I was in a rehabilitation facility adjacent to the restaurant and I got tired of eating the food at the facility l. So I called this restaurant to order out using dash as a means of delivery and the food was not worth anything. The restaurant that was there before them was 1000% better and I wish they were still there but these new owners or at least the person that I spoke to on the phone was very nasty and mean. She even told me that maybe I was drunk well actually I was recovering from a stroke and I was in the rehabilitation center getting therapy and my voice had changed after my episode so maybe that's why she said that but still I think that was disrespectful and rud as I am a customer. This is my go to restaurant Middletown when I want online with the family and we always have a great time. Came here for dinner with my husband for Sunday funday! They had a lime margarita special for $3.99. We ordered two of those and munched on some warm chips and salsa. The salsa tasted fresh and had a kick :) we decided to get the combo fajitas and a chicken and beef enchiladas. The combo fajitas came with beef, chicken and shrimp. Yummm..so good! The shrimp especially was juicy and we'll seasoned. The beef and chicken enchiladas were smothered with cheesy goodness ! The chicken was def. Better then the beef. Overall it was an enjoyable meal. The service was on point with them refilling out water glasses constantly and keeping us happy with never ending chips and salsa. Def. Will come back to try other food items :) read more

Every time I go to this restaurant it is delicious. I ordered fajitas mixed with steak and chicken. The fixings on the side were outstanding. The refried means are to die for. My husband had carnitas. The portion size could have fed two. He was very happy with it! The guac is fresh! We decided to finally try eating here tonight after living across the street for almost 2 years. We did take out. The staff seemed very nice, however the food didn't impress. We paid $53 for food we tried and threw out. The steak fajitas lacked flavor, not to mention the meat and veggies were swimming in a pile of grease. The rice lacked flavor, the guacamole was a little too brown for my liking. My son couldn't get past the taste of his kids burrito, so we threw it out. my husband ordered a sampler and said everything lacked flavor and a lot of it had a weird taste to it so he threw it out. We ordered a Burrito Fiesta Tapatio nothing to write home about, priced as advertised, a vegetable quesadilla $11.50 (Menu says $10.50 for the Veg-1 we ordered) sour cream was $2 & guac was $4 (Menu says its included) making this a $17.50 quesadilla for what the menu advertised as $10.50. Also, we got a Chile Relleno asked for the green sauce instead of red $2 more to swap your sauce on a $3.50 item please (Menu says $3). Overall the food was mediocre but for what we ended up paying it was not even close to being worth it. read more

My wife and I stopped in to check out Fiesta Tapatia on their grand opening day on April, 19. We had just finished with our eye doctor appointment across the street at Simon Eyes and saw that they had opened that day. We arrived just in time for happy hour and had a couple of Margaritas and some chips and salsa at the bar. We had a very nice time chatting with our bartender, her name escapes me (sorry!). The drinks were perfect, the chips were hot and the salsa was really good, after I added a couple squirts of hot sauce! It's hard to really give a detailed rating based on our short time there and not ordering from the menu. We were fairly regular visitors at that location when it went by another name. Hint; if you've had more than one shot of the traditional Mexican liquor, then you'll know the old name with no problem. Our last few visits there had been less than stellar, as related by other Yelpers. We never had any problems with the food or drink, just the complete lack of attention by the wait staff. As I mentioned, this was opening day for the new owners. Everyone working there that day was super friendly and very attentive. So, with that said, I'm giving them a solid 4 stars based on our quick visit. We do plan to go back again soon. I'll do a follow-up after our first time back for a real meal. read more

I won't eat here again. Tortilla soup was too salty to eat. Not nearly enough sauce on enchiladas. Some of the enchiladas had flour tortillas, I don't remember any other mexican place ever making enchiladas with flour tortillas. An enchilada isn't a burrito, it needs a corn tortilla. Whatever the type of cheese was on the enchiladas and beans wasn't good. If you're going to put cheese on beans it should be queso fresco. Fluffy rice was odd, not expected Mexican restaurant style, but not awful. Chips and salsa were decent. I wish I'd have checked yelp before I ordered, but I only looked at doordash reviews, which gave it 4.7 stars whereas yelp shows 3.5. I went here with my parents and younger brother for his birthday. The overall feel of the restaurant was busy which I guess makes sense because it was a Friday at around 7-8 pm. My go to Mexican restaurant in Middletown. I have always had great service, been sat quickly, and had consistently good food. It can get a little louder inside, but is family friendly and the noise can cover my sometimes cranky toddler. The house salsa has a great flavor to it and is probably closer to a medium spice category. Food is served quickly and the kitchen staff has no problem with making changes for finicky eaters. They are too generous on sauces, so if you don't like your food drenched you will probably want to ask for light on the sauce or sauce on the side, but good flavor to the food. They also appear to be very accommodating to larger groups. read more

I really recommend this restaurant. I had carne asada that came with a cheese enchilada, rice, beans, sour cream, and guacamole. Their tacos and quesadillas are great too. We've been going to the sister location in bear for years, and checked this one out. We were happy to find out the food is just as good and the staff is just as friendly.
