First time trying this place, I must admit we were pleasantly surprised, the service and food were excellent. Our server Camryn I think her name is, was delightful. We tried their Lobster queso and chips appetizer and had some drinks. She also offered us some bread, but we wanted room to enjoy our dinner. I had the surf & turf with a BLT salad, she had ribeye with some mashed potatoes which were bomb and perfectly cooked. Ambiance of this place, romantic lighting, comfortable dark decor on the dining side, bar side looked pretty modern full bar and TVs in view each side. OMG! What an unbelievable meal. We were at Firebirds for a romantic birthday dinner. It was my first time there. Our server was fantastic and even brought a small birthday dessert at the end of the meal. Speaking of our meals....I had Shrimp and Grits while my date had a Ribeye. Both were off the charts! I was a little concerned with ordering my meal (Shrimp & Grits) since Ft Worth is so far from the coast, but the shrimp were plump and cooked to perfection. The sauce and spices were outstanding. Last....that Ribeye was off the chart! I was also pleasantly surprised by the fact that the manager stopped by to check on us and mentioned their VIP program. Came with family after a wedding. When we arrived the place was quiet and a few filled tables. A nice break from the loud wedding venue. Our booth was perfect for 6. Service was attentive and very pleasant. No specials were communicated. Most of the table had steaks, and two salmon dishes. Everyone was happy with their meal, except my premium Au Gratin potatoes were awful, I only had a few bites. Tasted like a processed cheese was used, ick, and the dish was unseasoned. We were a little underdressed. We Thought we were going to get burritos at freebirds. We walked in a little embarrasses as we were in shorts and sweatpants. Even so, they made us feel welcome. Very nice semi upscale restaurant, well trained staff. Great service - One of the plates was made wrong, and without asking or hesitation, they replaced it. So today we tried something new for my hubbys birthday he wanted steak. I told my boss that my husband wanted steak and she said Firebirds is great go check it out. So here we are and omg it was so good you guys definitely need to get their deviled eggs OMG fluffy goodness with candied bacon my husband had a chicken tortilla soup and he said it was bomb. I ordered the grilled salmon with shrimps. It was so yummy the sauce they had on top of it was great fresh crunchy vegetables, really amazing. My husband had a filet mignon with garlic, mashed potatoes and veggies on the side. He said it was great for dessert. We had the apple bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce really yummy and then we had amazing crème brûlée cheesecake with strawberries. Came here last night with my sister. The moment we came in we were greeted by Vee with a smile. Then our waitress Brittney was awesome! I ordered the filet and requested it well done. My husband ordered the salmon and shrimp. My steak arrived and was tough and medium rare at best. My husband's shrimp was grey and undercooked and the rice pilaf was ice cold. We sent them back and waited and waited and waited. We finally decided to leave without eating the entrees. I recently found out that the Diamond Black martinis are only $7 on Mondays. That's what I call Happy Hour! A few friends and I visited the Alliance location on 4/21. Katherine was our server at the bar tables. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The prime rib sliders are my favorite bar appetizer. You can't go wrong with anything on their Happy Hour! One of the General Managers stopped by our table, John. He was very welcoming and friendly as well. A few of us have been wanting to try a new restaurant. We chose Firebirds because the menu looked very good. It is only about 20 minutes from our neighborhood, so that was another plus. The restaurant is very quiet. It was nice to not have to yell to have a conversation at our table. We were 3 couples and fit perfectly in one of their booths. Our waitress was attentive and nice. The decor was nice and parking is easy. We are all excited about going back for happy hour. We have larger supper clubs and feel like it would be a good place to go with those groups. My filet was cooked perfectly. I was tempted to get the 3-course meal deal. I didn't, but one of my friends did. It looked like a great deal. He got the dessert to go. The Bread Pudding he got looked amazing and he said it was. I was a little jealous. My husband loved his Baja Shrimp Pasta. I was looking for great prime rib and found Firebirds on yelp. Even though it's about 45 minutes away from us, we decided to try it. The restaurant is very nice inside. The prime rib was good and cooked rare like I like it. The deviled eggs are not as good as I would hope some of the bacon pieces were burnt and the eggs just didn't taste fresh. The yolk part was good. The people at the host stand were nice. The bartender was not very friendly and our weight staff wasn't great. He spent a lot of time talking with the table across from us but just didn't show up with refills and to check on us. It took forever to get our dessert. Had to ask someone to get our waiter to come over so we could get desert and the bill and that took a long time. The three rating was mostly because of the service so you may want to try it if you like prime rib. read more

Yum yum yum yummmm!! We brought my grandmother-in-law here for her birthday. We had reservations for a Sunday afternoon for 10 and were seated right on time. Our waitress, bless her heart, did an amazing job! I wish I remembered her name because she killed it! They even allowed us to bring in the birthday cake our Aunt made as a dessert. I ordered off the Three Course Dinner section, which comes with a starter, entree, and dessert. I opted for the caesar salad, grilled sirloin, and creme brulee cheesecake. My sirloin was just slightly overcooked, but still delicious. It was a lot of food for $40 so I took home over half of it. I also couldn't quit ordered the lemon drop martini (hush, I wasn't driving!) and they were perfection! Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their food as well. Our first time, our server was nice. I got the caprese chicken pasta and wifey got a steak & baked potato (I think the aged ribeye), which was a tad salty, but just a tad, and I gotta say the mixed green side salad was one of the best salads I've had ever, anywhere, anytime. First time to this Texas location. Honestly, it was difficult to get to this location coming from Denton. The exit per navigation says Heritage Trace. There is no exit. We saw several entrance ramps to I-35W, rarely any exit ramps so we had to keep driving to the Decatuar exit and look around the back side. Just a tip for those coming from the Northside. Now, onto the food. Sydney was our server. She was nice and pleasant. We started off with the deviled eggs and Philly eggrolls. Both very good. Our party ordered the Tomahawk porkchop with carrots and street corn. It was moist and flavorful. Carrots and street corn were perfect. My husband ordered the sautéed shrimp and filet with a baked potato. He said this is the best shrimp he's had and really enjoyed it. The steak was more on the red side as he requested medium well. Next time, he'll take their recommendation to butterfly it. My niece loves pasta and had the Baja Shrimp pasta dish. Said it was delicious and had so much leftovers to take home. My nephew had the 3-course meal option with a Ceasar salad (no picture), the shrimp and salmon was seasoned well. It also came with a dessert option which he chose the creme brulee cheesecake (no picture.) We added the 5-layer lemon cake and carrot cake for dessert. Also delicious. So. Their thing is wood fired cooking. And we just got burgers. So maybe we didn't hit their specialty. However I ordered the steak sandwich ($24) with tater tots. I picked tater tots over French fries cause I figured this seem like a fancy place, and it's a $24 sandwich, surely these tots are more than just a tot. Nope, same old tots you can get a sonic. No special seasoning, cheeses, garnish, no nothing. As for the steak sandwich, it stated it was a ribeye. So let me clarify. It may be a ribeye cut of beef, but it's the size of a drink coaster and as thick a a slice of tomato. It was no $24 sandwich. The flavor was good. But ain't no $24 sandwich. The other diners were not impressed with the French fries, they too just seemed like they were pour out of a bag of frozen fries like the tots. Regular cheese burger wasn't anything special and not worth $18. The other chicken sandwiches were great flavor. The killer Mac and cheese was nothing killer. So all in all I can't knock the place because I don't get any thing wood fired. But I know us 5 probably won't ever give them a second chance. So if you go there, I would say stick to the wood fired stuff. Waiter and staff were great. Just cheeseburger and steak sandwich wasn't worth the price read more
