This is like a tiny version of the Moseley Farmers Market really. You will see the stalls lining the Victoria Square end of New Street on the first and third Wednesday of each month and there will be plenty there to tempt you. I always head straight to the ostrich stall and either buy a burger or some fillets to make an ostrich stroganoff. Prices are what you would expect really, with a burger costing in the region of £3.50-£5.
As well as ostrich you can purchase jams and chutneys, dry cured bacon, pork pies, cakes, wines, hand made cheeses, ciders, breads and lots more.
Why not nip out at lunch time and get yourself a gourmet sandwich?
The market is on from 10am to 4pm and in December it's on every Wednesday. Even better! read more
