I went recently and got the meatball sandwich, it wasn't too bad. I'm looking forward to ordering something else and some sides. My mom really enjoyed her sandwich and my son-in law did as well. This will be a regular spot for me. I was so happy to hear the background of this place; it was started by retired fire fighters and some of the profits are given back to first responders, brilliant. My son and I decided to try Firehouse Subs for the first time and all I can say is Wow!! We were definitely happy with the food. I had the amazing Veggie sub...sooooo good. The staff were so nice and prepared our order quick. The only thing that bothered me a little was that it smelled like urine, but it was because a homeless man was eating in the corner inside...so I can't be upset that they're also helping the less fortunate. While waiting and watching the ahead problem our order comes out and goes to the wrong person. He says " this is not my order!" Two for two are now wrong. The order that was given to that person had our order. We ordered to go!! Get it open and was then truly disappointed. It was cold!! Ordered hot. I was charged an extra $3 for some soggy chopped lettuce and shredded mozzarella cheese? I didn't even get chips and it was STILL an additional charge, absolutely ridiculous and a sad excuse for a side salad, just don't serve one if you don't have the ingredients. Save your time and take a trip to Mr. Pickles or even subway would be better than going here. I asked for mayonnaise to be added to my sandwich, and I was told that I would be given a mayonnaise packet to add to my own sandwich. I asked several times and the worker was very rude to me and told me no mayo would be added to my sandwich. I was appalled as I don't come to a sandwich shop to get a kit to make my own sandwich at home. What kind of sandwich shop won't put mayonnaise on your sandwich.. Very rude service. We ordered 2 subs from drive thru. A large Italian sub and I had a small hook & ladder. They were the most delicious sandwiches we had in a long time. The white rolls were very fresh and tasty. The meats were very flavorful and seasoned just right. Sandwiches from other places are either to salty or bland these were perfect plus when we got home they were still warm. Sandwiches were all good, no problem there. We have eaten at Firehouse Subs all across the country. This one in Stockton on West road is the only one that doesn't give a discount for Veterans. Veterans and First Responders were always treated well at Firehouse. But this one excluded veterans from the special category. So we will try Mr. pickles. read more

Experience in the store- This was the first time I ordered online for a pick up. I was greeted as I entered the store and went straight to the designated area for pick up as the store and online stated. I stood there waiting as 4-5 workers were prepping. There was no one in the store but me and no one asked me anything. 5-10 minutes later, a gentleman asked me what I would like to order but I told them I had an online order. They gave me my food and told me to check my order. Everything was there but as I took off, they forgot to give me my large drink. I have a gluten allergy and such a hard time finding anywhere I can eat. I've had gluten free sandwiches and they're all DRY and just don't taste that great. Their gluten free bread is heaven! After fueling up at Costco, No line was a dead give away to keep driving. The Mac and cheese was cold and the sub sandwich tasted like a knock off subway but less of everything. Firehouse Subs doesn't offer very much when you order it online. I tried it for the first time and this place was the worst tasting sandwiches. First of all, they don't have a variety of options to choose from when it comes to flavors of bread for a sandwich and not a variety of cheese options for a sandwich. Secondly, when they make the sandwich you mostly taste the lettuce and bread. Also, there aren't options to put down oil and vinegar and/or salt and/or pepper for flavoring as a sauce. Finally, the ingredients were all wrong for the sandwiches I ordered. I will not be recommending anyone to this place at all. The taste isn't what it's all cracked up to be. read more

Seems like this place is a hit or miss depending on when you go. Went last night around 8:30pm (only drive thru open) and we ordered 4 subs, we legit had to wait 15 almost 20 minutes in line. They were all the same subs, not sure why it took so long, even the light at the drive thru window turned off it was taking so long. Place definitely wasn't understaffed and there was only one car behind us the entire time.
