits" or mystery shops. For anyone considering downloading this app and having a go at making a bit of extra pocket money...in a word, don't. Sell your soul to the actual Devil, become a pole dancer / stripper, or work in the White House...even the slimiest job is more worthwhile. Field Agent, the company, takes literally FOREVER to pay out these little trivial amounts of money you can make from them...they supposedly review every completed survey / audit to make sure it's accurate and acceptable. That means they sit on it, do nothing, look for even the most miniscule, invisible false reason ("a photo you took is 1 degree off being perfectly level so we're sorry but we cannot pay you for faulty work") and then you're ripped off, they almost certainly still use your work, and scam you. Or, they will take 7, 10 or 14 days to approve it and finally release your $4 to you (oh, and many jobs require a purchase from you of a product or whatnot and you'll get reimbursed for later, maybe). So here you are, you're burning gas running hither and thither for them, you either get ripped off or find yourself loaning them money for weeks until they finally figure they have to pay up (some of these actually require a $50 purchase or more btw), and then you've netted about $1.10 for all this hassle. It's ridiculous. But wait, there's more. After all this, when you've done your best while being exploited and mistreated, they will, either through incompetence (i.e., don't know what they are talking about), or spite (if you complain or ask about why it is taking so long to get your money), or before you can reach so-called bonuses they dangle like fishing lures with hooks, they will cowardly, without a word, just block you from doing any further jobs. The app works in all other ways, but you can't access jobs and, as in my case, you won't know what either. I'm pretty sure mine was because I complained about the delays but I was also about to earn an actual bonus but either way they made up some story about me having other accounts with them (I don't) and accused me of committing fraud (Fraud? Even if I had other accounts, is it fraud to work for slave wages with two accounts and be twice the impoverished sucker you would be with one? What possible machiavellian scheme would I possibly be working doing this? It's nonsensical). And finally, to be called substandarded by these inbred chicken-pluckers to who probably think we're all Field "asians" or something equally hillbilly....it's revolting. The big companies that seem to use Field Agent need to drop them. Walmart, Target, Dollar General, Office Depot, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Burger King, BP and others shouldn't be giving their money to a company that rips off honest, upstanding folks just trying to make a little bit more cash, and who then sells that stolen, ill-gotten, scammed data as having been bought and paid from their "team of wonderful agents". I intend, just to try and get a little justice, to let those companies know about this shameful group of schmucks. Really, don't waste your time with 'Fooled" Agent. I have been with FA since perhaps 2016. I miss when they used to send out full size kitchen gadgets for reviews but still enjoy the smaller products I get reimbursed for. I've made a little over $2500 so I don't use this app consistently and have seen some in the online community who really clean up with the app. That being said, the jobs will really depend on many factors such as your area, how many other agents are nearby to grab them first, and the way you answer many of their "ticket jobs." Expect to make a few dollars on each job- I check it when I am already planning to head out, I wouldn't suggest wasting the gas to make a special trip otherwise. read more

I've been a field agent for a about a year. I've done customer service audits, product/display audits, recycling audits, product reviews where my reviews have been published in articles, and real estate audits. My only issues have been my very 1st direct deposit took longer than 2-3 days, 1 job was rejected because I didn't follow directions completely, and I've NEVER been able to find ANY of the scavenger hunt items with matching codes (I've found the requested item, but the code didn't match). The jobs pay anywhere from $1-20. (plus reimbursement for products purchased for jobs) Overall I'm very satisfied with this app and its DEFINITELY NOT a scam. The other negative reviews I've seen have not been my experience at all. I've made over $400 in about a year, over $100 of that being this year alone. In the past week I've done 5 jobs darling more than $50. It's not going to make you rich and you're not going to replace a full or even part time job, but it's definitely legit. read more

Overall, I give it four stars. Been working with FA for over 4 years, did over 500 jobs, only got 10 denied. Customer service, in the past has been very good to me. However, recently, I did a job for them which I had a feeling might get denied but I gave them my reasons why I continue the job. When they denied me I went back and forth with them for several emails showing them proof that I was at the right location but their information/listing isn't correct. They never even acknowledged this or said that they would try to correct the mistakes. Got very generic answers. Did not feel like I was listening to. Like I said, overall is 4 stars and this is only one event but seeing that it just recently happened, not smiling that much right now. read more

I just want to say that this company has paid me over $500+ doing their Field Agent jobs. So they don't really scam people, BUT, I'm fed up of getting my jobs denied because of technicality (or because the photos sent are not good enough) If this company didn't deny some of the jobs I did, I probably made over $1k+. Yes, sometimes I fail to do my part of the deal, and I'm OK with it, but sometimes they just don't wanna pay you and they'll find an excuse to not pay you. This company pay you to gather information on certain businesses, like taking photos of how many 'power bars' there is in the shelf. I did a job for them where I had to take a photo of shaving products at a local grocery store, finished it, and sent it in. The next day, It was denied because the picture I sent was cut off in the bottom (the products that were 'cut-off' wasn't even related to shaving products), which doesn't make sense because you can't frame the whole shelf because the isle was so narrow, you have to be in the next isle over if you want to capture everything. So what happens now? They keep the photos I took, and they get paid for it. Me, nope. They don't even give you a chance to fix it, they just take the information you send them, they get paid for it, and they leave you with $0. This usually happens when each jobs are like $10-$15 each. If you think about it, it may not sound as much, but if you do Field Agent jobs part time, you could be making about $100-$200 a day, just by taking pictures and sending them informations. This happens on a normal basis without any valid reason from them. I see class action lawsuit happening in the horizon. read more

I enjoy using and earning money using the Field Agent app on my phone but it does take some patience and a little planning sometimes to maximize your earnings/fuel cost ratio. One of my pet peeves about the app is that it sometimes populates your list of available local jobs with jobs that apparently they wont let you take or attempt to complete giving you an error message saying that the job is already taken or no longer available even though just seconds earlier I had hit the job refresh list and many jobs are supposedly available at multiple locations. They are attempting to improve earnings potential with a new beta program that is currently in testing phases which is helpful but it would be nice if more jobs were available around the same time frames so that it might make it financially worthwhile to go out and do more FA jobs on their own versus only planning to check the app when you might have to make shopping trips anyway and maybe get lucky to find a job near where you are planning to travel. read more

I've only done 3-4 jobs for Field Agent but I've been completely happy with my experience so far. I have yet to be denied for a job I've done. As long as you follow the instructions and take the required (clear) photo, your job should be approved. I asked for assistance once and received a response within 24 hours. I have recommended this app to many people (and still would). Several of these reviews are very OLD. I would recommend that anyone download the FREE app and try out a job. I've been doing gigs for Field Agent for about 6 months now, and despite all of the complaints here (which I can guarantee are a result of these folks not reading directions, trying to game the system, and/or not wanting to admit they messed up) I can say unequivocally that FA is one of the very, VERY few apps of its kind that's worth keeping around. The pay has gone down a little, and you're certainly not going to make a second job out of it or anywhere near that, but those promises were never made anywhere. In the last 6 months I've earned around $1500 with fewer than 5 rejections out of a little over 500 jobs. I started out super gung-ho about trying to max out my earnings, and now I'm at a point where I know which jobs are going to be worth it to go out of my way. Here are my tips for newcomers: - Don't expect to make a livable income. It's not going to happen, and if you ignore this advice you'll definitely become desperate and angry like many reviewers here. - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Seriously. Probably half of my rejections are because I was going too fast and didn't read the instructions. - Do NOT consider the timer to be a procrastination metric. If you're allotted 2 hours for a job, don't claim the job and then leave your place after 1.5 hour. No job I've ever done for them takes more than MAYBE 30 minutes (save for buy and trys), but just err on the side of caution. - Don't go out of your way for most jobs. Learn which jobs will stay unclaimed in your area. Unless the pay is excellent (consider your traveling costs, for real; they add up even if it's just across town), work the jobs into your normal routine. DO NOT alter your life to work around Field Agent jobs, or again, you'll become bitter pretty fast because it's not designed to work that way. - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Anyway, like I said--I've tried a lot of different gig-type apps, and VERY few are as consistently reliable as Field Agent. I think it might actually be the most reliable of the apps/vendors I work with, honestly. Reasons: - There are regular cycles and certain jobs post every week. Other jobs may not be on a regular schedule, but you can still absolutely expect new jobs several times a week. - 95% of the time the payment is fast. A lot of the jobs I take are paid within 1-2 days, and I've VERY rarely had a job take over a week to be processed. - Even with traditional banks, as long as I request payout before EOB for that day, I see it in my bank account the very next day. This is very rare! - Low cashout threshold, direct deposit, no fees. Very few apps can say this. - The Buy and Try jobs are awesome. I'm biased because I live alone, but not only do I get to try a new product (usually food), I get reimbursed AND paid to give my opinion, and the food usually lasts me more than one meal! - Their customer/agent service is very timely and responsive, and personalized! Any form emails you get from them are obviously and understandably canned, but if you need more specific help you always get a tailored and helpful response. DEFINITELY not true for most other apps. My ONLY reasons for not giving a perfect 5 stars are: - The availability of the higher-paying jobs has definitely declined recently. I know the CS audits probably need variety in the data, but it still sucks :( - It's almost like certain stores take their sweet time approving what you give them. I can audit recycling for one Walmart and have it be ready for cashout in less than 2 hours, while another Walmart's recycling audit will take a week or more. It'd be nice if, in certain cases, there was just a default approval/payout due to inactivity on the part of the client. read more

Disgusted by my recent experiences with Field Agent..maybe you can relate? I worked with this company since late October of 2017. Until recently their payments were fairly speedy using direct deposit and the job opportunities were pretty diverse and somewhat easy to complete. So if you've read this far you were probably wondering why the one-star review? Well, let me tell you...There have been several jobs that have been declined as of late and really no reason given just a try again soon and the job is reposted. So you have completed a job spent your time and your resources plus submitted information and get nothing for it except, thanks try again, declined. And if that's not frustrating enough when you're doing this for some pocket change then you have to deal with the haphazardly poor communication of their customer support team, whom one would imagine would want to help you. They don't read your notes or comments or base their responses on any information within your reports. So after a rash of approximately 10 rejected shops, a few hours of time and much resources burned it took a break for about 6 weeks to come back to my app being blocked from their side, there were no jobs available for weeks. What next? Email them to find out what's going on, because I have nothing else better to do with my most valuable resource... When I inquired with the delightful Molly from agent care she claimed I have a mock GPS app installed on my device and because I violated this term in their terms and conditions of working for field agent until I remove the lock app I cannot work with field agent, but they want to be flexible. Well...There is no mock GPS application on my device. I repeatedly explained this in several email correspondence spanning close to a week, with the only answer that resembles a resolution is please reinstall our app when you get a new device. There's nothing for me to disable because there is no mock GPS app on my device, I finally included a screenshot of this fact once I paid someone to show me where the development settings were and that there was no mock GPS apps in my development settings. Thank you for reading and if you think it's worth the potential hassle for a few bucks here and there, good luck to you as for me I'm done with people and companies that don't truly value the work, time and resources we put in to do our very best for their company. I read in the app reviews that once agents earned over $500 things started going downhill. I chalked it up to sour grapes but boy was I wrong. I'm actively blocked from reserving jobs. I may get 2 out of 40+. I have jobs that were successfully reserved removed from my que of jobs to do! I have also been unable to submit jobs after I complete them. I never had ANY problems until I hit that $500 mark. It's been a daily struggle ever since. read more

Becoming Very Flaky, I have been doing these jobs for a little under a year. I made some ok money with FA. However! They are denying more and more jobs. They are not living up to their word about sending your money to pay pal within 48 hours. The last 3 times that I have cashed out within the last 2 months. It is taking longer then a week to get my money transferred to my pay pal account. When I ask about this, All they say is we are having problems with pay pal and they are working hard to get my money to me. I even had them put the money back on my FA account as if I never cashed out. The same excuse every time gets old really fast. Maybe they should start sending checks or direct depositing our money in our bank account and bypass pay pal all together. They need to understand that we agents need our money just as well as they make us complete jobs to their specification and within 120 minutes. Stop treating us agents like second hand people. Not to sound super negative Fool me once shame on you Fool me twice shame on me There won't be a third time I've been rejected before because my pictures weren't of exactly what they wanted which I think was bull.... I've had a few petty jobs go through one which the manager came after me and asked what did I think I was doing and basically asked me to leave the store The last one was yesterday there was a job for Costco $12 review and answer some questions about shaving products. what the heck I need to go to Costco anyway Spent a half an hour in the store taking pics posting prices of the products , doing exactly what they asked. Sent it in and it said it was complete Upon checking the app when I got home. It said job expired I wrote to them to see what the problem was and was informed they never received any data. I have to agree with all 4 of the one stars reviews (even though 2 were not recommended, although I have no idea why they were not). This company sends you out on arduous tasks some even involve putting money out like buying $7.00 worth of toilet tissue, which they assure you you will be reimbursed for, except if they deny your job which they did to both my friend and I. We purchased the tissue at the same time, both submitted our jobs at the same time. Hers was denied because we were told to wait 14 days to submit and the time of purchase on her receipt was 10 am and she submitted her job at 8 am and they told her sorry it was 2 hours too early. Mine they denied because they said 14 days was just semantics, and the first day did not count as one of the 14 days and sorry they had to deny it too. So we were both out the job and the cost of the $7 toilet tissue. I have a iphone 5s and it takes crystal clear pictures their latest today in denying me a job, was to show me simply magnified blurs of my picture magnified to the nth degree until they blur and tell me they were not suitable. I took picture of a whole section of a display and they showed me a blurred closeup of one name on one box. This to me was scandalous and I felt compelled to seek out others who have experienced this with them The best thing to to with these people is not to take the denial. I have asked for them to send me a copy of the real pictures they are denying not a magnified blur. That said, it is sad, it is a nice way to make money and for the most part when you call them out on a denial they do reverse it. I don't want do deal with them anymore though, it is too upsetting and life is too short to deal with a company who want to take advantage of you, use your work and not pay you for it. read more

Yelp really should have a zero star option. This app is a total scam. Sure you can make a little side cash with it but it's hardly worth the ridiculousness you have to go through to get it. You have to answer a million personal questions on "surveys" to qualify for jobs that are usually worth less than ten bucks. Half the jobs you complete will be denied for some ambiguous reason or another although it's usually related to the required photos that are all too often impossible to get because narrow store aisles don't allow you to capture a full display as instructed. Their sense of urgency is one-sided against field agents ---you only have 2 hours to complete a job once it's claimed but they take their sweet a** time in reviewing your submission and paying you for it (if they don't arbitrarily deny it, of course). Oh, and don't fall for their misrepresentation on most assignments that you'll need to answer "up to 5 questions" because, more often than not, each "question" will have multiple parts such as the recent Corona/Modelo display audit in which each question included a dozen or so varieties of beer that you had to respond about PLUS count the units on an entire endcap display only to have them deny the $4 payout on your submission because a floor display you have no control over is blocking most of the cooler section they want you to photograph. Don't waste your time unless you're a masochist who likes going through a ridiculous amount of frustration for a few measly dollars. Pretty sure prostitutes get treated better by pimps than field agents do by this scammy company. And while I love the idea of the class action suit that so many of the reviewers here and elsewhere feel certain is inevitable, read your independent contractor agreements---namely the section on binding arbitration. Never gonna happen because we all signed away our rights to sue. read more

This is a rip-off. You go out and do the work, and answer a zillion personal questions about yourself including age, income, location...give them more info about all your shopping preferences, THEN spend time going to one of their so called jobs, taking pictures of store displays, answering tons of marketing questions. FINALLY, after you spend all that time and effort and send them all the info, they REFUSE TO PAY YOU on some tiny, tricky requirement they hide in there that has ABSOLUTELY no bearing on the legitimacy of the answers you gave or the work you performed. For instance, they send you to a specific Kroger to take pictures of a particular display, and ask a gazillion questions about that store and display, and once you've answered them all, and have sent them off to FIeld Agent, then you get an email back letting you know you will not be paid for all that work/info you just shared because you failed to jump through some tiny, tricky hoop they had buried in there somewhere. Meanwhile, they keep, use, and profit from your answers and you get the shaft. If you enjoy that kind of thing, this is the gig for you. And one MORE thing, they deserve zero stars but that wasn't an option. read more
