The African American lady who was sitting in the office told her employee that they do not allow non-Fifth Third Bank customers to do cash advances from their credit card at this location. My credit card company was the ones who told me that ALL Fifth Third banks do cash advances from your credit card. And I do know that other banks allow you to do a cash advance even if you're not a customer. I walked away, even though I knew something was fishy. So, I called SEVERAL Fifth Third banks in the area and asked if they did "credit card" cash advances for non customers and guess what? ALL of them told me YES!!!! Then, I decided to call the Fifth Third Bank customer service number, and even the customer service representative told me that all Fifth Third Banks participate in credit card cash advances. The customer service representative was angry when I told her what happened. Then I decided to call the bank back, and the same African American representative who told me they do not allow non-Fifth Third Bank customers to complete credit card cash advances, answers the phone. I told her that I had called several of the Fifth Third Banks in the area, and ALL allow non customers to complete credit card cash advances. I told her that I didn't appreciate how she DISCRIMINATED against me and how her actions were DEPLORABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL! I asked the managers name, and she told me that he did not allow credit card cash advances at his bank. What??? She never thought I would leave out of the store and do my research. I went to another Fifth Third Bank, about a mile away, walked in, presented my ID and credit card, told the rep how much I wanted, and I was out in no time. No issues, no problem and no drama! However, because of what I experienced, I will NEVER become a Fifth Third Bank customer!!!
