The class covered the basic parts of the gun, the parts of a round, proper handgun grip, stance, loading a magazine, racking the gun, unloading the magazine, clearing a jam, finger position, the four universal rules while handling a firearm and being in the shooting range, and learning the "compress" position while waiting to shoot. What stood out most to me was how strongly Vivian emphasized safety. She really drilled it into our heads, and I appreciated that so much. Even though there were about 12 people in the class, Vivian made sure to give each of us personal attention. She took the time to help everyone find the correct grip and stance, and she had us practice repeatedly in the classroom so we could enter the range feeling confident. She was very patient, encouraging, and great at correcting mistakes in a positive way. I especially appreciated her help with me personally. I had thumb surgery a year ago and struggled with loading rounds into the magazine, but Vivian was patient and guided me until I was able to do it successfully before we entered the range. I thoroughly enjoyed taking this class with Vivian and loved her approach from beginning to end. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone looking to build confidence, learn proper handling, and get a strong foundation in firearm safety. My parents took this class last year and had been nudging me to sign up. I kept putting it off because sitting in a classroom for 8 hours over a weekend sounded like a nightmare. But wow, was I wrong. Joe and Terry made the time fly. The class was engaging, informative, filled with real-life examples that tied directly into their experience, all while tying in their great senses of humor. It was clear this wasn't just a dull PowerPoint read-along like I feared I'd get elsewhere. Their team is equally amazing: super personable and helpful, both in the classroom and out on the range. I didn't catch everyone's names, but every single staff member made the environment feel comfortable and judgment-free, which I really appreciated. I have another Sig P320 that I have in Phoenix AZ and it has Gray Guns competition trigger and Paul got the trigger on this Sig to match my Sig without putting a competition trigger kit in it. I highly recommend this business. Chris is an excellent instructor. He knows the laws, answers the questions and encourages students to reach out after the class with questions or how to navigate the online registration for CCL. Chris is very nice and has a nice sense of humor. Went to the range to qualify and I was very nervous as it has been a while since I went shooting. Chris helped me throughout the whole shooting process, giving me instructions and tips on how to load, check, stand, etc. Absolutely go to HBT. Worth it.

I've been interested into checking out PROCAM but was tainted by negative experiences I've had at…read moreother camera stores where the staff just seem to look down on anyone who isn't already a professional but the social media posts for their PROCAM Days weekend caught my attention and I figured that getting in with a big crowd would be the best time. In addition to sales and trade in promos they were having some speakers put on classes one of which gave me an even more solid reason to stop by. It's a big store with an impressive amount of photography equipment and just about every big brand and even some smaller ones represented. The photo processing and studio in the back kind of make it an ideal all-in-one location for all things photography related. They had plenty of helpful staff on hand to help out the crowd of people in the store at the time but the majority of customers clearly knew what they were talking about and what they were looking for. I would be interested to see how the staff are on regular business days but they did seem very friendly throughout all of my interactions. The back studio area where the class/presentation was held is an impressive size. I could see how it could be useful for a number of situations. All in all this was a great introduction to the shop and hopefully I'll be able to visit more often in the future.

What you'll find here is trustworthy, thorough, and detailed advice and expertise. Expect to be patient with wait times. They also have a studio space that can be rented by the hour for photo shoots. The only reason I have 4 stars is because I was hoping they'd offer more money for my camera. I will be back!
