I had an awful experience with Daniel Highet, Technical Writer and owner of Firesign Media after I had contracted him to revamp my resume and FULLY paid the high service fees he charges for resume and cover letter updating. Daniel convinced me that he would do a great job and give my resume the kick that it needed to sell my strengths. To my great disappointment, after spending hours with him on the phone to provide him with adequate details of my job function and my work history, all he did was re-organize the content and proofed the wording on my resume for grammatical correctness and sentence construction without adding much to it. After giving him honest feedback that the work he did on my resume did not meet my expectation because he didn't change anything except re-arranging the content I already had, Daniel got extremely upset hanging up the phone on me. He was plain rude and unprofessional, I tried contacting him further since I had paid him in full but he had not delivered but he would not welcome any other discussions to settle or move forward instead he had some gentlemen contact me claiming to be his attorney who threatened me about posting comments or reviews about Firesign on public sites. WHAT a shame, Firesign Media has zero customer satisfaction policies and no guarantee of their work and their loyalty to customers. After paying them fully, they would not welcome anymore discussions after I expressed their work was not meeting standards. I highly doubt he has any experience in working on resumes or Technology Copy write based on the poor work done on mine. He can do the "talk" but CANNOT walk the talk ;( Daniel clearly oversold his capabilities when infact he was incompetent to do the job. Based on the work he did, in my opinion he has no knowledge of Information Technology and even after hours of explaining it to him, he still could not get it. On top of this, he had an outburst after I gave him feedback and was just rude, unprofessional and delusional about how he thought his work was the best. Good work always stands out and good work speaks for itself!! BEFORE CONTRACTING OR PAY FIRESIGN MEDIA FOR ANY WORK, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEY CAN REALLY DO THE JOB! I posted an ad for my content writing firm looking for new writers on Craigslist. I got an extraordinarily rude and condescending email from Mr. Highet saying that I should post my ad at McDonald's because " Mickey D's presently makes more than what you're proposing to pay a communications professional." While I see the point being made, I'm at a lost for why a "professional" would send an email such as this to a compete stranger at an anonymous email.
