Fink's Country Farm Review Out in Wading River (Manorville), there is a very unique farm, Fink's Country Farm. Like other farms, they have a farm stand where the freshest locally grown vegetables can be found. Also, like other farms, there are acres of rows of plantings. Pumpkin picking is big here and wheelbarrows are supplied for the public to use. There is something very special that is found here in the form of entertainment for children of all ages. They have a petting zoo. There are cows, chickens, emus, alpacas, mini horses, mules, and ponies you can feed. You will also find a variety of pigs, goats, ducks, turkeys, cattle, peacocks and pigeons. In addition to the zoo, you can take a hayride around the 55-acre property, find your way through a tall corn maze, or roll in a large cylinder along a track. The owners made clever use of old trucks found in various locations on the farm. One has been artfully displayed as a water feature with water flowing out of its cab. There are a variety of slides, a corncrib for children to jump and crawl around and a very fine country band. Since you will be spending several hours here you will be hungry and there is ample food to enjoy including the hot, buttered corn, the ubiquitous hot dogs and burgers among other things, and even a pizza in a separate location. Love their produce. Peaches were so juicy & loved the cherry tomatoes, so sweet. BUT my ultimate favorite is the fresh eggs!! Never thought I would go so crazy over an egg but here I am posting about them. Don't know what they do that makes these so delicious, whatever it is, it's genius! I'm obsessed with them. Definitely looks like a great place. I went a few Saturdays ago and it started to rain but we did walk around for a little while it was misting to see what they had. They have bouncy houses, a corn box (like a sandbox but with corn kernels), horse rides, hayrides, corn maze, and much more. The property is huge and it would have been nice if we could have done all the activaties but the weather did not permit. There is a charge of $15 to get in, but because it was raining and we stayed less than 2 hours we were allowed to get our money back! Which I thought was very good customer service since we did not get to really do anything. This place was adorable! I brought my 17 month old and 3 year old and they had such a fun time. We were there for over two hours and we still were not able to finish the farm. We couldn't really stay the kids were exhausted from all the activities and running around they did. There is so much to do and play around. There's good music playing by the corn field and there is a live band on a little main stage. The only food I tasted was the brick oven pizza that they bring out there. It was some of the best pizza I've had! This is a great place to take the kids on a weekend. It is a little pricey to get in but it was worth it in the end. My only qualm is the bee infestation on the property. They were everywhere, I don't know much about bug infestations but I'm there had to be nests everywhere. We set out to go to apple picking at a different farm nearby, but was lured to Finks Farms by the many signs on the highway. This farm is an excellent experience for children and adults too! There was a live band (that was amazing), corn maze, pony rides, hay rides, pumpkin picking, animal farm (children can pet the animals and feed them), bouncy house and more. We will definitely return again. Things to know: -The food line was really long, and the food wasn't that great. My husband and I took our 2yr old son to Fink's yesterday and had a wonderful time! We spent 4 hours there, and only left because we were all getting tired. It wasn't super crowded, and we didn't have to wait online for anything. My son absolutely loved running through the corn maze and getting his picture with Elmo (who is his favorite character right now). The animal farm was pretty big, and you could tell they take good care of the animals there. The band was pretty good and it was nice to hear music while eating lunch. I love how creative they were using farm materials to make the train, see saw, etc. to give it an authentic feel. For people complaining about the price, running a small family farm is expensive. Family farms in the US are really struggling and disappearing at a alarming rate. I am happy to support a local business that has been on Long Island for generations. Without running events like these, who know knows how long these farms will last. And then we would be stuck with another Wal-Mart or Home Depot in that location. Very family friendly. So much to do if you have younger kids. Things like pumpkin picking, hayrides, corn mazes, a bunch of different animals, playgrounds, etc! They sell yummy corn, hotdogs, pulled pork, apple tacos, candy apples and a bunch more fall favorites. I really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, very delicious!! It was $15 for adults to get in. If you're in the fire department you do get a discount for $11 instead of $15! CASH ONLY!!!!!!! But if you do forget to take cash they do have a atm inside the little market. The lines for the food/snacks moved fast. The hayride wait was about 10/15 minutes. Wasn't too bad. You do have to pay for feeding the animals. Prices range on the size of the cups. Small cup was $2 and the biggest was $10. Parking is free which is a great plus. Not a far walk at all to the activities. Definitely would recommend to go if you have little kids. This is seriously a kid bonanza! Every child's autumn adventure dreams lie here. Pumpkin picking, hay rides, human size hamster wheels, pig races, roasted corn, maze, animal farm, corn slinger, candy shop, it keeps going and going! They have this huge pool of corn kernels that everyone jumps in and I really contemplated doing it (I'm in my 30's). The people that work here were fun too. We attended a child's birthday party here and were really impressed and surprised with the length they go to create another world here. What an amazing experience I had at finks farm! So much to do and inexpensive!!! I brought my 9 year old nephew and my 5 year old niece and my 30 year old best friend and we all had the best time!!!! I went to finks farm with my gf strictly just because there was a sign offering hot roasted corn when i arrived they said we couldnt buy the corn unless we bought A fall festival bracelet. I said i only wanted to buy two roasted corns and leave and they told me they needed collateral to know i will come right back, but they wanted human collateral! Went here with my family of 5 was very disappointed in the price and the employees were horrible. Do not come here unless you want to wait online for an hour for unlimited bouncy houses and hayrides. I felt like they targeted my son because he was like any other 2 year old, I spoke with a manager about one of the employees and she offered to talk with her and give me a free pony ride, I turned down her offer because I wasn't looking for compensation I was looking to enjoy a nice Sunday with my family and not a conformation with a "bouncy house" employee. Ever year for the last few years we've went for the fall festival but this year will sadly be the last. It was so overcrowded that literally everything except for animal food (which none of the animals ate since their food bowls were already overflowing with uneaten food) had an extremely long line. Even the bathroom was a 15-20 min wait. There needs to be a cap on how many people they allow in otherwise it makes the entire experience overpriced and miserable for kids and their parents. Also make sure to bring plenty of cash since the only thing they accept credit for is admission which they tack a 4% card fee onto. read more

If you ever wanted to get the full autumn/fall experience with the pumpkins, apple cider, animals, hay rides, corn maze, then Fink's Farm is probably one of the best to check out. This farm is just awesome!. The entrance fee is a little steep at $15 (children 2 and under are free), but that allows you to the following free activities: farm animals, hay ride, corn maze, throwing hay at each other in a small sectioned area, a tent where you can lay in corn kernels (think ball pit but with corn kernels instead), live music, and access to the grounds. Almost everything else, you will have to pay a la carte while on the grounds including: feed for the livestock, shooting gourd pumpkins at moving objects reminiscent of Angry Birds, a variety of kid's rides, and all the food. I've been to a few farms in Long Island and upstate New York, and have not seen all the amenities available at one grounds. Usually, we'd have to go to one farm for kids rides, another farm for a corn maze. So again, you're paying for the whole ambiance and convenience of everything at one single location. For kid's, it's great because I can't imagine packing kids in and out of the car to go to multiple destinations. My favorite part was The Barnyard, where the the farm animals are located ranging from ox, roosters, chickens, goats, cows, pigs, donkeys, ducks, and there's even a small barn for where all the small / newborn animals are. Some of the staff may let you hold or pet a couple of them. The animal grounds is decent-sized with a few stations throughout to sanitize your hands. My one concern was the cellular tower right next to where the cows are. I can't imagine all that radiation could be good for the animals and visitors. The corn maze is small and has a staff member in the middle sitting on a tall lifeguard-type chair, just in case people actually get lost in the maze or need help. The hay ride is a quick 5-minute ride that goes along the perimeter of the corn maze, pumpkin field, and vegetable fields. You may be able to see a few vegetables still in the ground ready to be harvested. The ride is pretty boring for the adults but the kids may enjoy it. As for the rest of the grounds, there's picnic tables where's there's about 3-5 closed sections for birthday parties and private parties. The bathroom facilities is a mobile trailer truck, but I was surprised at how clean the bathroom was, with running water. It felt like a normal bathroom to say the least, not your typical porta-potties that some farms make available to their customers. Overall, it's a nice experience for the kids and younger adults who truly enjoy the fall-themed festivals. Biggest bang for the buck at $15 per person? probably not. And if you're money-conscious and/or contemplating the $15 entrance fee, I'd probably advise not going, as you'll probably regret spending that money. But overall, we had a great time and the little one did enjoy staring at all the sights and sounds. read more

Used to be a great day, but now it's a very expensive proposition to spend the day waiting an hour for corn or watching 100 people pour into the entrance every minute with little chance of enjoying the grounds or activities since people are on top of each other and it's an hour wait to get on a hay ride or bouncy house. I went there with my family. We went to the store in front to buy some vegetables. My nephew went to buy one apple and a candy apple. When I asked my nephew how much he paid for the Apple he said $1.00. I asked how an apple costs a $1.00 when they are priced per pound. They said they gave him a discount on the candy apple and as they thought he was alone they were doing him a favor. A favor??? What kind of favor is that? The bad reviews of this place must be that of people that can not be pleased. I live on the North Fork and visit many farms out here with my family. Finks offers so much for my children to do. Many of which is included in the price. Like many of the Farms they charge a fee to get in. They have an amazing amount of animals to feed and pet, many play grounds for the children to explore, giant dried corn pit, tractor rides included, and many unique experiences I have not see anywhere else. They are always courteous, the place is very clean. Don't listen to the bad reviews this is a great place to take the entire family. read more

Brought my family to fall festival for the first time. This is the best farm I've been to in years!! My two girls 5 and 12 enjoyed themselves so much we stayed all day. Never once did they say they were bored!! The animals were amazing and well kept very clean. And amazingly not smelly! Food was great! The corn playhouse was my kids favorite !!! Best corn maze! I honestly don't know why there are so many bad reviews. When you come to one of these things you always expect it to be crowded and nothing is free. I will say that 15$ to enter is a little steep but they had a few bounce houses, this trampoline/bubble thing the kids jumped on, corn maze, zoo, Elmo was there to take pics with tractor ride and the pig races were all free. They also had live music. The lines to get in were a little long and the pony ride line was way too long ..they need to organize that much better. Face painting cost 10$ so I quickly rushed my daughter past that because I wasn't willing to pay 10$ for some rainbows around her eyes, no thank you. I wish there were more food trucks just more stuff to eat in general. My daughter had a blast and I definitely think it was worth it. The bees were EVERYWHERE but there's nothing you can really do about that. Oh and don't ever buy their mixed berry pie there...it was horrendous. Other than that we all had a great time. read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE employees with OVERPRICED stock. I stop at Finks to purchase flowers for Calverton Cemetery, which is right down the road. Today, it was extremely crowded and I parked to the right of the farm, not knowing there wasn't a clear way in. I honestly thought I was in the parking lot. I went into the barn-like structure through the back and was almost scolded, but my apologies were accepted. I purchased flowers ( which are bought back from Calverton for $2.00 and are resold by Finks - this is confirmed by a friend of mine who works at Calverton), and some vegetables. As I proceeded to go out the way I came in, I stopped at the back of the barn-like structure to ask if I could go that way, as all other ways were closed. I was scolded with a condecending "excuse me" screaming at me. I turned around and said I didn't think you would be so angry. This nasty woman said "it's not the way !!" She then directed me to a gate that was closed but a teenager lifted up the rail so I could leave. I mumbled Thank you, but I guess that wasn't enough for this obnoxious little girl, who then shouted in the most arrogant, obnoxious tone 'Youre welcome" So I made a mistake with how I entered this place. They were beyond rude, and yelling at me as I was leaving after I just left with my weekly purchase was completely not necessary. read more

FINKS STINKS!!!!!!! Extremely disappointed! As a family of 5 most things are quite expensive. But $75 just to walk in is completely outrageous and unexceptable. Being told there was lots to do inside and that my children would have to be accompanied by an adult was a joke. Not one activity consisted of me actually part taking besides walking threw a small corn maze and a animal farm! When I asked if just one adult could pay bc my boyfriend was only staying for a half an hr the employees became rude and then told me "what do you think you pay at the movies?" Excuse me but even with 5 of us and snacks it's not $75! Not to mention more than half of the activities there cost additional money. This was a huge waste of time and money. If it had just been the $15 per child I would have been more than happy to have paid the $45 that seemed worth it. But the additional $30 for my boyfriend and I to walk in the freezing cold and do nothing is ridiculous! Do not waste your time coming here.
