Every time I shop in the area, I somehow end up here. I've been here multiple times and always go for the Spicy Cajun Chicken; it never disappoints. This time, I was excited to see the hot sauce bar is back! I tried both Spice Level 4 and the daring Level 10. Loved them both. Being brown, spicy food is in my DNA--so taste at your own risk! We ate here yesterday and loved it! The location was easy to get to. The food was delicious! I very much enjoyed both the turkey bacon ranch as well as firehouse steak & cheese subs. Stopped by today for lunch. Before ordering I used restroom. It was disgusting, dirty, smelled bad and no soap for washing hands. I asked the employee for soap and they said they were "all out". Gross gross gross! How do employees wash hands before touching my food if they don't have soap? A question I never want to ask myself. I will never come back here. I suggest you do the same. Manager at the San Felipe location is incompetent. Wanted to blame me for their system error. Wanted me to remake the order after I had already paid. Didn't want to give me back my money. Told me it was my problem. The mobile app doesn't have a method to cancel the order and he wasn't competent enough to know how anything work. No way to contact franchise owner or anyone who understood customer service. I have ordered from this location since it opened. I have never had an experience like this ever. I have so many loyalty points, I plan to use them up and never go back again. read more

I like firehouse - their sandwiches are consistent from location to location, and their staff is friendly (at this location especially). I am a firehouse rewards member which has earned me some free items & subs over the years. They usually do a survey on the receipts so you can get a free chip or drink next time you visit. Also, they had a big one combo get one sandwich free deal for Labor Day, so it was worth the trip today (in store only for this deal). My favorite is the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket sandwich - simple with cheese mayo and BBQ sauce. Goes great with some Miss Vickie's chips. Also, their drinks are all the same price so you can get a large drink combo for the same price of a small. The sandwiches come out hot and delicious. Only knock is that sometimes with ordering there are mix ups in what is ordered. Most recently we ordered one sandwich on white and one on wheat and the one that was supposed to be wheat (with some other modifications) came out incorrect. That was the soggiest bread I've ever seen on a sub. Wow. The whole bottom bread was mush. I'm really disappointed about it because my daughter and I try new sub places as our special outing! This is such a great replacement for a subway that I got so disappointed from my hometown location. The Engineer sub is all time favorite for my entire family. I often order here the same sub when I don't feeling well. Their meatball sub is tasty as well, much better than the subway's. It's absolutely advanced level subs compare to trashy subway subs are often times. Their online ordering app is a bit downside for the Firehouse subs (regularly it malfunctions so it's best to just come in the spot to order. They are pretty fast of making the subs). Always, the service were prompt, very organized and well trained. Not so enthusiastic performance but moderate; unlike how Subway employees often are very rude and unprofessional. Such a great replacement and I don't go to Subway anymore. This is the absolute choice for a good sandwich option. read more

As someone who grew up in New York City, I was a bit skeptical when Firehouse opened a couple of years ago. I needn't have been though. I'm a regular there. And although the bread isn't anything like the amazing fresh Italian bread I grew up with (sorry, nothing I've ever had in Texas comes close), their white or wheat is fresh and tasty. I love their meatball sub, probably the best I've ever had in Austin. Their corned beef/pastrami Steamer is pretty good too. The only thing I ever had that wasn't that great was one of their steak subs. They steam pre-cooked "steak" and it's not what you want. You want a "steak" grilled. Service is always excellent and they have one of those computerized drink machines that gives about a thousand choices. They have a really good cherry lime-aid (you squeeze your own fresh limes into it), that's awesome. I'm a regular and get "rewards" so that I get a free sandwich periodically. This particular shop is owned by an awesome young blonde lady. You can tell when she's working there also, she's really fast and sharp at the register. A few weeks ago, I placed an online order for a sub and my daughter went to go pick it up for me. While in route, she decided she wanted one too so I quickly ordered a 2nd one. By the time I placed the 2nd order, she was only a few minutes away so I figured she would have a wait. On arrival, the 1st sandwich was waiting and the 2nd was coming out. Super fast! Today, I just placed another online order for pickup and it occurred to me that this FireHouse has NEVER gotten one of my orders wrong EVER. Their app is very easy to use, the reward system is generous, the Arbor Trails facility is always clean, well maintained, and has nice bathrooms. The staff is quick, well trained, and courteous. There's just nothing not to love about this location. I always get the club while my daughter prefers the Italian. Customizing the sandwiches via the app is fantastic. I much prefer to order on the app rather than do it in person at the restaurant. I've never been disappointed here at the Arbor Trails FireHouse Subs! read more

I have ordered from this location in the past but recently, they seem to be having management issues. I've had two recent negative experiences with this location. One was an in-person order- after standing in line for 15 minutes to place an order, I walked out. The person at the cash register said he couldn't take our orders because they were too busy filling orders because they were working short. This was in December when omicron was at its peak and half of the workers didn't have on masks. Tonight, I placed an online order. The location closes at 9PM and I entered an ASAP order. After their online order system processed my payment, it scheduled the order to pick up at 10:30AM tomorrow. No warning. The location didn't answer their phone. I went to the location but they said they couldn't give me the order nor could they cancel the order. This location is a mess. There's a Five Guys, a Kerbey Lane Cafe and a Torchy's Tacos in this same shopping center- go there! read more
