It sounds silly but if you get a good experience in these sorts of places you are much more likely just to pop in again even if it isn't overly urgent. This is due to the large number of flat conversions, which are often without plumbing for washing machines. Alas, a laundrette is a necessity. Bubbles is nothing unique in terms of price (£4.20 per machine cycle - around £1-2 for drying) but it does benefit from a constant attendant on site, which means you can ask for assistance when needed and also feel comfortable leaving your clothes in the machine if you need to pop next door to the shop. Bubbles also offers service washes and has decent opening hours, which means you can feel safe in the knowledge that there'll always be time to keep your clothes smelling fine.

I contacted CITIZENS ADVICE who informed me that if a dry cleaner loses or damages a item of clothing the customer is entitled to financial compensation under the Customers Consumers Rights Act of 2015. On the 15th January 2025, I returned with all the necessary receipts to discuss a possible refund, ideally for the cleaning fee and money to cover the cost of repair. The manager claimed he was not responsible because he did not own the business 4 weeks ago! According to him, he's not liable, yet did ask if i wished to leave jacket for repair, I declined. He was confronational and very intimidating. I've been using this dry cleaners for 15 years, such a shame to have lost a reliable, trustworthy, independent business in Kemptown.
