The veggie burrito was actually really good -- though next time I'll probably branch out because everything coming out of the kitchen looked tempting. My family loves this local gem in Altamonte Springs. It's quickly become our favorite place for traditional Mexican food. The colorful art, decor, & ambiance are amazing. It's very family-friendly, and I'm always comfortable bringing my very active toddler here. Service is quick and we've never experienced a wait, though we tend to go on weekend afternoons. They give you free chips & salsa as soon as you're seated. The margaritas are big & strong. I usually opt for the El Jefe and even the medium size is plenty for me. My husband gets the mango agua fresca. Just know that if you order size large of anything, it's basically the size of a pitcher, haha. For food, we always share the mixed molcajete which is a giant sizzling stone bowl full of chicken, steak, shrimp, pork, with grilled peppers, tomatoes, onions, and queso fresco. It's also served with rice, beans, guac, lettuce, and tortillas on the side. Ask for their homemade hot sauces if you like more spice (yes, they are HOT). It's plenty of food to share with lots of leftovers to take home. Well worth the $35 since we get multiple meals out of it. This place is crazy good! I don't think myself or the friends I've been here with have had a bad dish ever. The food is all soo good! I'm not a salsa person, but my friends keep going back to the salsa bar for all the different options. Tonight we came in not to long before closing, we felt bad, but we had just finished at our bowling league! They had no issues seating us and still giving us the best service! Come for the decor and stay for the yummy food! The aesthetic is truly unmatched. Every inch of the restaurant offers some unique imagery that made it feel immersive. It isn't just smoke and mirrors though. The service and food live up! We were greeted by friendly staff members and quickly setup with some complimentary chips and salsa. Fiesta Cancun has fun, kitschy vibes with colorful décor, huge portions of delicious Tex-Mex food, and margaritas the size of a small baby, both at an insanely cheaper price than what you'd expect for what you get. Skip Chuy's and take I-4 just 10 minutes further to this hidden gem just off the Altamonte Springs exit for a chill, comfortable fun night out that's great for an intimate date night or a large family outing.   We visited this past Feb. 14 to avoid the chaos and Hunger Games "run for the cornucopia" that is a Valentine's Day on a Saturday night in Orlando. This was our fourth visit to Fiesta Cancun after discovering it only last year, and it did not disappoint, even on this Super Bowl of restaurant days.   First, the drinks: the margaritas are HUGE. The menu sizes list small ($9-14) and medium ($17-19), but I guarantee you the drink you receive will be a minimum of size larger than whatever you expected. This time, we ordered an El Jefe and Top Shelf (both mediums) and we've previously ordered the Jalapeno Pepper and House Margarita, all delicious. The house marg alone has a "large" option for $23 (really a giant bowl), and the menu lists a pitcher for $29, but I've never ordered that because no man should look directly into the face of God.   The food is an equally good value for the price as the drinks. The table chips and salsa are always warm, fresh, and frequent, and on this visit, we both ordered the Tacos Mexicanos, and between us tried the carne asada, al pastor, grilled chicken, and chorizo tacos. All were amazing and I'd order them again (except the chorizo, but that's just a personal preference and in no way a reflection on the restaurant).   The vibe of this place is awesome and highly Instagrammable. It's a hidden gem in the literal sense: it's behind some hotels right off I-4 down a tiny side road off 436 that you wouldn't know was there, but when you arrive and see the exterior, you'll see right away the experience you're in for. Inside, the booths dividers are very high, making your table cozy and blocking you off from other patrons, which was perfect for this type of date night. Best of all, the artwork is everywhere; it covers the tables, the booths, the walls, and there's so much to look at every time we visit.   The entire experience is consistently relaxed and low-stress. Wait times are non-existent on most visits as they have large amounts of seating. Feb. 14 was our longest wait for a table at about 5 minutes. Our server was attentive and extremely kind (there's a family-owned vibe here), and there was never a delay in our food, drinks, or chip/salsa refills (or receiving our checks in time to make it to our movie afterwards).   Overall, Fiesta Cancun gives you oversized margaritas, generous and genuinely delicious Tex-Mex, and a colorful, cozy atmosphere at prices that feel almost unreal for what you get. It's a consistently relaxed hidden gem that beats the chains and makes for an easy, fun night out every time. read more

Tonight was my first visit to Fiesta Cancun. First impression upon walking in was all of the decorations in the dining room. I don't think there was a spot untouched with something. I have never seen so many waiters having such a good time working. This place was packed and loud and just filled with joy. Of course the food was great. It felt like a party. My husband and I discovered this Mexican spot when we moved to the area a year ago and it's one of our favorite restaurants in Altamonte Springs!! Our experience today was extra great so I wanted to be sure to write a review. It was a Friday night and very busy in there but they were well staffed and still so friendly. Our waiter's name was Will and he was excellent. Our drinks were always full and he continued to check on us even though it was pretty busy in there. The food was delicious as always. The parking in the front looks small, but there is more parking in the back of the building. The service was fantastic. Very attentive. The food was reasonably priced for lunch and very tasty. The ambiance is over the top! There isn't a single place on the walls, chairs or tables that don't represent Mexico. It was really fun to be in that atmosphere. I ordered a $9.99 meal of a burrito with beef, an enchilada with chicken, refried beans and rice (picture included). To drink, I had water, which was kept filled up! I did check out the restrooms, but they were easy to see and well marked at the front of the restaurant. I recommend this place for lunch. I assume it is the same for dinner! Always have great food from here with ToGo and decided to eat in this time. We got a few dishes: burrito California (so good!!), carnitas (flavorful and a good portion), Texas wrap (really flavorless but textures were fine together), queso fundido (tasty but small portion for more than 2 people), tacos de birria (really good and consommé was flavorful), and a steak quesadilla (good ole reliable). We also got a few margaritas: skinny, raspberry, and presidente. I unfortunately have to say none of these were very good. The server mentioned that they're batch made and also that their regular bartender wasn't in that night so maybe it was a bad combo. The skinny and el presidente just had an overwhelming sour mix flavor and the raspberry was so sweet I think I saw a few bees circling it (kidding). We had two presidentes and one tasted really different and watered down than the other so we mentioned it to the server and she didn't seem too concerned and kept telling us that they're batch made so they couldn't taste different. She eventually replaced it and it was better the second time. Overall this is a fun place to grab your classic Mexican faces and I'm sure is super fun on the weekends. My husband and I have been craving this place since the last time we went. Finally got to stop by again and the burrito was delicious as ever. Their big burrito smothered in sour cream and cheese stays in my dreams. I am very very disappointed with the nonalcoholic drinks however, the water has a very strong smell and after taste like most tap water and makes it hard to drink. I ordered an iced tea instead but it still had that strong smell and flavor, most likely made with or diluted with that same water. The booth we were sitting at also had something dripping from the ceiling, maybe from the AC. You can't miss Fiesta Cancun's bright orange exterior, so it "colored" my husband and I intrigued. Fiesta Cancun is a free standing Mexican restaurant located in Altamonte Springs, FL. When you walk in, your eyes are stimulated with colorful murals and decor and your nose smells all sorts of yummy culinary feasts. Our server was great (I'm always bad at remembering names - otherwise, I'd give her a shout out)! She had a warm smile, helped us choose our dishes (because the menu is huge!) and was attentive. My husband and I both agree that the complimentary salsa that accompanied the complimentary tortilla chips was the best we've tasted. It was more smooth than chunky but packed with flavors. For an appetizer, we chose the table side guacamole. It's a nice "show" and our guacamole maker (I don't know her official title) let us taste the guacamole throughout the process to ensure that it was made exactly to our liking. The final product was perfect! Regarding the entrees we chose, my husband ordered the steak Molcajete. They accidentally made him the combination one with steak, pork, shrimp and chicken but he didn't complain especially since they apologized and assured us that the cost would not be more. My husband was in meat heaven and enjoyed the grilled onions and peppers as well. For my entree, I opted for the (chicken) enchiladas suizas. These were unique (when compared to other restaurants that offer enchiladas suizas) because of the addition of pineapple on top. The pineapple was subtle yet brought in a fresh note to the dish. First time here. Arrived at 7:30 and waited 20 minutes for a seat. Worth the wait. Great food and service. Huge portions and inexpensive. $54 for three people. I had the mixed fajitas, which consisted of chicken, steak and shrimp. My daughter had the California beef burrito, which was huge and she could only eat 1/3 of it and her bf had the enchiladas Suiza, which had minimal cheese, so that was good. Usually they are loaded with cheese at other restaurants and just not appealing to me, but these look good and tasted good. Drinks were huge. I had the spicy margarita and could only drink 1/4 of it. This was the only time that I really did not like it. I've had at other establishments. Keep in mind that they load it with lots of jalapeños, including the seeds and tasted so much like jalapeños that I could not get the flavor of the tequila. It was too overpowering for my tastebuds. The only drawback I found to the place was that it was extremely loud. So loud that you cannot have a conversation with anyone. not due to music, but people talking. You have to yell to be heard.
