5 star review I had Firehouse put tint on my 2013 Ford Raptor when it was brand new Dec 2012. About a month ago June 2025, I noticed some scratches & defects on the inside of the driver & passenger windows. I took it to Firehouse & had them take a look. They said the clear coat was peeling off and if I had my warranty paperwork they could replace it under warranty. I thought for sure that I had the warranty paper but after searching everywhere I couldn't find it. I made an appointment to have it replaced. I called them a few days early & they had a cancelation so I brought It in. I was willing to pay for the replacement tint since it was over 12 years old. Sandra said that they would stand behind their work & warranty even though I didn't have my original paperwork. So they replaced the tint in about 30mins or less & I was back rolling with fresh tint. I have used Firehouse on at least 3 vehicles & have recommended them to several coworkers & friends. They did a great job & even followed up to make sure that I was very satisfied. Unprofessional and low work ethic. Unfortunately I chose to tint my new vehicle here recently. After describing the level of darkness, they tinted the windows to what they thought was acceptable. No samples were shown, as they seemed to understand the request. Little did I know they were cutting corners. After tinting the windows, I realized they were too light and you could see all aspects of the interior and that they laid clear on the factory tint, so I called and asked if we could darker the windows as this was not the expectations set. They agreed and set me up with an appointment to come by the following week, which made sense given the premium this shop charges for tinting. Once arrived I was told they were not going to correct the windows or add an additional layer to darken them, that I would need to pay $400+ in materials to correct them. I was also told that "even Ray Charles can see the window samples" on one of the walls in the showroom, yet these were never pointed out to me or any customer when I was there. Nothing like a racial insult to earn them 5-stars of customer service. Not to mention trying to insult a customer. Just because you have a sign or sample somewhere in your shop does not mean customers see it, especially when you never pointed it out or reference it, unless you are combating a customer concern. Soon after insulting me and raising his voice he hung up on me. A professional and class act none the less. BEWARE: these guys are money grabbers who don't value customer satisfaction, and will take any opportunity to take your money. For all I know, they chose not to do the windows correctly the first time, so I'd have to pay additional. BEWARE: Scammers with extreme attitude. Worst experience ever! Sandra, rude asf!! Think she gets respect and saluted as you walk into to door. This girl was unprofessional, unorganized, and completely ignorant when it comes to planning and costs. Ryan, the owner, gave me a fair price for brow and full windshield at $150 since I'm a returning customer. To make the most out of the deal, I asked for back two passenger windows for another $150, paying that install full price. AND I was gunna come back to tip for great customer service... BUT because of their incompetences for pricing and how extremely rude Sandra was after she started saying I had to pay more than the original honored price of $300... they said I had to pay full price $450 and I can give them the difference since I could report the windshield to insurance. I hadn't reported this to insurance and they weren't sure if they were gunna reimburse me since I had a cracked windshield. Long story short, Sandra the girl in the front office copped an attitude with me because she couldn't get her sh*t straight, caused me to get upset because she couldn't do simple math, and I called her out on her bs, which then made Ryan mad (the owner)too, bc I had texts and FB messages for proof and showed them to her face. That made her even more upset so she started getting personal with me. DO NOT USE this company. They lie, cheat, and steal from others even tho you have proof for validation. If I could post the texts, I would. (See Google and yelp reviews, I'll be posting them there as well as this post). And if you're a woman. Check validation through "are we dating the same guy". He's everywhere on there. His reputation proceeds him. You'll see enough there to show the type of business they run and how he (goes by Alan too) operates. You don't do that to people. Great place for car window tinting. Got the more expensive tint with the lifetime guarantee back in 2018. Due to the extreme heat of Florida weather the back window began to bubble in multiple spots. Had the paperwork from when I had it done and they were able to place rear window tint under warranty. We'll worry the price. Owner and staff were quick to response to email and completed the work in a time fashion. Would recommend. read more

Had Tint put on my 2024 Lexus with 300 miles on it. When they installed to windshield tint, they made multiple scratches on my brand new dashboard and stated that because of the two week delay in notifying them, "a lot can happen in two weeks", trying to blame some other source, and refused to pay of the repair. Lucky to find Firehouse Window Tint back in 2014 after our Window Tint guy on Old St Augustine Road closed shop for good. Firehouse Window Tint has done a nice job applying window tint to all of our vehicles and my dealings with Kyle and Mack have been reasonable, congenial. The work they do is quality and only challenge sometimes is getting an appointment immediately since they seem to have a pretty steady workload of jobs queued up. Another slight quirk is that the window tint prices seem to go up year to year and seemingly the 20% military discount that I received back in 2014, they no longer offer. Also, as I noted on Friday 3/11/16, they work with you if you have any problems with the job. When I called to report an issue with the window tint job, Mack told me bring it by Monday and they will look at it and schedule appointment -- Replaced for free. I'm considering Firehouse Window Tint for my next vehicle job with the hope that I can get a good deal as a frequent customer; perhaps a military discount again. read more

I've taken several of my cars to this tint shop. I have always received excellent service and quality up until today. I bought a 2021 BMW 330i, tinted the windows 5% and wanted to tint the windshield. I asked for the CTX 15% film for the windshield and was told that it is not recommended because it is too dark. The representative said that I should go with the CTX 50% film instead. Unfortunately I did, to say the least it looks awful and tacky. I also noticed several scratches on the A-pillars which shows to me that little care and effort was taken to ensure my satisfaction. I just got my windows done form these guys and I'm super happy! They get you an appointment in a reasonable time. When you show up they are very attentive and I was impressed by how fast they installed my two front mirrors and strip for my front window (no more than 30-45 minutes). The two guys that I interacted with were friendly and made sure to go over the maintenance and what to looks out for during the curing process. I'll be recommending them to my friends! Since my first review I had to make two trips back here. None due to the fault of this establishment but rather once because someone decided to smash my window and break into my truck and another time because I made the mistake of taking my truck elsewhere and had the team here fix it about a year later. My recent experience is as good as my last. I called early in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in for a front window retint that same afternoon. I was in and out in about 2 hours. Waiting area is clean and staff is awesome as usual. Oh, and most importantly my tint looks the way it should and I love it. I waited about a month to write this review and no bubbles. (knock on wood) This place does cost a little more than other places around town but for the quality of tint and service... You can't beat it. I made a mistake to going elsewhere to save a few bucks and it ended costing me more. I'll be back with other vehicles in the future and will post some pics of my windows when I get it all cleaned up lol read more

Thought they were good guys. I previously had my Honda Pilot tinted there without issue. I am a chauffeur and own a Town Car that I use for livery. On the 4th of July, someone scratched my tint, so I had Firehouse strip and replace the tint. Kyle (I believe his name was) told me that there would be small bubbles for a few days while the adhesive dried, but if there were any after that to bring it back. Well there are several tiny bubbles (pics to come) all over all of the windows. I brought it back up there today only to have the owner or manager send his tint guy out to talk to me. The tint guy was not the same guy who originally tinted my windows, but he gave a list of reasons why there were bubbles (or not bubbles, in his opinion), almost all were my car's fault. Or maybe it was too much for my woman brain to comprehend -- his condescension was infuriating. Example of the tinter's excuses for the bubbles (or not bubbles): 1. Every time you have tint stripped and reapplied, it gets worse. My reply: Actually, there was no tint on the front windows to begin with. You guys only stripped tint from the back windows, yet there are little bubbles right in the center of the front windows that never had tint before. 2. Your car has felt around the windows. This velvety material collects dust. The "bubbles" are actually pieces of dust. "Look at all this dust. Come over here and look at the dust." (He condescendingly brushes dust off of the felt that surrounds the window to show me that it exists, I guess. I wasn't arguing the existence of dust.) His final offer was: It's not going to get any better. This is the best tint job anyone will give you. If you're not happy with it, I can strip the tint and give you your money back. Not once did I ask for my money back. I don't want my money back. What I want is a professional-looking tint job that I thought I paid for. I want my car to represent my brand and business. Every time I clean the windows, it irks me to no end. Also, if they know those cars have a tendency to bubble (or dust), why not forewarn customers so that they can make informed decisions BEFORE investing the money? I had 2 more vehicles that I planned on having tinted there, but now I'm looking for a new shop. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know. read more

Just had my wife's BMW 135i rear windows tinted. Went with the ceramic and a medium tint. Been a week now and all the tiny bubbles around the edges are gone. Beautiful job and the car is noticeably cooler inside. I did it to keep the interior plastic panels from drying out in the heat and cracking over time - plus it's a lot more comfortable to get in it on a hot day. Prices were very reasonable - about $175 for all 3 windows -and it only took a bit over an hour. Gilbert from Cool Koncepts recommended Firehouse. Don't forget, there's a reason it's called Firehouse so it's closed at odd times depending on the Fire Department's schedule for Kyle. That's OK, I'll wait! read more

Brought my wife's Bronco in to get the windshield tinted & it wasn't terrible, but you could definitely see some neglect on the prep work to get any debris off the window before the tint is applied. I was thinking it was an honest mistake & they'd fix it when I brought my truck in, more business for a correction on their end. My truck ended up with the same issue, I know my fault for going back. The installer, in a very unprofessional manner told me there's nothing he can do about it, it will never be perfect. Which is a lie because I have had multiple vehicles done elsewhere that were fine. Anyways, it just seems like he sped through the work & didn't take the time to do it right, now I have two vehicles with sand & bristles from a brush between the tint & the windshield. The owner was not around during both of these events, but he should definitely have a talk with his installer. I went to Firehouse because of their reputation and because they are good Christians. I have a brand new sports car and the first two things I had done were a ceramic coating on the paint/trim and a good tint. I selected Firehouse to install my premium film. Firehouse did a great job with the tint... The installer (lots of tattoos) made it a point that he hates late-model fastback Mustangs, blah blah blah, but I paid the man for a job well done. However, a couple weeks later I noticed a chip on the inside of the passenger car door paint. The car is rarely driven (20 miles/week) so I found it very unusual. I looked at the damaged paint under a jewelers 30x and it was clear a sharp knife or razor blade had actually cut into my paint, as there were 2 perfect horizontal lines running across the vertical chip. The resulting damage cut to the metal, and actually cracked the surrounding paint in a spiderweb fashion, which suggests force. I **thought** Firehouse was the type of place that would humbly admit when they make a mistake, and offer reasonable means to correct it. The owner should change the Bible on his counter to the page with Ephesians 4:2, read it and live it. I thought you were a couple of good guys who followed in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, but you really let me down big time. My original intent is to show the car when it becomes eligible next year, so I decided to get it repaired at one of the best shops in Jax and they told me straight up it was very likely the tinter because of the precision of the cuts, just like a razor blade. There are a few things that can make or break a tint job. The edge quality, the function of the rear defroster grid, and most importantly, the longevity. My first vehicle had tint applied about 4yrs ago now and it still looks brand new. The defroster grid still functions flawlessly. As for the edge quality, there's just the faintest line of visible glass when closely inspected, but certainly still an excellent job. Anytime family/friends get a new vehicle and consider tinting this is where I recommend. read more

Two weeks ago I got my tint done by these guys. I don't remember names but all the people I came in contact with were nice. The only reasons why I'm giving them a 3 star is due to the tint job. When your going to get tint done on your car you want it to be close to perfect and done right the first time especially if it costs you close to $300 for a two door. After I got my tint done on my car two weeks later I find bubbles in my back window. So me being off on the weekend I had time to call them up, because the tint has a life long warranty, and ask them if they could do a quick repair. The guy on the phone then tells me that I have to call them back on a weekday to get any warranty jobs done and to get penciled in. Sometimes I think, you give 5 stars too easily. So I rack my brain trying to come up with a single complaint, any negative thing at all that would justify a more somber 3 or 4 star review. I can't. Kyle emailed a quote and recommendation. He even texted when I told him I don't answer my phone usually but I'll see texts. I was still nervous about entrusting the car I'd fallen in love with and can't believe I own, to a stranger. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and let's face it, plunking down $460 cash money isn't easy, so I was really hoping I'd be satisfied and pleased with the result. I am. I know I need to give the tint 7 days to really settle, and let all the air bubbles resolve. I've no doubt that the bubbles will disappear so I'm writing the review now. Should I be woefully wrong about this, I'll be sure to update this review accordingly. But since I'm super pleased with it at this moment, it's a five star review. (I got the llumar ceramic tint 15% all the way around and air 80 on the windshield.) read more

I would not use this company again based on the (what I believe to be the owner's) reply to an issue we had on our tint job. When I contacted them concerning the shade of a tint we received not matching the back windows of our car (which we specifically asked for and was my main request) the response was immediate, but not very friendly. Instead of talking out the issue nicely the guy got very technical and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Okay, that's right, but you're suppose to be the professional and should have brought up those details being too complex for you to achieve on my request BEFORE we had our windows done. It felt like he was trying to put a woman in her place. The tint may be good quality, but when I'm trying to be nice to resolve an issue I don't appreciate the belittling attitude. Fast!!! Was told initially it would be an hour which is what I expected, they were done in about 40 minutes. My only gripe is that the tint on my rear window was scratched in 2 places and passenger side was scratched as well during install. I noticed it the next day as the tint started to settle in, and there are several tiny air bubbles on all the windows. Tiny but noticeable to me I guess since I own the car. I've been parking in the sun as instructed, will update if the bubbles go away, but I doubt the scratches will. Update: Well, 6 months later and the bubbles are still there as well as the scratches. I plan on having it re-done somewhere else, hopefully with better results. read more
