Who knew another Korean fried chicken place would be opening up in GR! So far I've tried the Snow Onion, Garlic Spicy, and Curry Tikku chicken. Every time, the chicken is fried perfectly with just the right amount of sauce. I personally don't like when the skin gets soggy from so much sauce and Firefox does well to avoid this. The Snow Onion is good too with the onions being a nice addition to cut the heaviness of other flavors. Other menu items I've tried include the Kimchi Fried Rice, K-Bibimbap with beef, and Yammi Tteokbokki. As a Korean, I would not normally order these dishes just because I can make them at home to my liking. But I did enjoy these dishes as well. The only thing I wish Firefox would do differently is provide pickled radish as a side. This is a given for Korean fried chicken and I'm still a bit surprised that they don't do this already. I LOVE Korean fried chicken. A lot. We loved Bonchon (which is now closed in GR) so we had a certain expectation level for this place. The chicken was very good. We ordered the spicy garlic chicken and their tikku chicken (which is made in their special charcoal oven for a different flavor). Sauces were good and sweet/savory. They use "natural sauce" use no artificial coloring and have no preservatives listed as some of the things they're proud of. We also ordered a side bowl of their beef bulgogi bibimbap. Everything was very good. I was a bit saddened that they didn't offer any banchan (side dishes) that you normally would get in a traditional Korean restaurant, but this is more of a fast food place. I got the Garlic Soy Chicken With fries and my husband got the garlic spicy with a side of rice. They warned us they were spicy and holy smokes they were. The garlic soy are amazing! Some of the best spicy beef bulgogi and kimchi outside of South Korea. The food is always hot and served fast. I do wish they would stop using so much plastic for serving food for for dinning in. Snow Onion Chicken, Garlic soy is both pretty sweet and savory at the same time. Recommend any of the 'Red Hot' series if you love spice and a challenge. I personally loved the gizzards as well! Yesterday I had the Bibimbap with chicken. It was excellent! The chili sauce it comes with is excellent as well, but not quite enough if you like a little spice. The sell extra chili sauce for 1 dollar which I will order next time I'm in town. Drinks are a little lacking here. Limited soda, sweet ice tea only, and water. When it comes down to Korean Food, our favorite is Seoul Market on 36th St. Whenever something new arises we like to try and see if we'll be able to add a new Korean favourite to our repertoire of oriental restaurants. The setup of the restaurant is nice. Sort of like a Qdoba line but not really. You arrive and the first thing you see is a huge TV with the menu on it. There's not many pictures, but the descriptive wording in a way makes up for it. The first time we went, we both tried their ramen. A seafood ramen and kimchi ramen. Literally it's ramen from the maruchan company with whatever you ordered on top. My husband was very underwhelmed with the amount of food received for what they charged. The kimchi ramen was ramen with a tablespoon of kimchi on top. When I say, I could've made this at home, I could've literally had made it at home. The second time around, we ordered something more traditional and to go. My husband ordered the bibimbap and fried rice with beef, and I ordered extra spicy pork belly. This time around, the food was much better. The food was A LOT. I enjoyed our second experience much better. The food was indeed much more traditional than its ramen counterpart. All in all, I'm happy we got to try it, but it's not a restaurant I'll be dying to come to anytime soon to have their food.
