I literally only tried on my skates and stood on my wood floor, they were way too tight so I sent them back. I have a torn hip flexor and can't lift my leg on its own atm, so definitely didn't skate on them. They won't refund me and want to charge 50% restock which is $100!! They sent pics of the wheels having dirt on them that they can just wipe off- no scuffs. A $5 to 50% back restocking if they don't refund. Why not only a $5 restock fee- that is understandable. Don't buy from them- even if you return them they won't refund. I plan on telling reddit, tiktok etc. read more

One star is the most I can give to this online merchant. My order (5 items) was stuffed into a very small package with tapes wrapping around the opening, which was hard for me to cut it open without damage the items inside. The plastic bags containing the items are old and kind of dirty, you can tell they've been in the storage for quite a while. The most ridiculous thing is the restocking fee! What I bought are just dresses and tights, if they really understand what a restocking fee is typically for, they'll be shamed to charge it for skating apparels! And the office in Canoga park will take your call personally. I have also been able to visit on site and the staff there are very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. We spent an additional $60 to have skates we ordered from the Figure Skating Store sent 2nd Day Air. On 12/19/22, we received an email that the skates were to be shipped on 12/20/22 - 3 days after we placed the order! Apparently, the company had no intention of shipping the product 2nd Day Air, despite the additional money we paid for that service. We requested that FigureSkatingStore.com refund the extra shipping cost or we would refuse the delivery. Their response? "We emailed you letting you know it was not going to get shipped that same day. If you refuse it you will not get refunded for shipping." So, no acknowledgment that this was their problem that they created due to poor business practices. A business cannot contract to sent a product 2nd Day Air, accept money for that service, and then send the product whenever they feel like it. That is fraud. read more

While the product selection and pricing for this store is okay, the customer service and the online gift certificate process is inefficient and prehistoric compared to today's technology. My mom bought a gift certificate for my daughter who lives in another state. We figured that, like other websites, buying a gift certificate should be very simple and she would either get something on the website or via email that she could print out and mail to her for Christmas. After placing the order for the gift certificate, she received an email with an order confirmation. Later that day, she got another email called an 'auto-receipt.' Neither of these contained a gift certificate or a link to one and there was nothing on the account with such. We submitted a question through the 'contact us' option on the website, asking if it would be mailed to her billing address (there was no option for a shipping address at time of order) or if there would be something emailed that she could print out. After 26 hours, all she got back was an email that just said, "It will be emailed to you." We replied back, asking if it was still going to be emailed, because she had received nothing with the gift certificate. Just the order confirmations and there were no gift certificate numbers included with those for my daughter to use for purchase. After another 21 hours and still no response, we sent a message through the 'chatbot' on the website. The responses were slow, unfeeling, missing capitalization and punctuation (very unprofessional) and clearly unapologetic that we were frustrated. She just kept telling me that 'it' was emailed to us. Not sure what 'it' meant. But, we kept telling her there was no gift certificate in the emails received. She told us she sent it again to the email I provided while we were talking. We received nothing and the email address I gave her was correct. We finally just asked if we could cancel the whole transaction and get a credit back to my mom's credit card, because it should not be this difficult. Still unapologetic for the difficulty, she just said yes she could cancel it. We asked if we would get a cancellation confirmation via email. She didn't answer. Asked again. NOTHING. Just the box below for over an hour. We got this box several times throughout the 'conversation' I used to buy stuff for my daughter all the time through figureskatingstore.com when she skated competitively. Now that she has returned to skating, we will definitely be shopping elsewhere. Not that they really care, apparently. read more

I even don't want to put 1 star either. I ordered figure skating boot for my kids and ordered Junior 1 size. The box delivered said it is junior size 1, so we started to use it. However, after used several times, we noticed that this boot was not Junior 1 but Junior 2-1/2. We noticed it from inside sign of the boot and we found it accidentally. The custome service of Figure Skating Store was very bad and they said it was "our" mistake because we didn't notify them the size was not correct when we received it. Who is doubting that we get a wrong size from what mentioned on the box and what we ordered ...? Does this happen so often through your website ? Everything was unprofessional and I will never buy anything from this store. Please be careful. They are sending wrong sizes and they say it is customer's responsibility to find it :( read more

I ordered a pair of skates and the listing described two sets of wheels that were included. When they arrived they only had one set of wheels in the box. The Figure Skating Store now says that they won't send the 2nd set of wheels. I don't want to deal with this and I shouldn't have to. I just want the items I bought. If you don't want to send me part of the package I purchased then refund me the cost of the wheels that you didn't include. This bait and switch lie isn't acceptable. I would give less than one star to this business I would. I recently made a purchase of what I thought, was a leather insert and gel achilleas heel pad from this company. When all I received was the gel pad, I contacted customer service who told me the leather insert was a "picture" and not the item for sale. How misleading! After 7 emails back and worth with their representative Ana Molina, who became more and more antagonistic with each response, I gave up. Order was bought online. Bought Blade Buddies Ice Skating Soakers- Moose but this was not the product that I wanted. They were out of the moose so they let us pick another animal. However, the animal wasn't the problem. We called them to ask about the product and they told us that it was thick enough to protect the blade. This is very thin, little to no coverage and looks like it will rip after a few times putting them on the blade. When we called to complain that the item we received was not the right product. We wanted a soaker that was thick on the inside, we didn't care what it looked like... Anyways, when we asked if we could get an exchanged or return. They told us that we can return or exchange however we would have to pay the returning shipping. Which I think isn't fair since we already paid $3.99 for shipping. We had asked the person on the other line and they even went to check the product by hand and told us that it had enough coverage. We called within the 30 days and said that we would also have to cover the shipping for the new exchange item which also... like what. We have already paid for shipping the first time, the order was incorrect and they want us to pay a second time, plus paying to get it shipped back. The item hasn't been used yet. This made the deal a lot better. I received the order within a couple of days. Very fast shipping. I was very happy with my purchasing experience. The only glitch I ran into was ordering from online. I couldn't get beyond the second step of the checkout process. I gave them a call and a customer service handled my order by phone. I was using a Safari... Maybe the checkout process doesn't work when using Safari??? Not sure, but the customer service rep that I spoke with was able to complete my order and was very helpful. I ordered skates offline around Christmas time and after taking them back to college to use I noticed that they were damaged. They were also a size too small so I was hoping to exchange them for a size bigger. When I requested a return label I was emailed about my reasoning for returning the skates which was that they were damaged and too small. The email asked for the size of the skates and pictures of the damages. After the images were reviewed I was notified and told that I would not be receiving a shipping label and that the website does not sell used skates, as if blaming me for all of the scuff marks and weird pink streaks on the skates. I am high disappointed in this company and don't recommend them to anyone. I am now stuck with damaged and too small skates. I was told in my email, today that I only had 72 from receiving the skates to send them back due to a manufacturing defect which also required images to return. Also, after I had this issue I looked at their reviews on Facebook where one women had mentioned that they looked at the Yelp reviews and the company commented back telling her that people who write reviews on Yelp make it their agenda to write negative things.
