Seeking to ease her into a passion for paddling , I sought out a group experience on calm waters. Safe was the operative word. I saw a social media posting for a guided tour of the Connetquot charging a small fee for dropping in your own vessel. They run this tour weekend days. Until November. There was a group of about 17, some with their own kayaks or SUPs, others rented from the business. Rob provided great direction, was informative , and a genial host. Lisa and I probably had time during the 2 hours to have small conversations with everyone in the group. The canals and river were so easy to navigate, scenic, tranquil, even with some light powerboat traffic. Not an abundance of wildlife but we had a great close encounter with a great blue heron. We are probably comfortable doing this without guidance now, but might choose to join up again for the group experience! Check it out while the weather is fine and the waters are warm! P.S. - I fell out of the boat before we even launched. Looked the fool in front of all but that just started the day off with laughter.

I loved that we were able to bring a small lunch bag on with us without it falling off the board. She had a map for us on hand so we knew where we were going since it was our first time in this area. We paddled through the canal which was much calmer and a lot to see. We came out by Bayard and just floated around before heading back. No issue. It was pretty straight forward to go there and back. She has merch back at the trailer which looked very cute. I would definitely rent again ! Great day.

I was nervous about losing my balance especially due to a recent concussion. The instructor really put me at ease and walked me through everything. With her guidance, I was able to learn how to correctly stand up, hold my paddle, balance, and maneuver the board. As an elementary teacher myself, I really admired my instructor's knowledge, patience, and ability to predict my needs before they even came up. I enjoyed it so much I came back for a second lesson with my husband! He caught up to my abilities extremely quickly! And this time, I was really able to take in the scenery and the beautiful area Moku Loa is based out of. The Oakdale Yacht Club itself feels like a vacation resort, but on the paddleboard you really get a chance to immerse yourself in the tranquil landscape. Seriously, the shoreline is absolutely gorgeous, not to mention the different wildlife we saw while paddling. Eventually, I made it to the Connetquot River and was able to take a quick swim before paddling back in! Just an amazing and fun day here on Long Island! Again, I would definitely recommend Moku Loa Paddle Tribe to anyone with Paddleboarding needs. And also for those of us who could just use a tranquil and refreshing break :)

We are in EH at least 2x during the summer and as my son has gotten older we've looked for low commitment but high entertainment activities- paddle divas checks all the boxes. They've got adult lessons, you can book solo time (a first for me this past June with Paddle Divas), yoga classes out on the water, and a kids adventure club. If you have any hesitations at all, they make you feel comfortable and confident and will outfit you with the right equipment / board to make sure your paddle time is safe and you build confidence. My 8 yr old loved his 2 experiences this past week at adventure camp and is already asking if he can go again next year (yes!). The camp took a little paddle field trip to the East Hampton Shellfish Hatchery and got a glimpse into some local environmental work being done. A cool experience that offered a bit of a local touch. We just loved our experiences this summer and we couldn't recommend Gina and her crew any more. 5 stars.

I emailed (a day in advance) to let them know I can't make the lesson and did not hear back. I then tried calling several times, left two more emails, but they've seemed to disappear from the face of the earth. I've taken classes with them before and was very excited to try the winter programs, but I'm now considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau or escalating to my credit card company, since Skudin is holding hostage my $150 and completely unresponsive. Terrible customer service, complete disregard for honest business practices and protecting the client.
