I don't know who the guy is who wore the green shirt and worked the register, today. But, he was unnecessarily rude to me, while I was waiting for them to prepare an Uber Eats delivery order. It took them 5 minutes to let me know that someone came and picked the order up, already. I ask every restaurant whenever this happens, if they are willing to remake the order, because Uber only sends an order to another driver, if the customer hasn't received it. If they are, I'll then contact Uber and ask them to send the restaurant another payment for the order. Since I got it--that means the driver did not deliver the order to the customer, for whatever reason, including a possible theft of the order. Uber is well aware of these occurrences. Instead of just answering my question, the guy tried to go back & forth with me about the previous driver, stating that they didn't steal it, because they are a regular. And, he proceeded to get more disrespectful. I had to tell him that what he was doing was unnecessary and to just please answer my question, then he finally did it. My time was already wasted and then he wanted to engage in an unnecessary dispute. That's not something I'm I do. My time is money. Every single minute counts. As far as I'm concerned, I've called Uber and had them block this location, so that I won't have to come here and pick up anymore deliveries. Stopped here last minute because I had rewards and was in the area. The location was clean (dining area, restroom, drink station, etc). My food was prepared quickly and accurately - always a win! Guillermo (hope I spelled that right) helped me - I was unsure of what size I should get - he suggested a small with my chips and drink, was the PERFET lunch size - as he mentioned. I used to love this place but it has gone downhill. The last straw was today when I found an 8 inch hair in my sandwich. I discreetly called the employee over as to not cause attention to other patrons. I told him about the hair I didn't make a big deal about it. As I was about to leave when he stopped me from putting the half eaten sandwich in the trash. Had a busy day so I ordered a sandwich online from this location. Showed up on time for pickup and there was a long line waiting to order. I walked up to the area for "pick up" and stood there and stood there waiting for the girl at the register to acknowledge me. Noticed several to go orders in bags piled on top of a sign that read "pick up orders" within 5 feet of where I was standing. Like most other places I assumed you just pick up your order. As I looked at the names on each bag the girl at the register rudely stated "you can't be in this area". It wasn't like I was in the prep area. So I asked "can you give me my order" which was paid for online and just sitting there. She replied "when I am not busy". Needless to say she went back to taking orders. I am not trying to jump the line, I thought the whole point of ordering online was not having to wait in line. I finally grabbed my sandwich and she starts flipping out. I walk out and as I suspected the sandwich was a soggy mess from sitting there for what was probably several minutes. Ordered online and came to pick up. It's 7:55 and the doors are locked. The guy inside looked up at me and continued doing his thing. I called. Asked why the doors are locked, he rudely said "because we're closing early". I asked why again, and he said "because I want too". I told him that they do not close until 9 and it's not even 8. And his response was "well I'm closing early today. I can take your order out". I told him to cancel my order. He arrogantly said "uhh yeah I'm already making it". First time here, very good hot subs. The prices are a little bit steep. For a large sub it's $10 and a medium it's $6 I believe and to add two combos it's $6 so total for two subs, 2 drinks and 2 chips $24. I ordered the Cajun chicken sub with roasted cherry tomatoes which was awesome but didn't have alot of meat on it but was full of flavor. The medium sub is rarely small and I should have ordered the "club on the sub" it was more fulfilling and tastier. The cashier and staff were all welcoming and nice for my first time here I'll say not bad one bit. I know what to order next time. I walk in and look at the chaotic menu in red. Really poor color to read off of. Hey red may be their theme but it was not easy on the eyes to read. I wasn't impressed with the employees. They had a unprofessional manner in their attitude and speech. One employee didn't even know the price difference between their 8" and 12" subs. She said it was about $2.00 or so difference depending on what sub I ordered. I found that to be untrue after reading the chaotic menu and found the price listed on their menu stating $2.00 more for ALL 12" subs. I ordered an Italian sub with everything on it. This company can't even make an Italian sub. Pathetic!!! It was so doused with mayo it was disgusting. Real Italian subs have oil, vinegar and oregano not globs of mayo - Nasty! Love this subs, they are fully loaded with meat compare to other ones. My Favorite is the New York steamer sub, and the Meatball is good also. Their hot sauces are phenomenal, there are like 20 different ones from mild to extra hot. You can even buy the one you like the most to take home. The one I recommend is #8 Ring of Fire habanero. Firehouse has a limited number of choices but they all taste great. My favorite is the smokehouse beef and cheddar. If you order online they have it waiting by the door for you to pick up. I've always had good experience here and the employees seem friendly. Probably the best sandwich shop in the woodlands area. My only issue is that it's a little pricey. They do a good job of moving you through the order line, and they have 4-5 workers working behind the counter, but they can't seem to make sandwiches in a reasonable amount of time. Perfect alternative to your fave sandwich if you're watching pounds or just leaving the nearby gym. Fails the bologna sandwich test. Here's the deal, I never complain about ANY restaurant as long as the food tastes at least as good as a simple bologna mayo sandwich. I've been to 3 different "Firehouse Subs" locations, 2 other locations were great, really great! So don't take this as a criticism of "Firehouse Subs" in general. This location however is far from great. Example, about 2 months ago, we ordered 6 bowls of chili and a few sandwiches. We received 1 full bowl of warm chili, 2 half full bowls of warm chili, and 2 half full bowls of cold chili (actually cold), and missing one bowl entirely, we were also missing one sandwich. I can understand a missing sandwich at a busy lunch hour, but half bowls of chili , and cold chili seems like more of a policy than a one time mistake. I imagine it goes something like this...1st guy,"Hey, we're running low on chili, don't take anymore orders of chili". 2nd guy..." Are you CRAZY? That's our highest profit item, just start filling them half way". That was then, this is now. Last week I decided to try them again, I ordered 2 sandwiches and 1 chili.($28 including delivery service)The Club on sub was good. The smokehouse beef and cheddar which is always great at other locations was disgusting! Couldn't eat it. Tossed into trash can. Last but not least, we have an overpriced HALF bowl of chili. Note to management, if you run out of chili, then you just run out of chili. Either buy a bigger pot or tell the people you ran out. Stop trying to stretch it with half bowls. Please train your staff better and to be mindful of things running out. We bought two large drinks, which they keep the cups in the front for. Guillermo the cashier said they were over by the other cups. Seemed a little off but we went to get out drinks, it was a medium cup. Even then we were okay with that but then there were no lids. My boyfriend goes to ask the front to see if they have any lids and the guy was very nonchalant about it and said nah that's all we have. Okay so you charged us for large drinks, don't have the correct cup size and then we were okay with a medium even though we were paying for a large and then you tell me y'all don't even have lids. We wanted to take our food to go. Then goes and started bickering in the back with the staff because we were upset at the situation. Nothing was done to remedy this. I am very upset. If you don't have something that's fine but let your customers know before charging them for something you don't have. read more
