An assistant came and got me, brought me into the room, then instructed me to remove my shirt and lay face down on the table. I did so, and a minute later, Dr. Rosenblatt arrived. She began to swab my upper back just below my neck, then inserted a needle three times. Having no idea what to expect, I assumed (bad move) she was numbing my spine prior to doing the lower back epidural. After the third injection, I looked up and asked why she was working on my upper back when the pain I was experiencing was in my lower back. She responded by telling me I was there for neck pain. Concerned, I sat up and told her that no, I was there for lower back and leg pain. She then asked me nonchalantly if my name was Charles McCluskey. Alarmed, I stood up and told her that was not who I was. I then asked her what she had injected into my neck, and she replied with a wave that at least I wouldn't have headaches any time soon because she gave me three doses of steroids. She then proceeded to tell me it was my fault because I signed the paperwork. This was laughable as every doctor I have been too has asked me what my name was and why I was there before doing any kind of procedure. Dr. Rosenblatt's immediate deflection of any kind of wrongdoing is reprehensible. Had she admitted that she had made a mistake, I could have forgiven her. However, she chose to place the blame on me for signing paperwork that her office staff placed in front of me. What would have happened if I had an allergic reaction to the steroids? To which I said, that doesn't make any sense, the therapist just told me that you as the company never looped her in that she had an appointment with me. The woman on the phone said nooo that's not correct, let's just make a new appointment, what day are you available. Immediately, I did not feel respected and this back and fourth was extremely unprofessional. I informed the woman that this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will be looking for services elsewhere. Then the woman said okay and hung up. The therapist then texted me that the company didn't put my appointment on the correct date on her schedule. Which makes no sense to me. To say $350 is exorbitant is an understand as we all know there are much more affordable options available. But I didn't want money to be a guiding factor so we moved forward. During the appointment I could tell by the questions being asked that Richard had not reviewed any of the pre-work papers we were asked to fill out. He actually held them in his hand and was reading them during the session. Totally unprepared. Rather than seek other options, my partner and I decided to book a 1 day Intensive package that included 1 full day and (6) 90-minute follow up sessions. And since we had already booked a 90 minute session, I know they charge $350 for each. I called on a Monday and was told Friday was available (4 days notice) so we booked the day. Shortly thereafter I received a phone call saying Richard wasn't actually available on Friday (he had planned to take the day off but his assistant didn't know this) so we had to move it out another week. So we had to be a bit flexible after their scheduling snafu. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel the 1 day package after paying in full. So they waive their cancellation policy in front of my face as the reason for keeping ALL of my money. Says they have interrupted business operations and they could have booked another client. Keep in mind I think he takes most Friday's off. Being the reasonable person that I am, I agree that I should pay some money for disrupting their day with a last minute cancellation. But what about the 6 follow-up sessions? They were never booked and therefore the cancellation policy doesn't apply. Do these (6) 90 minute sessions have value? YES, $350 each! And was business ops interrupted by canceling these sessions, no, not at all. But this group of unscrupulous, unprofessional business fools, don't want to return 1 dime. They are ONLY in it for the money. I would never recommend this firm. You can find more compassionate, more professional help and a more reasonable price, anywhere. NEVER NEVER NEVER.
