I abhor all-things-car care. That is why I drive foreign cars. I know, I know... all Michiganders and Buckeyes love to hate the likes of me, but life's too short for car repairing or Dream Cruising on Woodward. So, we came in to just fill up air on only one of my tires that was very low. When I pulled in the lot, a service agent was coming out of a car he just completed working on, and we explained our need. He advised us to pull up close to the bay window and that he will fill it up for us. [inside voice "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Michigan anymore."] Yes. He actually said to stay in the car and that he will do that for us. Then, he asked if he may check all tires and fill them as well. [inside voice "WHAT? Where am I?"] "Oh, wow... that would be great -- thank you!" I said. As he came around to my driver's side, he noticed that my windshield fluid light was on from the dashboard readout. He asked if he may fill that up too, and to just pop open the hood. [inside voice "What's going on? What is this? You anticipated a need and offered to take care of it!?"] When he was done, I tried to tip him. He refused and explained that this was all part of their service. [inside voice "But, wait! We did not buy tires or got an oil change! What is this thing you call, 'service'? It's been so long, I forget it still exists."] We enthusiastically thanked him, and we drove away SHOCKED. ASTONISHED. MOUTH AGAPED. It was not a dream. It really happened. I got incredible service at no cost. Michigan, will you ever raise the bar of service? Oh, that's right. I come in two weeks later or so because I got a nail in my tire they informed me that there was a lock on spare so they patched my current tire. I made an appointment online but I guess it didn't go thru but they were still able to take me in as a walk in and got it done in just a few hours. Although I was a little annoyed with all the small fees I realized I payed after the matter and I wish the guy would have let me know about these fees before I payed but they still got all four on mounted and balanced for under 200 dollars. I went with purchasing online with a different company because I feel there prices on tires are a little ridiculous but if your just going in for a service they will get it done. I had an appointment today at 11am for a tire rotation with free inspection, it's 3 hours later and I am still waiting, I can see my car up on the rack and no one is working on it, I should have just done it in my driveway, crazy long time for a simple service WITH an appointment! Dishonest! I dropped my car off and was told they needed to put a new battery in my car to run a diagnostic. Charged me $100 to run a diagnostic test and then told me to take it to a dealership after running the diagnostic. I asked them to just remove the battery and I would take it elsewhere and then they said they were charging me to remove the battery also. When I confronted Pam with the fact that she said I needed a new battery to run the diagnostic she said she never said that. Don't waste your time or money. They're dishonest. Firestone people in Lakewood Washington, what a bunch of clowns, the two guys working the desk, IDIOTS, takes phone calls after you wait in line for help. Made an appointment 4 days earlier for Saturday at 2 PM...left my care there early and went across the street to do some shopping. I returned at 2:30 and watched them drive my car into a bay. At 2:40 no one was doing anything with the car. I asked why the car wasn't taken in at 2pm as promised, the clown at the register approximately another 20 minutes later said they were busy with other people. Then they came out and said, they could not find a nail in the tire, I never told them there was a nail in the tire, I told them the tire looses air when I drive it. It does not loose air when the car isn't moving. CLOWNS and more CLOWNS and pretty clueless! Dont take your car to them, even when asking for air in the tire, you have to repeat yourself about which tire it is! read more

Took my car here for a diagnostic. They told me that it was my PCM and that there was nothing they can do to help me because they couldn't order the part because my car is a Suzuki. Well I called around to every place in the area and then I finally just looked up the part and ordered it on my own. If I could order it they definitely could. I changed the PCM by myself and found out that that wasn't the problem at all. Soooooo they basically just took my $120 and wanted nothing to do with it. Turned out I just needed to replace my o2 sensors. I will never be back to this place. read more

They make appointments and then conveniently forget to put them in the book and then tell us we can just sit and wait all day and or just drop our car off and they will get to it when they can. What's the point of making an appointment. I had my son bring the car home and I called again to make another appointment and they pulled the same crap again and said it will be 2 hours because they have no bays available. All I need is a tire rotation. The staff is so rude they make customers feel feel like a complete inconvenience. We have spent a lot of money getting out cars repaired at Firestone shops, I guess it's time to second guess our choice in repair shops because a tire rotation just isn't important enough to them. I have multiple problems with this place. All happened on separate occasions. 1) they forgot to call me when my car repairs were been prolonged for hours while I have been waiting in the Starbucks across the street. 5 hours total to be exact. 2) they put the wrong brake light in my car and it burned out... found when I was pulled over by a cop. Aren't they supposed to check before they give the car back? 3) been told multiple times that my front brakes were about to be bare. I had followed the directions to the Firestone Social Care team. I received an email stating that I would be contacted by the management within 48 hours regarding the lack of service & compassion that I experienced. I did not receive a call or email within those 48 hours. I waited till the end of the week to respond to the Social Care team to let them know I had not been contacted. This was their response to initially not being contacted: "We're deeply troubled to hear that you have not been contacted regarding your concerns, Stephanie. We can only imagine how frustrating this experience must be and we'd like to offer our sincerest apologies. We were able to locate and re-escalate your file to the Area Manager in hopes of expediting this process for you. You should be contacted within the next 48 hours. In the meantime, please, do not hesitate to let us know if you need any further assistance. We're here to help!" It is frustrating that your company has zero follow through with what you say you're going to do. Telling me an area manager will contact me within 48hours is something I find hard to believe will happen based on past experiences. You may want to consider revisiting what the company's priorities are; most of the successful companies have customers as their basis of who their priorities are to serve. read more

Watch out for this place honestly. I came in on a Sunday for a simple flat tire nail in the tread and was told "oh your tires are pretty worn." I'm 42 years old been driving cars since I was 15 and the tires are fine just fix the flat tire please I asked. 4 hours later I get a call, they can't fix it and I need new tires. Puzzled I asked why they couldn't fix it and he went into why I needed new tires. Told him nicely to not worry about it and I would come by and pick up my car. Not only did they not fix the tire but they also wasted my time and didn't even put the tire back on the rim!!! Don't waste your time just go to Les Schwab. Matter of fact I ended up taking it to Les Schwab on Monday and guess what, no problems tire is fine and they didn't even charge me. This is review is about Ryan only! I borrowed my daughters suv today while simultaneously babysitting my 11 month old Grandbaby. At some point throughout the day the tire pressure light came on. I decided to make a stop at my local Firestone. At this point my very whiny Grandbaby had finally gone to sleep. I sit outside the Firestone for a few minutes contemplating, "do I really need a safe driving vehicle?" (Sarcasm guys) Ryan came out and saved the day! He didn't miss a beat. From his initial contact of hello can I help you with something to him checking the tire pressure and getting them where they needed to be at! While I'm sure that this is a service that is provided quite regularly, it was the level of service that he provided! I will return for tires! read more

On 2/9 I called to see if they were about to do an oil change for me. They told me yes but it would take 4-5 hrs and I would have to be there but 12:15pm. This was okay as I have movies to watch with my husband. Mind you this was during the Snow Storm of 2019. There was not sign on the door stating they were closing early. They called at 4:25pm, and left NO voice mail. We called back at 4:27pm to see if the car was ready. We were placed on hold than hung up on. Tried calling back and it just rang. My husband and I had to sit in the snow for over an hour waiting for and Uber as they closed early and never told us. Eric should have told us when we dropped the car off that they were closing early and we would have never left our car. Come in on 2/10 to get my car and to talk to the Manager and Eric was there and when I asked to speak to the manager another guy started talking. Told him I was not talking to him. AS I want the manager, as this point both guys stated the second guy was the manager. You should have stated you were the manager when I asked. None the less both the manager and Eric wanted to argue with me. When you only call me once time and leave no voice mail and I try calling you over 5 times. Customer is always right. You have a schedule online that allows you to pick a drop off. You get there an hour before the appt for a wheel alignment and the guy gives you some excuse about being backed up 3-4 hour! Really? Why even allow the website to schedule it? Really should combine local calendars with other Firestone's the way Uhaul finds an available rental. Might not be the neighborhood that's closest to me but at least I don't wait half a day to get an appointment started. I wrote a review on 1-31-22 and was contacted by someone in management who asked for me to email my invoices and to give them more detail about my experience so that my situation could be looked into further. I replied with the information requested for Firestone to only have the Manager of the Lakewood store call me and to advise me that he looked into the situation and that policies were followed and that he's sorry that I wasn't happy. My review is based on the following customer service and not the outcome. My tire light came on and I was in this neighborhood. I see this tire store and swing in. The waiting area was neat, clean and orderly although the exterior needs attention. I was not greeted on entry and in fact felt completely ignored. Once all of the other duties (including but not limited to other customers that were there first) I was asked what I needed but still wasn't greeted. In fact he never even smiled. This young man insisted on examining the tire and then pronounced it needed replacement. Standard procedure is to repair only the center third of the tread and this was on the edge of that center third so I get his response. Reread my first sentence here. Once I stated I was unwilling to purchase a tire he left without further statement. He left me to put my own spare on in his parking lot!!! Since I had no interaction with the techs or had any repair done I can not vouch for the integrity of their repairs. Overall I'd still say your hard earned dollar should be spent elsewhere. First edit: About an hour after posting the above I discovered the tire in question was not the leak. If the person behind the counter had taken time to delegate a pressure check I could have had the problem repaired without a costly replacement. Either way you go this was still a failure for this business. Second edit: Firestone (Corporate?) contacted me via Yelp in regards to this. after a few emails they promptly announced that this business was NOT related to Firestone and henceforth not their problem. now that's another customer service failure all by itself. your name is on the sign you are related to that business. the following Monday I called the store directly after learning the name of the manager. sadly I draw a blank on his name right this moment because I'd like to give him credit in restoring some faith to Firestone as a whole. I spoke with him for a few minutes regarding this and started that discussion with, "This isn't about trying to make you change your policy [on tire repairs] so please try to see beyond that and understand that this is about the visit as a whole." he listened patiently and I could just imagine a giant vein popping out of his forehead when he spoke. he did excellent at staying polite even though he was obviously very upset. I felt no need to follow up any further with him and felt that the customer service in his establishment would be getting a pretty serious overhaul. read more

When I checked in, I was told I could pay for an alignment for $95 upfront or when they do a free check, it would cost an additional $25....wtf? They pretty much force you to pay now or pay later. Dropped the car off at 11am, left for a few hours to get breakfast, came back and they hadn't even looked at my car yet. Waited there for another hour while they finally checked everything out and of course told me I needed all these other services totalling over 2k. I declined and had them just to the front two. They said it would be ready around 4:30/5:00. Went and saw a movie, came back at 5 and still waited another 45 minutes for my car to be done. Total waste of a day. I had a right control arm replaced to fix my alignment. It cost me around $300 and then something wonderful happened: Last night a bolt came loose, causing my tire to flap uncontrollably. I couldn't drive my car and had to call AAA. I waited 3.5 hours in the cold on a dark street until I could be towed. Les schwab spotted the problem immediately when they looked at it today. I've brought my car here a couple of times and it was all good. But today, my appt was 1230pm for an oil change, CHECK for the any oil leak and CHANGE my breaks. I brought it in at 1130am and even said they could keep it over night of need be...they were suppose to call me with a quote. I never got a call. I called 3xs and found out on the 3rd call, the tech left for the day. ALL DAY and all they did was the oil change and CHECK my breaks. I know my breaks need to be changed, that's why I asked to change it not just check it..Now they have my car til morning, cuz they said they have to put it together before I can pick it up...whay a wasted day..I should of went somewhere else. I'm upset because I'm driving out of state and need my car to be in good condition. Convenience is NOT better. My question obviously becomes, "Why would a business set appointments if they are not going to oblige by them?" It immediately reminded me of Jerry Seinfeld saying, "See, you know how to TAKE a reservation, you just don't know how to HOLD a reservation; and that's the most important part..."
