Fiona's on Fig was legit a pain free experience. I usually have my eyebrows waxed for $6 and threading felt so much better for $7. I walked in, signed in, and sat down immediately. I was in and out. Sundays are slow but steady in the shop. Oh and it's Sunday. Free metered parking Sunday. The best. By the time I sat down to be worked on, guests continued to stroll in. I found this place on Yelp by chance. I usually get my brows waxed elsewhere, but my regular salon is closed on Sundays and by appointment only. I found Fiona's on Fig and couldn't be happier! Fiona's is usually my go-to for brows - I literally recommend this place to all my friends in the SGV. All the girls here do my brows beautifully - or so I thought. There was a new girl working there today. All the girls there are really good at keeping my brows thick and nice, but for some reason, this new girl made my brows super thin and straight, and changed up the shape completely even though i just asked for a clean up. I'm completely upset and as soon as I left I had a complete meltdown in my car and cried my eyes out. This experience makes me so sad because I'm usually a regular and I recommend my friends here all the time. I probably won't be returning here for awhile which breaks my heart. This place used to be a convenient location, fast, and great pricing. But after today's experience, I might not return again, which makes me sad. Not bad for a place in HLP! I'm glad it's close by my MIL. Mira did my threading and what a great job she did. I will always go to her. The cost is very affordable; I always get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded and the total comes out to $11.00. Another great thing is that they accept all major cards! They also provide stampcards. Once you reach 10, you get a free service of your choice. They recently remodeled, so their office is now bigger and the bright blue wall decors are aesthetically pleasing. There are metered parking in front of the shop, but they are competitive to get (depending on the time of day). Fortunately, there is a lot in the back. Certain spots are free while a few others are metered. I love the feeling of the soft, aloe vera-dipped cotton ball rubbing against my freshly threaded skin regions; it is just so refreshing. I walked in with bushy, uneven eyebrows that lost their shape and walked out with cleaned, even eyebrows (while still maintaining most of the width). Not sure the name of the girl who attended to me, but I don't mind trying out others at this salon in the future since other Yelpers have mentioned that everyone does a great job. The only reason why I put 4 stars as opposed to 5 is because when I got home, I noticed that there was a small section above my eye where I had gotten cut (?) if it can even be considered a cut since it was really just 3 small specks of red. Im giving it the benefit of the doubt since it's possible that my baby hairs were just really short and she was trying hard to get them out; it attests to how clean and detail-oriented of a job it was. The best part is that I walked in on a Sunday afternoon after easily finding FREE PARKING in a lot behind the building (on the adjacent street) and waited no longer than 10 minutes. And despite the detailed job, she only took 10-15 minutes to do my brows. Will definitely be coming back! read more

This place is AMAZING! Mamta is a magician with her hands, she has always done an absolute amazing job with my eyebrows. I'm extremely sad because I moved and am no longer in the LA area and no one has been able to slay my eyebrows like her. I'm seriously considering driving an hour just to get them done by her. The place is very cute and clean. There are only two ladies threading and there's one lady ahead of me. They ask me to sign in and I do. It must have been about 10 minutes of waiting. Went there today for eyebrow threading, first time customer and first time doing the eye brow threading. Seems like there is only one person doing the threading, but she is fast and does it exceptionally well it is well worth the wait. And the price was very reasonable $6.99 for the eyebrows. They also offer full face, lips, chin etc..., But I can only vouch for eyebrows she shaped them beautifully. I will be returning again. Very clean place and friendly staff. Oh and they have a returning customer card after your 9th visit stamp you get one free, which is great ! it did hurt a bit, but if you can handle plucking and wax you will be fine with threading, Also my skin was a tad red . But 1 hr later im back to normal, just put some non-scented lotion like lubriderm and you will be A-ok and with some nice shaped brows. I love it! read more

Fiona's has saved me a few times and although I have a regular person that I normally to for my threading (and I honestly feel like I am cheating if I go somewhere else) I love this place. The prices are great and they are really really sweet! I never like to walk in but every time I have, I have never had to wait more than 15 or 20 mins which is fine by me. I was so happy to find a great threading studio so close to my work! A miracle! THE AMBIANCE: Three-chair threading studio that plays good Indian tunes on a television so you get to both listen and watch while you wait. You sign in and check off what you want done when you arrive. THE WORK: These ladies do an amazing job. I have come across three (3) different women and they are all sweet, polite, and thread well. THE TIPS: They close at 7pm on the weekdays. I recently found out about the parking in the back so I have always parked in the front on Figueroa and the meter is $1.00 for 1 hour. Keep an eye out for the time because the meter maid is on point and will give you a ticket. read more
