Inside you'll find garden furniture galore, BBQs, water features, pet supplies, tools and lots more. At Christmas they have a big selection of tree decorations, as well as cut and living trees. What really helps to make this place special is the aquatic section - it's like a mini aquarium. Whenever we come here as a family we must go to the aquatic section to look at the beautiful tropical fish, the slimy snails and the koi carp, to name but a few. I've always found the staff helpful. If they didn't know the answer they would get someone who does. If you're looking for something for the garden, you may want to try here. I certainly never seem to leave empty handed.

It's probably the largest collection of nurseries and garden centres in the country. It feeds my dreams of what I would do if I owned an acre or two. There's so much on offer from many of the specialist centres - whether your need is for a small shrub for a window box or your whole garden re-designed. You would need more than a day to visit all that Crews Hill has to offer. As well as nurseries, there are aquatic centres selling tropical fish and swimming pool and spa specialists. As with many gardens centres, they don't just sell flowers there are tons of items for the home: candles, ornaments, bric a brac etc. It really is a browsers delight and beware of impulse buying. I never thought I'd have need of a carved wooden elephant or a collection of painted pine cones, but those have been two of my recent purchases here. One day, I'll find a place to put them.

The garden centres here are cheaper than those where I live and they have far more choice. they are also well worth visiting at Christmas, as the displays are wonderful and they have lots of decorations to choose from. If you come down the road from the Enfield end, the very last garden centre on your left has a great cafe. On Sundays, they do hot roast beef rolls with horseradish that are to die for.

There is a nice little cafe inside from which you can order very basic snacks, but they have outside seating and what could be better than to sit amongst a marvelously well stocked and manicured 'garden', listening to the subtle sounds of a man made waterfall in the sunshine with a reasonably priced latte? The staff are helpful but a little lax (which is not a bad thing i suppose, better than a highly strung retailer) as they actually locked me in one evening as they didn't even bother to do a final sweep of the place before locking up...numpties Anyway, there is ample parking and being just next to Ally Pally you can leave the garden centre, Ranunculus, Bizy Lizzies and Hydrangeas under arm and take a stroll around this beautiful park.

This store has lots of character and feels like a place where staff feel really passionate about their business. You'll find a huge selection of indoor and outdoor plants here. I received a lot of helpful tips from the staff regarding care for my orchids. They pointed the stuff I was doing wrong and gave me tips how to care properly for my plants. Apart from the plants, you'll find hundreds of related items on offer, such as plant feed, planting and decorative pots, water features, garden furniture, outdoor heating, lawnmowers, even garden jacuzzis. I also like browsing through a huge selection of home accessories, stuff like cushions, rugs, lamps, small pieces of furniture, kitchen accessories, glassware, candles, etc. At the front of the shop you'll find lovely gourmet food items, packaged in decorative tins and jars. You could find a lot of gifts ideas here. It is all upmarket stuff, slightly pricey, but worth the money, considering the quality. The staff will help you with all the heavy and bulky items to your car.

Visited with my partner last week. She had received a plant in a pot as a gift the day before, but…read morealready had one similar so was hoping to exchange it. We spoke to the manager who advised us that they would do anything without a receipt. The plant was perfect and the pot had their barcode on the bottom, but they refused an exchange. The 'computer says no attitude' was really poor...we have been customers for over 20 years, but will go to a business that values it's customers in future.

I ordered a mature Wedding Cake tree at a total cost of £795, the picture of it was beautiful. However, unknown to me, the tree I ordered was not a Wedding Cake Tree-but what I would call a Lollipop Tree- Stem 10 ft with a badly pruned top. HORRID I arranged to send the tree back to Hampshire Freight, paying the cost- but it wasn't my fault. Sent email to let them know where it was on 11th November. Told not to ring them, just use email. Guess what, they don't read their emails !! I am still waiting for my refund. Next port of call, the Manager. Gill P.

I love walking around this oasis, and always come away with something if only with a little house plant. Don't worry if you don't know your topiary from your perennials either, that's what they're there for! My Aunt was assisted by a very helpful young gentleman who listened to her and made some very wise suggestions of plants that she needed and a lot of advice on how to care for them too, and if you have bags of money, they'll landscape for you. You could create a Japanese garden or even club tropicana, as they have full-sized palm trees! Brilliant.

With a little bit of money, I could go wild in here and come back with a copper owl statue (40 pounds), a few angels, and a marble column. Seal the deal with olives and get me a silk robe..I'm movin' on up!
