I took a mat Pilates class here the other day with Evelyn and enjoyed every second of this class! The space is beyond beautiful they offer both reformer and mat classes. My class was the last one of the day at 7:30, which led in to the night and the vibes were so amazing. They also sell some of their own branded merch at the front desk and other items for sell like waters and energy drinks. No locker rooms, but they have a small vanity area to freshen up and a beautiful bathroom! I really enjoyed my first class here, Evelyn was very welcoming and helpful. First of all, mainly doing this review because It was the Prettiest Pilates studio I've ever been to. And yes good workout. I usually do up to level 1.5. The class I took was challenging but doable with modifications. But it wasn't super fast paced like some Pilates Studios. The instruct focused on form and challenging movements and holds. Sophia gives you such unique moves to make you utilize the reformer machine and the props so well! She ensures your form is correct and doesn't hesitate to show the set-up for the move you're about to do. Expect to work hard with her! This class was amazing and I was so happy with every part of the body we worked on today. We focused on glutes but got to strengthen our shoulders, core, legs, arms as well! Secondly, this studio looks so cute and meticulously detailed in decoration. I fell in love with this place and the space really takes you into another place from the outside world. The bathroom is also very beautiful too lol. Water station is filtered and lukewarm, so make sure you have ice in your water bottles. You can also grab disposable cups too! As a Franchise, Figue Madera could be one of the most successful pilates studios in the valley, hands down. Especially with their Northridge Location being in a PRIME location for the valley. In order for them to be as fruitful as they can be, they need to have great instructions by their side. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with Evelyn. During her classes, I don't feel guided or supported--I feel judged and unseen. Because of this, I find myself only booking classes on days she isn't teaching, and I don't think that's how anyone should feel about a fitness studio they enjoy. Her classes often feel unorganized and lacking intention, which makes it difficult to feel confident in the workout. I've also had conversations with other Figue Madera members (people I didn't know before) and many have expressed similar feelings. Several mentioned they continue taking her classes out of convenience rather than because they enjoy the experience. As a business, it should be prioritized to always have instructors that make you feel wanted there, and make sure it's an enjoyable experience. Especially considering how much you pay for a class. On the other hand, I have to give a huge shoutout to Ashley. Every class with her is an incredible experience. She is encouraging, attentive, and genuinely makes me feel seen. A health and fitness journey isn't always easy, but having an instructor like Ashley makes all the difference. She comes to every class with a well-planned workout, clearly knows what she's doing, prioritizes safety, and creates an atmosphere where everyone feels supported regardless of where they are in their fitness journey. She motivates you to become the best version of yourself while making the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Ashley is the kind of instructor who keeps people coming back. Quel cours amusant! I decided to return again for a second time after the kind owner, Sam, reached out to me and invited me to return. The class today was with the beautiful instructor, Leilani. Her class was so fun and challenging. I enjoyed every moment and there were definitely several times where I was literally shaking and dripping sweat. It felt so good to learn new Pilates moves that I had never tried before. It's so exciting to see the creative lessons that instructors come up with. TheThis second time around the new young lady behind the desk with the lovely long eyelashes was very kind to me and asked me how I felt about the class, I forgot her name, but she was very sweet and she made me feel very comfortable. don't be fooled at how beautiful and dainty this studio is... the workouts are tough! this is my favorite pilates studio in the valley. i loveeeee the way its decorated! it feels so feminine and peaceful, perfect for both an early morning or evening workout. ive booked with sophia and evelyn and they both provided great routines. i also enjoy the music they play. there are so many lagree studios around, that im so glad to find a true pilates studio. i honestly prefer the unique moves done on a regular reformer. cant wait for my next visit! read more

She maintained a steady pace, provided clear instructions, and offered modifications throughout for both beginners and more advanced clients. I've booked about 3 classes here and 1 in Topanga and I can't say enough how much I've enjoyed the classes. I've had Evelyn and Preet and both are amazing instructors. Preet's class definitely gave me a great workout and I appreciate the modifications that she provided for me since I'm new to Pilates and it can be quite intimidating trying something new but she made me feel very welcomed. Overall, welcoming environment and nice studio. Today, I booked a session today with Evelyn and we did lots of leg extension exercises laying on our side. It started with leg clam, then transitioned into several other exercises. Although majority of the exercises were great, when we are instructed to bring our leg to our hips level while keeping our legs straight repeatedly, it was hard on my knees and my knees hurt afterwards. I feel that these exercises should ensure that hips, glutes, and other muscles to work together to reduce possibility of injury. read more

Impression upon entrance: a beautiful high feminine energy studio. The atmosphere alone is spectacular! The design is so different than any other studios I have ever been to, and I've been all over the US. The atmosphere is clean, inviting, and warm! They Encourage selfies in their beautiful mirror! The class was challenging and fun. I went to an "August reset" class and it included a full body workout. Legs, arms, core. The instructor was clear and engaged. The only critique I have is to occasionally fix improper form. I didn't see any corrections but it was an event and a full class so that might be the case Overall, a great experience! I love how the owner does pop ups with other brands and how they give a gift (tote bag and socks) with a membership. 10/10 marketing. Now, for the constructive. Overall, I thought the sequencing was very boring. Time under tension emphasized holding the movement for really long times. The sequencing didn't seem to progress either, so it just never really felt like we were flowing. I'd find myself in class just really... bored. We also rarely ever started with footwork which I thought was how all practices should start. There's so much I love about this studio; for a while I thought maybe I just wasn't into Pilates anymore?
